4:38 "if you did this to a normal cow-- sorry, you are normal love" so sweet 😭
The way she ran out of the crush and then suddenly stopped was beautiful moment because it was as if she had stopped to thank you for helping her to walk much better with less pain. You are a special person of kindness, and this shows itself with every cow that you trim. It makes a person think about the billions of dollars which people spend each year when taking their pets to Vets and then it makes you wonder why so many other animals such as cows which are mostly used for profits of one kind or another but yet there aren't half as many hooves' trimmers or even Vets for these cows and other large animals.
They are they but their area of practice is much larger in the rural areas. Definitely appreciate our large animal vets and techs!!
I love the way you apologized to her and told her she was normal
I know right? As if he didn't want to hurt the cow's feelings. (I smiled when I herd that.)
I was about to comment on that too!
@@guitarbradyour intentional typo mooved me
I've got to hoof it out of here.
Graham, Thank You for giving me something POSITIVE to view !! Your care is on a level of doctor, way beyond simple technician !
I wish i could find a doctor as caring as gram is.
I've nvr had a Dr That's anywhere near as caring as he is
You’ll never find a doctor that cares more about their patients then Graham does! All doctors care about is money in their pocket!!!
She’s so pretty!
Side Note: I had closed captions on and it said the grinder was applause and her moo was music… lol
🐄🐄🐄🎶🎶🎶🐄🐄🐄❤️🎶🎶🐄🐄🐄Mooo-sic🎶🎶🎶🤣
😂😂
My goodness! The Hoof GP putting a block on a cow himself! You don't see that very often! 😂 Also, you could tell that lass had just calved by the way her udder was dripping milk from the pressure of the body band! I don't think I've ever seen that before on one of your videos.
😅..@ craigieboy or kev...😂😂😂
I saw that! Poor momma that had to be uncomfortable.
I was wondering if anyone else would see that 😅 as a breastfeeding mama, It made me laugh because same girl, saaaaame.
She even looked back as though to say thank you for being there 😊
Yes I noticed that too! So cute. She was saying until next time lol
For me it always looks like the cow is thinking "How did you do that ?? I'm not in pain anymore !?"
Projecting human reasoning and emotion onto animals is literally the most stupid thing imaginable.
I was going to say the very same thing. She looked back as if to say “thank you”. 🐄❤
@@-Devy- Just let people have fun. Everyone knows the cows don't actually say "thank you", it's just a cute thing to imagine.
There really is no need to be mean about it.
I have a horse with laminitis and it's the same thing with him as this cow: "You can't cure, but you can maintain".
He gets a trim every 8 weeks, and he's a happy healthy little man. :)
She even gave a thank you look back, clearly already feeling better. ❤
Yep, she ran out, then stopped and looked back, like her brain was saying "Wait, whut,..?" as she figured out that life was no longer pain.
I remember you working on her before. I am glad to see that you and the farmer are still doing what you can to keep her healthy.
I remember her too!
I know I remember her also poor thing so glad nobody has gave up on her .
Thanks for caring about every cow and bull. ❤
A quick look back to say thank you to you as she left the crush. Brilliant job (as usual) for very unusual customer, and she definitely will be feeling so much better. Much love to all, and kep up the fantastic work xx
I think she looked back thinking "Why, I'm no longer lame! What wizardry is this?"
She said thank you 😊
She’s bound to feel better. Thank you for helping all these beautiful creatures feel their best.
Graeme, I found myself holding my breath when you were using the grinder on the medial wall of her hoof! Thank you for showing when you trimmed her before. I loved the look she gave you when she was walking away-all that fuss for a new shoe?? 🐮
Thanks for taking care of the ladies. 💗💜💙🐄
I feel bad for this cow, but I'm glad she has you taking care of her hooves. Much love to you and your team, Graeme.
Oh the poor girlie. Even her milk is dripping. You care so much about these cattle, you’re a blessing to these farmer.😊
Ah she looks like she is better. Thank you for making her more comfortable
It's so nice to see someone not only care so much for the cows and animals he looks after but the passion he shows in his job. I commend you Sir!
Wonderful video; I remember watching when you first took care of this lovely lady. I have only the tiniest criticism: you said she just had her calf, and then didn’t show us the calf! 😂 In all seriousness, great job as always. So glad she’s doing better (relatively speaking anyway).
I think she's a milk cow, they typically get separated from their calves directly after birth, so thy don't get atached, to make milking easier😕. It's really quite sad, but nesesarry for big milk production.
English isn't my native language, sorry.
@@fennaintrup4494 Most dairy breeds have very poor maternal instincts, it was bred out of them. Just like our chickens!
I was watching her drip milk in the background and my heart goes out to her because I know exactly how painful that type of engorgement can be 😫
I love it when they look back as if to say thank you!
Graeme, you delightful soul! I'm happy to see this lady today. I remember the first videos you did on her (no I don't remember the timing of it any better than you) and I was just wondering what was happening with her. It's lovely to see her doing so well!
I hope her calf got a good meal in after this because she was fill to bursting! (I've been there with my babies, and it's no fun!😅)
It's okay Graham, we think you're gnarly and twisted too. In the good way.
As always, thank you for your care and compassion towards these cows/bulls! Thanks again for a great video!!❤❤
Never been here so early before. Love watching your videos, Graeme.
FIRST ❤😊
Gnarly is such a great word!!
I remember this cow from the original trim on the channel! Am I an OG? I still feel like I'm an occasional bystander even though I've been watching every single video for apparently a long time 🤪 Oh god...
Also, I once again thank you for the no-music episode.
She looked happy after you fixed her hoof
That was definitely a knarly looking hoof. I really think the cows understand you, Graeme. At least they understand that you mean them no harm and any discomfort you're causing only to make their situation better in the long run. They often look back at you. They're probably saying, "Good job, Graeme, thanks for the help. It's much appreciated. " You and the boys do a great service to the cows, for the farmers. I appreciate all of the hard work that you put into your profession. God bless you and your beautiful family. Sending love from NC 🇺🇸 💕
It’s always exciting seeing a Hoof GP video go up, it makes my day!! ❤
You asked us to show more love for Kev in your last video, so here you are mate! ❤
Aww. Animals know when humans are trying to help them. The way she looked back is her way of saying thank you.
Oh poor mamma ❤ Love how you apologised to her as well 😊❤
"we need to step in, yet again" - I see what you did there....because you're intervening and it's her foot and "step in" ...ah so good
Graeme you do amazing things for these cows. I'm a big fan. Love watching all you guys doing your work. Please keep recording. I love watching you.
I remember seeing her, Graeme! So saddened when you said you couldn't fix it. Happy to see she's doing great ❤️
Thanks again for another great video.
Oh she’s a beautiful mama! Thank you Graeme.❤️🇦🇺🏴
I remember her! She definitely appreciates your help and skill, Graeme! 🩷 From rural Alberta 🇨🇦
❤ I always find it amazing what you can do to help these cows!
OG was originally "Old Guard".... but it can take a modern twist if you like.
You've explained very well - thank you for sharing it
Your Bovine Manicures are amazing.
Agreed!❤️🐄
Question: when would you choose clippers over a grinder to shorten?? Remove?? Hoof horn?? Like what makes you decide to use one over the other? From the vids I have seen, on normal hooves, yeah it's def grinder over clippers as ya wouldn't be needing to take much off, but in an instance where you know you'll be takin a good amount of (like with this cow whose hoof was all twisted) what's the deciding factor?? Assuming of course overall pain and discomfort isn't apart of the deciding factor.
Ps, Dear Kevin and Craig, if ya gonna be standing around behind Graeme could ya at least make him a cup of coffee?? (Joking on this part)
I have to admit, I like your videos before I even watch them. When you know, you know 😏 😉
I appreciate being an OG. Graham says “You OGs may remember”
Me “Oh, that’s the one with toe necrosis”
Graham a minute later “she has toe necrosis”
*Insert Leo snapping meme here*
OG = original girly? You call cows grilys all the time so it kinda fits xD
3:17 is that why ram's horns grow into curls, and why human nails will curl if allowed to grow long enough? Because without a bone to follow the keratin just builds itself out in layers?
Oooohhhh, that's a good question!!!!
You're probably on to something
Nice
4:59 Drip drip!!!!🍼
I know I seen that also calf is probably bawling where is MOM .
Finally, someone else that noticed. It drips faster when he grinds.
@@anitatimmons9525if she calved a month or more ago the calf might not be nursing anymore. It’s a dairy farm after all.
@@marthamitchell9452 UMM I know I heard what Graeme said . I was just joking around so no need to scold me just saying . It may be time for her to go on the milking rotation machine .
@@anitatimmons9525 I totally agree. The more recent the calf the greater the milk production. Bottle calves can be notoriously hard to raise. If they want to keep the calf they may keep a couple of nurse cows that can feed them.
Love your work and your Videos. Big Greetings from northern Germany!
You wouldn't happen to trim ingrowing toenails? One of mine is crippling me 😂😂
It’s maintenance. Very necessary. I’ve got a friend with Charcot Marie tooth disease. She goes to a podiatrist routinely who deals with calluses because of it. Sometimes maintenance is necessary while not a cure.
She gets callouses from her teeth?
twisted AND gnarly!?
Love 💕 this channel because it shows that farmers do respect and care for their animals, some don’t. You, Craig’s, Kevin and the rest of the crew help these gorgeous gals stay as healthy and comfortable as possible ❤
Re checks are always my favorite! She waltzes out of the crush like a pro….👍
Hello Graham, longtime fan. Just a friendly hello from Nova Scotia Canada.
I like when the cow turns back to say thank you 😊
Love it when the cows moo, talking to each other and complaining their impatience. Like, "Yo, I feel so much better! You're going to love this guy!" and "Ugh! When is it my turn so I can go back home already?" and "Agh, my foot hurts so much! I can't wait until he gets that rock out!" and "I can't wait til I get home and get a treat from my human family!" and "What? No fair! I don't get treats!"
I love the way they look bad when they are released. They are saying “thank you “.
She looked like giving a high 5, nice job
look she's giving you some milk for your tea. LOL
I subscribed for the passion in your vidoes. I find the pus and all nasty but i love how tou treat every animal with dignity and respect. The hunt for the problem is always interesting too.
Despite the funky claw...she looks like a lovely healthy cow. Shiny coat and plump....
Kev just chilling and kicking rocks in the background 😂
Don’t look at my funky foot..look at my CuTe Calf.😅
That’s just brilliant ❤
Hi From Florida and we’re on a hurricane watch.
You can see her leave the crush with the block on still walking a bit janky, but totally unphased. Very nice.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating 😀 She’s a lucky cow to have a good hoof trimmer as well as a good farmer.
amazing and interesting job ! well done !
Hi 👋 Sydney Australia here , 5:27am here n sun ☀️ is still not up.
Gosh, I would love a toenail trim❤
She came out of the crush with attitude, like “it’s about time you get done!”
🙂 the cow turned around at the end to say thank you...thats how I like to see it 🙂
im sure she said thank you
I love my Herd shirt and so does everyone. It has a great meaning for us all appreciate
You should wear goggles. One flying nail fragment could cause serious damage. Safety first.🙏🏻
What a wonderful word "gnarled" is!
Not when applied to hooves obviously...
Is she leaking milk?
HGP that’s one hucked hoof, 👍😎🇺🇸 ! You could go fishing with that thing !
Reminds me of a pair of Dutch wooden clogs 😁❤️
OG means Original Grannies 😊
You're welcome
Graeme-“Oh, geez” is what we say as part of our Scandinavian culture in MN (next to Wisconsin.) I know you said “O.G.s” means Original Gangsters, but since you like to learn about new things, especially from across the pond, I thought you’d enjoy this bit of history.
It’s ugly, but as long as it’s comfortable and functional that’s what matters.
I'm just wondering, as nothing else can be done for her would she not be a candidate to have that claw amputated Graeme? Thank you for another informative video. Best wishes from Oswestry, Shropshire.
Aww bless her your amazing you make so much difference to them. I worked with horses and loved watching the farrier.
I never fail to be impressed at how precise you are with that grinder. I am watching a genuine craftsman at work and that is why I do watch. That takes incredible touch and feel at take the amounts of hoof that you do. I've seen those wheels and I can bet they can do huge damage in the hands of a slop jockey. And you make perfect sense. You are an excellent communicator.
It is like she has the cattle equivalent of a club foot. And you are going amazing work with her. My hat's off to you.
Wow I'm early :-) that poor cow hoof!
If I remember correctly, wasn't she one of your first videos explaining toe-necrosis?
Glad to see she's still doing well!
What is her cow number please? I miss you telling us the cow number as you are working with them. Thank you for sharing your life and work with us. And being so friendly!
Huh. I said out loud you wouldn't use a block, directly before you applied a block! I'll stick to my desk job :)
She looked back to say THANK YOU after she was let out of the Crush
I know you don’t do goats, but I would love your advice on an abused girl we have here in our rescue. She was allowed to freeze to the ground. Lost half of one back leg, and the hoof on the remaining leg looks very much like this cow. It is also extremely hard, like trimming rocks. Any coaching you could provide would be greatly appreciated
Hi Graham, I remember this girl as I've been part of the herd for a very long time! I have never missed one of your vidoes since I subscribed to the channel, plus I really look forward to them as I find it so interesting, plus i have seen you heal cows, when you never thought you would and doubted yourself! when you said it's one that you had on the channel before, I thought it was one of your favourite cows 812! But I don't think it is her, I can't remember what her name? But anyway I think this is a case from and 3 or 4 years ago? Does she belong on the farm that your brother inlaw works at? I'm also sure that you got her hole hoof to close over at one point didn't you? so it wasn't a open lesion? I remember you being quite surprised that you did get it to that stage, but please correct me if I'm wrong. I might be thinking of a completely different cow 😂
I like how alot ofnthem looks back... like huh... thanks.
The boys in the background doing nothing with there hands in there pockets
I was getting distracted by her leaking milk. I this a regular thing? I don't think I have noticed it before other than when you sprayed Cragie.
