The Bolts’ equipment staff walks through their week starting from the minute the game wraps on Sunday to Monday kickoff in New Jersey. During the week, the equipment team trouble shoots, problem solves, and preps 12,000 lbs of gear for the next game.

Currently in school as a sports management major. Ever since I was 10 years old all I have wanted to be is an equipment manager, thanks to the Oregon Ducks. I greatly appreciate these videos, almost makes me feel like I’m studying for when I get to do it on my own! Go Chargers, Go Lions more importantly!

As a game-used jersey collector, I found this extremely informative. Really neat to see how they wash and repair jerseys. I own a 2021 game-used white variation jersey of Jerry Tillery that I photo-matched to 6 games. It has repairs on repairs. Really neat to see how this process plays out.

Royalties. A lot of clubbies rely on getting tips by players. Went to school with a guy that did it for an MLB team and he’s gotten Rolex watches, diamond necklaces as “thank you” gifts. Let alone all of the game worn memorabilia from players and autographs from visiting teams bats jerseys you name it. The amount of networking where if you scratch my back I scratch your back longer type of industry. He now is an athletic trainer for the same team.

You guys get your uniforms, including shoes measuring and socks alot better than the US military. The young men and women go through uniform fitting by only, and I mean only, asking them what size shoes, socks, pant, t-shirts, shirts, and hats are in about a few hours and I'm talking about 120 troops. I know for a fact that I didn't receive the special treatment like a NFL player does. I'm now a retired disabled combat veteran. After watching this video, I feel belittled by the treatment that an nfl player receives compared to a young man or woman who receives.
They like myself will put their lives on the line to protect the USA.
