Stannah panels use to be much better. Since changing their models they've gone downhill. I just wished they'd remain using the old panels.
There old panels were just Dewhurst rubbish, which I guess is better, but still rubbish.
Can you do a video demonstrating (electronic) brake release and rescue procedures? I've never seen it in use before!
Imagine if they went in and there were other youtubers who snuck into the lift.

So they used an off the shelf general purpose logic board for a lift? Maybe it's a new liftcompany that thought "we don't like the dedicated lift logic systems on the market, let's have a go at developing our own". They might have even recruited some fresh university grads to task them with the job of developing their own board. I wouldn't be supprised if they did that with idea to undercut thames valley controls. Still I wonder if such a cheap board would be certified for a safety critical system.
The Arm Mbed lift was very strange. It had 2 identical boards, one in the cabinet and one on top. I could not tell which was the main board and which was the repeater. From what I could tell the system did have relay lockouts for things like safety and inspection. The VF was a bog standard blind VF which is the main component for driving the lift. The Mbed just told it where to move. I found the system very weird. Every lift engineer would have to learn how the thing worked before they would be able to maintain the lift. The system did not push any boundaries in the running of the lift, it felt very generic with lots of delays.
Still funny that is uses an ARM processor. Used by everyone and their mother these days. One of the first computers I ever used has an processor: the Acorn Archimedes 310. It was my dad's pride and joy until we got a 486. We still have the old Acorn but the harddrive doesn't work anymore. I know these a common in the UK but they are a bit rare in the netherlands. Have a lot of childhood gaming memories with it.I kind of want to revive it but finding a replacement harddrive is a bit difficult and the single Double density 3 1/2" diskette drive luckily still works. Risc Os 2 was quite ahead of it's time.

i mean, you can pick one zelio, program it and make an elevator with it in like 30 min and it will pass a security inspection

There’s a lovely Doppler MRL near where I work, very cheap, installed in literally a week by a second company because the first went bust, it literally had terminal blocks on the motor cable...
I think so. I don't know much about Frenic VFs.
That is an MP system.. I think is the VS print with tool interface build in. It is just a regular type of elevator..

@@bandbgamesroom are you sure you're looking at the Profusion X here? I know the Profusion iS has a display like the type you mention
were these installed by CE Lifts? they install both SEC lifts and Borel (Proxel) lifts. So that could explain why there is two different models of lift, even though SEC lifts can handle two lifts in a set so im not sure why they didn't just install two of them. also i love how it has the google voice because the normal SEC voice cant even have announcements up to floor 9 because sec is so cheap

Also the same system (same logic on top of lift) is known as ARKEL (generiCrap) in Turkey.
Do you know who is Acorn? They're the exact ones who invented the ARM procssor, and now they've bought Stannah and are producing lifters and stairchairs ;-P

the Borel lift dosen't use Arm Mbed - it is a ProXel board (it even has the Borel logo on the top left of the board)

the inspection buttons are wired the wrong way around- down makes it go up
Also the MP - NEGA ™ elevator has this (idk if it exists)

its a MP / mac persa elevator, spanish brand. Completely crap, we had to strenghten all the steel inside the shaft to pass the inspection. The "safety break/catch" on the car breaks when you test it.

1. We never break in to anything. Lift doors are only latched for safety purposes. Also we have the correct keys. So we did not break in.
2. We know what we are doing. To do this you have to be very aware of what is going on around you.
