😍😂🙌Hahahaha, that is AMAZING!!! Indeed, our videographer is EXTREMELY talented - not only that; he's an EXCELLENT engineer as well! The V-COMP+ doesn't play around. The thing is IN-SANE! Thanks for the love, support, and awesome comment!!
Great question! So with the switch in the "STOCK" setting, it sounds and performs exactly like the original V-COMP; they both use the SAME tubes, transformers, etc etc.. identical inside aside from the DRIVE switch and added RECOVERY TIMES (also, different VU meter obviously, hahaha. You CAN push the input going into the regular V-COMP past just turning the INPUT knob all the way up; for more aggression (sending more level to it from your D/A convertor) but this has a DIFFERENT sound than what this DRIVE switch does, as it lets more signal into the actual input of the CIRCUIT... which has a different end sonic result! ;-)
I’m going to break from most of the comments here and just tell you guys that I don’t think this year it sounds that great. The female vocal when it would hit the curve hard was really distorting I didn’t like the recovery on the male vocal. And the bass guitar sounded distorted before you even plug the compressor in and noticing that the output knob is barely even up so I’m wondering if there’s some sort of a weird game miss matching? A big fan of what you guys do and had a very long conversation with a friend of mine yesterday in another state about some of your products. I think this demo is not one of your better ones. I understand the drive kicking in and out but it just sounds like it makes it louder and not better. Love you guys just don’t think this video is one of your better ones.
Thank you for making the distinction between not liking the demo and the V-Comp+ itself. There are some additional audio files on our Soundcloud and product page if you want to check those out, they may be more up your alley ;-) Admittedly it may be hard to convey certain functions through a youtube video, the drive switch in particular adds a cool complexity to this design, it's not just a 'make it louder' switch. When engaged it 'drives' the signal harder through the whole circuit and especially the 6386 tube, adding more girth, saturation and wideness which happens all on the front end of the circuit. It does make the signal louder as you noted, which may be the most apparent result in a youtube vid;-) This is a BIG compressor to begin with, and it makes it even BIGGER. In some cases it may be too over the top, but darn it if it isn't an awesome addition to the design. We call it "The Awesome Switch' here on site.
Hahaha, hey Todd! Unfortunately, as you may have suspected - it’s simply not cost effective for you or us to do this 😜. Both V’s sound the same and both use the same exact tubes, iron, etc so don’t worry too much 😊. The V+ simply changes a couple aesthetics and adds a couple features. Thanks for commenting and watching!
@@blvkqmusicgroup Hahaha, sorry y'all - unfortunately it's much more involved than that! It's literally less costly to sell your current V and snag a NEW V+ if you REALLY have to have the meter 😁😜👍 - BUT, we don't really recommend that either. The original V's are indeed very special!!
This video is so well shot I thought it was a plugin.. I thought it sounded so good, then when checking it's a real unit. NO WONDER!

Thank you AudioScape for these awesome/straight to the point demos
Thanks, glad you like them!
Now that’s what I call a great demonstration on what this unit can do. I am so glad I bought two….
Amazing tone and I love the drive, it makes the vocal pop out real nice.
This thing sounds like a monster on bass! Love it.
Ahhh thank you thank you! FOR SURE - on vocals and bass it is DIFFICULT neigh, impossible to do better; only different 👍😎
Appreciate the loveeeee!
Amazing ! Can't wait to order one of everything in the near future!!
🙏😍😎 You're the BEST!! Thank you for your support!!!!
this sounds so outstanding.. i wish it was stereo
I would REALLY like to hear this on some Hip Hop vocals if at all possible.
Would a pair of these be suitable for mixbuss compression duties? Say in a similar vein to a Fairchild?
Please enlighten ... Which mic was used on Female Vocals ?
That DRIVE switch should be called "Sounds like a record".
I finally understand this
So without the drive on this sounds like the original version?
The original version cannot sound like this one with the drive on ?

How much to send in mine to be modded? lol
