@@rawrfishing yeah any of the 2inch or smaller swimbaits are killer. I like the shad fryz and the googan snacky swimmer a lot. I also use the 2 inch keitech easy shiner

Jimmy pal I found a jig head that I like better than those thin head jigs and the trout magnet jigs. They are made by the same folks that make trout magnet but the are crappie magnet. The difference between the Crappie Magnet and Trout Magnet is the shape of the head. The Crappie Magnet has more of a ball shape rather than the tapered head of the Trout Magnet. They seem to come through the water better.

You should always have white, and you should always have green pumpkin and you should always have chartreuse lol. Key to success is to know what they want, swap off if they are not biting. my friend did extremely well with darker colors on that cloudy overcast day.

It does live charting too but I didn't use it that day. I have downloaded community map from Lowrance and it is pretty accurate
@@rawrfishing anytime you want to fish lake Erie anywhere from Toledo Ohio to Cleveland Ohio you let me know and my friend you and me and anyone else you would like to have come along we'll smash the walleye and the perch Google lake la Sue Anne in Williams county Ohio started out as a private thing the guy died he left it to the state of Ohio they manage it there's several walk on ponds and of course the big lake there's bluegill in there I kid you not as big around as a dinner plate 11 and 1/2 in long I've caught them I've seen them bigger than that something you might want to think about plenty of camping around there you'd have a great time
@@brandonstevenson1307 honestly, I don't remember. It's a long time ago. I feel that there are better reels for throwing weights portrayed on this video like the Ark Gravity bfs reel. Easier, further and more consistent. This reel is better for heavier stuff, longer rods etc.

It should be able to do Anything 2.25g and up, it should do easily for beginners. Down to 2 grams and under if you are a master caster! That is if you got the right rod, right line and right amount of line spooled on!

@@rawrfishing aye zephyr but nevermind i saw boondocky tested and compared zephyr and alphas air also gh100 .alphas air did a good job casting about 30 feet..zephyr merely reached 24 ft with thumb control and gh100 just failed lol..
I see, I can try probably later on the winter season. but I would hate to spend money on 2lb test line (expensive) and only do a few cast tests. I do have upgraded bearings so it would be interesting to see it go more than 24 ft.. but that is TOO short lol. The alphas air can sure go far, compared to what i have. and yeah.. gh100.. we can say it's the worst reel I have LOL

I was out fishing for Perch with small paddle tail swimbaits. Got a few and a Smallmouth Bass as well. Going to try those GrubZ for sure.
big perch will bite swimbaits up to 4 inches! but 3 inches will work just as well. 2 inch stuff seems like the key for me for these jumbos! :)
Zman needs to make a 1 inch grub. The mister twister 1 inch grub is chartreuse or black is one of my favorite baits for when the fish won’t bite!

ZMan grubs are prob the most popular soft plastic in Australia. 2.5 inch in Motor Oil or Bloodworm colour
They are good indeed. For some reason, grubs been not so popular anymore since the rise of finesse tail swimbaits.
One of my favorite lures Zman grubz. Also just picked up a bunch at discount tackle

This was just 4lb mono from Tsurinoya. Don't really recommend it as it got crazy line twist memory! Probably my fault for trolling a spoon tho lol.

Fine for me. But not as smooth as my 200 dollar plus JDM reels

It's the Zephyr rod as well. It's an UL baitcasting rod rated down to 1 gram.
