This is a magnificent performance of Brahms' transcription. The dynamics, phrasing, and above all the voice separation are perfect and the change in personality of the different variations is beautifully captured. I tried to learn this in my teens, I never quite reached performance standard but I still enjoy the priceless benefit of knowing it down to the last note.
This young lady achieved to make us feel that this could be an original composition specially for piano!....Bravo!
Amazing! Thank you for sharing.
I just can't get over how these classical pianists memorize so much music ,I'm totally mind blown!!!!!!!!
That is the easiest part of being a classical musician. I have memorized days worth of music. And my grandpa even more
@@Poreckylife If it is easy for you and you have memorized days worth of music, you are truly blessed. Impossible for me, I forgot more than 95% of everything I ever learned by heart on the piano.
@@FirstGentleman1 no I'm not blessed. I have to keep playing so my memory doesn't get lazy. It's work too.
@@Poreckylife It's work too sure, but still amazing.
@raymonddaye6831 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wirklich großartig, kraftvoll, melodisch, BACH!:) Die Aufnahme kommt definitiv in mein Repertoire, das fast täglich gehört wird. Vielen Dank für die tolle Aufnahme! Ein Genuss.
Oh my goodness- what sublime playing
Same level than Trifonov. Outstanding!! Thank you!!
This is very well done! Such musicality and subtle nuances I've not heard before played by anyone else. I keep coming back to your performance. Bravo!
Exquisitely direct with such grace and beauty. Thank you. One of my three favorite pieces in the world to play. Having surgery next week on my left wrist, and you have given me strength. So beautiful and elegant.
What distinguishes this performance among the all the "famous" ones is that this is played by an Angel. And that cannot be disputed. This belongs to her. Every movement of each finger on her hand from her wrist from her arm has meaning and creates beauty. Mind and heart combine with a technique that is as natural to her as breathing. I'm in awe.
Bravo! Just beautiful.
A very well played astounding piece.
Bijzonder mooie interpretatie van dit meesterwerk, I love it❤!
Muy bello !!! Gracias!
Beautiful rendition
Bravo! Thank you!
Étonnant ! Certifié intergalactique ! 🌹
Danke schon!
so wunderschön!
Wow❤
Lovely!
Mature playing for balancing perfect voicing with a sensational "timbre" sound on the piano I could tell by the first few minutes. Well done!! :)
Enjoying it ❤️🎵
Awesome 😄
Maravilhoso!!!
ayeee i found my left hand exercise
잘들었어요 ㅡㅡ새롭게 느껴지는 해석이네요
Using only the left hand makes it sound more like a violin.
😘
I'm confused. I thought this was a Busoni transcription of Bach's Chaconne from Violin Partita no.2 in D minor?
Are there more than one piano transcription of this glorious Bach piece?
Does this "Bach-Brahms transcription for left hand" qualify ?
Oh it qualifies. Transcribed by Brahms as Übungen. Brahms beats Busoni.
Eine sehr ergreifende Version!
Much better than Trifonov: beautiful, more correct reading, not labored . Bravo❣️🎶
Is this entire piece really played by only the left hand??
Me llega a doler el pecho
A mi también!! ?Mui hermoso, no?
And heart
11:30 here is the only hesitation😂
Lol
Chudesnoe ispolnenie
Extraordinary!
No relation to Roger, I assume. :-) Seriously, though, she's good.
An overwhelmingly difficult work for all sorts of reasons.
It seems that in an attempt to imitate the violin version, Ms Staubach does not really consider the progression of the bass part. Whereas Brahms was very conscient that this is a work for Piano...The rubati are rather new-found Baroque rather than Romantic.
Unless of course we rely on the définition of rubato by one of my learned professors: "slow down for the difficult bits".
beaucoup trop de pédale : on nage dans la résonance dès le début
