I love it how at first Mycroft is the one controlling the situation, but once it's determined they are going on a police raid, Sherlock and Watson are clearly in their element and Mycroft looks very uncomfortable!
@@hankeason4082 I believe more then likely it would have been an Addams Revolver but in this instance the Revolver belongs to Holmes so it would've been something he'd of privately owned.
Charles Gray made the best Mycroft; though I did like Christopher Lee in the Billy Wilder tryst. In fact, outside of the Granada Television versions, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes is one of my favorite Holmes outings. He did it correctly. Must be put on half cock in order to open the loading gate, rotate the cylinder, and check that all are loaded. Having a finger on the trigger is neccesary to put in on half cock and also remove it from half cock.
@@eddievhfan1984 Some older revolvers didn't have a removable cylinder and had to be loaded one by one through a slot. Some of the oldest ones were loaded from the front with powder and ball like a musket!
Only Mycroft could say "Come in, Sherlock" while being in Sherlock Holmes' house 😂
He is Sherlock's big brother so he can.
Well.... He is an Holmes!
😉👍🏻
00:42 Watson: Dear god, there's two of them.
"this is getting out of hand, now there are 2 of them!"
😂😂😂😂😂
You've clearly not seen the movie before; Watson had met Mycroft earlier already
@@derrickstorm6976If you mean the 2011 movie, then the quote belongs to Mary instead. 😅❤
I love Mycroft's face when he realizes that Watson is not only keeping up but leapt to the need for an interpreter first is wonderful.
imagine if:
Sherlock: "How did you get here?!"
Mycroft: "I walked..."
Sherlock: mwhaha ha HA!
Yes but it would be like a street tram materilising in your front parlour.
You know when Jeremy brings out the .45 Colt, shit's about to get real.
Especially considering it's always the good Doctor carrying the army revolver usually.
00:45 The look on Watson's face when Mycroft made the deduction in an instant lol
😆
Mycroft would have had time to dissect it before they returned.
Watson bloody well I live with one Holmes , one Holmes is enough but two!
Well... He is a Holmes!
The look of sheer shock when Watson, WATSON comes up with an angle neither of them had considered. HA!
Still by far the best and most faithful adaptations of the Holmes stories. Jeremy Brett still the definitive Holmes.
Charles Gray always bought a grandeur to the screen. Amazing actor.
Especially when he was in drag... ;-)

Best mycroft and best sherlock!!!❤❤❤
Five years later they still are! Although Elementary tv-show has a very good Sherlock they totally don’t missed the mark on Mycroft by a large margin.
Charles Gray was a very good actor.
He certainly was.
I FREAKING LOVE this Series. I'm just happy to know it's on Blu-ray now.
Only Mycroft calls Holmes "Sherlock"
Well they're both technically Holmes.
I have noticed that too
This is the best Mycroft ever.
I have a fondness for Christopher Lee too.
Charles Gray is the best Mycroft :)
I kinda likes BBC Mycroft more but this one is very good too.
I love JBs reaction 😂
Mycroft in one of Ernst Stavro Blofeld's earliest guises.
"Wattson, get your service revolver"
Which would have been a Webley, not a Colt.

The quintessential Holmes....
@DanielMumby He's wonderful. He and Brett had believable chemistry.
Watson dam bloody two Holmes I can only deal with one, let alone two.
Charles Gray! I practically grew up watching him.
懐かしいですね。また見られるとは思いませんでした。(^_^)
See, Mycroft is not fat..hes not even a medium at walmart
A most incisive observation.

Interesting seems even Sherlock homes knows Gun safety better than….well others…
But doesn't know about half-cock to check a single action's cylinder...
It’s just a jump to the left…
Shouldn't Charles Grey have a fluffy white cat and ask Sherlock to do the time warp
I have never seen Sherlock with a colt single action
1:17 “The Brother’s life is more important than the sister’s story!”
…
“Ah”
And therein lies the difference between Sherlock and Mycroft
Nobody saw he checked the gun incorrectly.. Tsk tsk Mr. Holmes
Holmes had his finger on the trigger. My my

@@Iceaxehikes Well done, sir.
@@Iceaxehikes Interesting. What model firearm is that? And is it a particular quirk of that design, or is that the standard for revolver operation?

what episode is this? and title?
I believe 'the Greek interpreter' but I only act upon an assumption, namely Watson refering to it.
Iron Duke thanks
It is indeed the "Greek interpreter"
*_Blofeld!!_*
😁😁😁
They're all shouting like they think they're in a play
@Kendra Dog - Excitement, adrenaline, anticipation
Mycroft is speaking loudly so Sherlock can hear him in the next room.,
