Wow! I just used a Gulp Minnow on a Trout Magnet jig hook at a local lake trying for perch. I ended up catching a 28" Pike on my 4# test ultra light rod. Heck Yeah!

I seen those somewhere just can't remember where. They even had the pinched crawlers in a jar. I wear a face shield whilst fishing most of the time anyways to prevent sunburn or wind burn. Or to keep my face from freezing off lol. So this whole mandatory mask thing isn't really a big deal to me anyways. Im good whatever date you guys pick. I'll be there. By the way, I bought 2 GoPro Hero 8 Black cameras thinking I would start a trout fishing and 3D printing channel. I made my first 3D printing video and before I uploaded it, I searched RUclips for 3D printing channels. Suddenly there were too many to count. I checked for Trout fishing channels and also suddenly too many to count. So I have a barely used GoPro Hero 8 Black I can give to you [NRV only, not an offer to everyone] if you want it and a few 256GB microSD cards. I offered one to Fish Hawk but he never responded. Now thar I've made it through his videos and I'm on your's, the camera is yours if you want it. There both in my storage unit.

The reason why you noticed how soft and gummy the new Gulp Minnows are is because Gulp has changed their baits to make it softer and more easily destroyed so that you would have to buy more of their baits! Everybody that has ever fished Gulp Minnows has complained about that. If you looked into any of the reviews for the baits you will notice all of the complaints about the new formula that Gulp has implemented. I used to fish an entire day using maybe 4 minnows, now I go through about half of the jar or more! This isn't an accident!
Not a "sexy" minnow but its how they are made that is key....also you can have them soak in whatever scent you wish. I'm even thinking if getting some food coloring (red) and put it in the bag to have some minnows soak up the color over the winter
As much as everyone tries they just can't match Berkeley. They rule the day for trout. I fish them just like live minnows and slay them day in day out. Especially Brooks, they can't resist. Helpful hint, get u some good camping spice containers. Put these into those containers and leaking issue solved. Watermelon Pearl is too color. Good video per usual

How many split shots do you recommend for using the 1 inch minnow
Only add split shot weights when in fast current or to get longer casts.
This is my next bait to try. Already got some in both colors.
