This was lovely, Maddie! I am new to your channel, but already I am loving your personality and wonder as you explore! I'm glad you filmed the glacier the way that you did, because that is how I would be trying to look at everything if I were there. :) I kept saying, "WOW!" here snug at home in my cozy chair LOL I think the voice over your footage was great if you choose to continue that style!
Great vid Maddie!👍🏼 New subscriber here and binged all ur vids except for ur lives but looking forward to watching them and more to come. I really enjoy ur content. Keep up the great work 💕
Loved the video! I totally can relate to being too nervous to talk in front of people. The glaciers were so pretty! It was cool to see them up close like that.
I love Alaska too. I have been there 3 times on a cruise but the last time we spent 5 days on a land tour and it was amazing. We got to see the top of Denali and spent time in the Denali National Park. I so want to go again and be able to drive around and see the parts of Alaska we didn't get to see. You are brave to go in winter. We went in the summer...thanks so much for sharing your Alaskan adventure with us! I was fine with this style of vlog. You did great!
Great video. Those tall pointy ice pieces are called seracs. We walked through a crevasse and you stay on the trail also to not fall into a crevasse. Nice meeting you - it was fun!
Thank you for sharing! Absolutely beautiful!😊 my dad was born in Alaska, so it was so nice to see even a small part of the state of which he was born!!! Be safe! Much love to ya!
Very cool tour, Maddie! I liked the voiceover just as much as when you narrate live and it is easier to hear you. You also have the chance to add hindsight so no complaints here.
What a wonderful experience for you. This style of video with naration is just fine. Now that beer looked like a nice stout beer at 8.7% alcohol which means it is 17.4 proof.
Imperial spiced brown ale. Yum. I wonder what imperial means. When you get an imperial ipa it’s usually very high abv. But it also has a rich almost chocolatey porter type of flavor. 🤷♀️
I don’t remember exactly, but I would guess Greatland Adventures since I googled Matanuska glacier and their website looked familiar! I don’t remember the price either, but maybe around $300? The walk around the glacier may have been 2-3 hours, but with the drive there and lunch afterward, it was a full day!
Was your trip in February? I am trying to get tickets for December and it's not available. I do not know if it's too early to buy it, or if they do not have tours in December because of the weather.
@@BeerinBeautifulPlaces yes I see myself do that sometimes too and I don't even try it just does it automatically... Just a weird thing I guess, it's probably almost like a reflex of some sort.
what glacier tour company did you use? I missed the name. No need to give them free advertising, but just curious. I enjoyed the style of video. Of course, you can't talk too much during the trip -- You're Enjoying Yourself! We'll get the full story later, like you did. Always a joy watching you live a great life.
Going through that tunnel was probably so surreal. Any maybe a little claustrophobic. Also, are we sure that these glaciers aren’t made of gatorade? I’m not convinced.
here leaving another pointless comment for algorithm purposes…man that sunshine peak through giving some mad ultimate backyard snow fort vibes also will self-appoint myself to unofficially start a committee to rename the glacier to maddie-nuska
I appreciate that comment for the algorithm! Thank you! And thank you for heading up the glacier renaming committee, I think this is a cause a lot of people can get behind!
That looks like a wonderful time! Totally fine with a voiceover. It was kind of like a documentary style so very cool.😊😊😊
Yay! Thanks so much! 😊
Lunch and Beer Stipend!!!
Heck yeah!! Thanks so much!!
I loved it! I like the mix between a Vlog and voiceover. It’s great to live in the moment and talk about it later. Especially with some good video.
Thank you! Especially good to hear from another videographer!!
This was spectacular! The cave kind of reminded me of antelope canyon, but ice!
Yeah!! Great connection!
Wow, that view, how incredible! Can’t wait to try that cabin fever, and also loved the video style.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much!! That’s awesome to hear!

How cool! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching, Autumn!
Oh yeah, and I loved the voice over. It was nice you could fully concentrate on the filming and then fully concentrate on the explaining. 👍
Glad to hear it! Thank you!
Found from Newfoundland checking out JMT thru hikes and subscribed. What a personality that comes thru in your videos!
Oh yay!!! Glad you like it! 🎉🥰
Loved the video! I totally can relate to being too nervous to talk in front of people. The glaciers were so pretty! It was cool to see them up close like that.

What a great experience!
Yes it was!
Awesome scenery ,unlike anything in the lower 48. Thank you for sharing.
Yeah, super unique! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Those tall pointy ice pieces are called seracs. We walked through a crevasse and you stay on the trail also to not fall into a crevasse. Nice meeting you - it was fun!
Thanks for the info!
That was so beautiful!

This was great. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank YOU for watching!

This is awesome Maddie!! So beautiful and interesting; what a great experience!!
PS...the voice over style was great....so don't worry😊
Great, glad to hear it!
Very cool!!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed!
Very cool tour, Maddie! I liked the voiceover just as much as when you narrate live and it is easier to hear you. You also have the chance to add hindsight so no complaints here.
You’re so right! Hearing facts about glaciers is probably way more interesting then whatever I would have said during the tour anyway!
This is unbelievable- how did you get here?
On a plane! I have a vlog about it premiering Saturday if you’re interested
What a wonderful experience for you. This style of video with naration is just fine. Now that beer looked like a nice stout beer at 8.7% alcohol which means it is 17.4 proof.
It definitely felt like a heavy beer too!
Great job Maddie 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!!
Great video. This video style is great, voice overs work, they have their purpose.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video 👍👍
Thank you 👍

Looks very cold ❄️ 🥶
It was! My feet were going numb!
Which restaurant did you go to for lunch after the tour? The views looked amazing!!
The Ch'atanhtnu Ahtna river near you is the only river that has scarp melt water.
A 12000 year old glass of water that tastes like liquid gold
Whoa! What a fun fact!
AWesome video clip. Can you tell me which tour company did you use? Also how much was it? Was it around 3 hour tour?
I don’t remember exactly, but I would guess Greatland Adventures since I googled Matanuska glacier and their website looked familiar! I don’t remember the price either, but maybe around $300? The walk around the glacier may have been 2-3 hours, but with the drive there and lunch afterward, it was a full day!
I've always thought it would be cool to move to Fairbanks.
That would be cool!
so much love MADDIE

hi, which tour did you do? Thanks
How elegant... Pinkies up at 9:02 lol
I got in the habit somehow and now I can’t stop!

You have a great point! Who’s to say glaciers ARENT made of Gatorade?!
🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻cheers
Thanks!
Sweet! All those little sediment inclusions in the ice are so cool.
Oh yeah!

to cold snow and ice
It was chilly
