Being a peasant in the serfdom of New York we are limited to 10 round magazines. The downside is that is foolish. The upside is the magazines are ultra-reliable and compact. I recommend Renaissance Wax on the slide and sights for a pistol in an MCK. The fouling wipes right off with a dry cloth.
I like that! Thanks for the video:) Just wonder that what’s the length of “GEN2 EXTENDED STABILIZER BRACE” I just got gen1 and it feels like little short then what I thought. I heard that gen2 has longer brace then original, but website didn’t say anything.
This is what I have for measurements R C. Length folded is 15 inches, Height optic flush magazine 8 1/2 inches. 30 round mag inserted 13 inches. With about 4 1/2 inches. Stock unfolded 23 inches. The 50 round drum is 4 3/4 of an inch wide. Let me know if you need more info. Take care!
I just got one and have enjoyed shooting it. Just a couple of observations........ I tried using my Glock 23 with a LWD 9mm conversion barrel. With this, the ejection is quite soft and I found ejection to be problematic. The rounds didn’t always clear the gun and some brass got caught in the frame behind the pistol. I also had two stovepipe malfunctions and one double feed. Clearing malfunctions is more difficult with this setup so just be aware. With .40 caliber rounds, it ran fine though the weapons light came off twice. I’d imagine it would run fine with a Glock 19 though. It is very accurate and I’d recommend the thumb rest on the left side...... it helps and keeps your hand from creeping towards the muzzle. I wouldn’t recommend the brass catcher since it’s not easily removable.
Awesome info Craig. Thanks for that! That is strange your having so many issues with your G23 in there. Surely you can’t really limp wrist this in the MCK. But I still wonder why your having issues? Have you tried different ammo? I had major issues with the Self defense ammo awhile back. It just wouldn’t feed in the G 19 correctly.
I’m using the G19 gen 3 in mine and for some reason mine kept stove piping as well as jamming every other round on target ammo. Not sure why. I love the MCK I’ve just got to find out why it was doing it.
To prevent the buildup i put a glock 34 (gen 5) threaded barrel in and took the barrel cover out of the mck. No more build up problems. It will not work with the barrel cover in.
Hey Derek, so you took out the barrel shroud in the front of the MCK? I know you have to do that if your installing a silencer. But does it affect the fit of your Glock?
Wes Pope thank you, i have a glock 23 and even though this chassiy provides 3 points of contact, i was considering buying a threaded just to put a comp on it to reduce the muzzle flip even more for faster follow up shots.
Hey Julio, I don’t think it would. It’s a pretty tight fit and the groves line up for the glock pretty tight. But that being said it’s only plastic. I don’t leave mine in the MCK.
The front sight was completely covered with residue but it was easy to clean with some standard gun Remington gun cleaner, brush and rag. It works fine now.
What grain was you using. I’ve got one and and have the G19 gen3 and every other round was jamming up. I was shooting Precision Delta 115 just through my original Glock mag. Then put in my Federal personal defense 147 grain I believe and no issues what so ever. I’ve reached out to CAA about it but haven’t heard back from them yet. Thanks man
Hey Rick. I was shooting a mix of Wolf steel casing 115 grain and Federal, 115 grain. Really just cheap target ammo. Only ammo I’ve had issue with is Hornsby critical defense, that stuff won’t feed in my G19 at all.
When placing your scope on the MCK. What is the best placement on it so your scope is not to close or not too far away from you. Also once you cleaned your Glock was you able to clean all of the residue of including on the sight.
Justin Sherrod well if it’s a red dot then most red dots have infinite eye-relief (the distance from the sight to the shooter's eye), you can mount them further towards the muzzle or back towards your eye, and they'll work just fine. It’s up-to you. If it’s an actual scope you’ll need to have it so that your eye can see the entire site reticle but not too close to your face.
@@wcp0505 I watched this one video on RUclips about the MCK and the 50 round drum and the guy had one little problem with it and it ran fine after that he has must be some kind of special peace because mine sucks it doesn’t cycle at all it’s the worst design

James Walter I cant say that I have had any experience with those two guns unfortunately. Looks as if the MCK would be a cheaper option that is pretty flexible due to it being a pistol first. Daryll I’m not sure about the firmest for the Glock 23. The CCA MCK manual should tell you which length to go with, but you can run longer barrels in the MCK. What sight did you go with?
Nice video. Does all of that excess carbon come off with normal cleaning or do you have to do anything special? Also does the MCK leave any scratches on your slide? This thing looks like a lot of fun
Hey Flykings5, thanks for the question. So the clean up was pretty easy. I just used Remoil spray, a rag and toothbrush for the slide serrations (gen 5 Glock). Outside cleaned up pretty easy. Just a wipe down. Internal cleaning was about the same as normal. Just had to clean the outside of the barrel a bit more than normal. So far no scratches on the slide but I’ve only ran it a few times. I’ll have to see how it looks after prolonged use. For me though, my pistol is a tool I expect it to wear over time anyway.
if you're planning on doing a lot of shooting with a mck on.. its best that you coat/wipe on some lube/oil around the areas most affected by the build up... it'll be easier to clean afterwards
You do realize this is the first time I had taken out the MCK right. It does take some time to get comfortable, but there is a point that it becomes second nature with enough training. Anyway.
