Matanuska Glacier in Alaska- a day road trip from Anchorage- 3 hour hike on glacier

All the details to make a summer day trip to Matanuska glacier from Anchorage- this is largest glacier (23milesx4 miles) in US that is accessible by car- a 100 mile drive from ANC airport- cost of guided tour is $65. You can walk (literally walk) and hike on the glacier. Just wear comfortable tennis shoes or boots (may get a little muddy).
