Jeremy's Sherlock does actually deducting adapted straight from the books. I don't think anyone can call what Cumberbatch does deducting. More like photographic memory and randomly jumping to conclusions

One of the things I really enjoy about Hardwick's Watson is that while he might put up a bigger verbal fuss about Holmes' more extreme investigative methods, there is *always* a part of him that's ready to throw hands in the name of justice. My kinda dude lol

I actually watched this version a while ago, and its actually pretty funny! I'm just confused as to if it looks like its made in the 50s because they wanted to make it look older then it is, or if TV was really still that bad in the 80s? Other shows from the time don't seem to look like it.
Hmm i don't think so? The quality is as good as tv got in the 80s. Not at all like the 50s tv I watch. The quality wasn't as good in some of the later series such as Memoirs of SH.
