Hello, little question about the rear light on your bumper. Do you have some link to found the same ? There cover te hi-lift point is it exact ? Many thanks for answer, cheers
Hey man! Bit of a late response but I only just got my first '98 GU Patrol so I am slowly working my way through the essential DIY mods :) Thanks for sharing, this is great stuff! I did pretty much the same (Part 1) as you, perhaps my drill hole was a couple of mm closer to the original and I used the original bolt, however, my barn door no longer entirely shuts... have you come across this before?
I dont mean to be off topic but does someone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
@Issac Bentley thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Nice job, I've had the door swing back on me so will be doing this mod.. The roof rack, are the mounts part of the rack please or is this a tray to fit onto roof bars? Thanks
I tried to replicate this on a y61 patrol today with same strut length, not the same clearances available to mount the body end bracket so my strut was reaching shortest point and bottoming out before door fully closed unfortunately.. will have to conjure up a work-around.. cool idea though!
they definitely dont, you can hear the door pop open much louder after hes done because theres more pressure on the hinge, that hinge must become shorter and i think he has to slam it to get it shut
Enjoyed your presentation. Some great tips. Cheers from Australia😊
Nice video and modifications mate👍🏼 Well done😎
Great modification there J-Tac
Thank You! :-)

@Issac Bentley It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much you really help me out !
@Keith Landyn Happy to help :D
can you perform snatch recoveries from those shackle points on the rear bumper?
Sorry for the late reply. With the right shackles a snatch recovery would be possible... But those ones are only rated to 3/4 tonne.
The right answer is no, those are tie down points or tow points. They will not be rated for a snatch.
Clean work 👍🏼👍🏼
can you put up the link you buy both items?
I will do... :-)
Links now in the description box! :-)
Helikon-Tex?
Yes!

The mounts are part of the roof rack. :)
@@JTactical Thanks
What roof rack have you got on there?
It's a FrontRunner roof rack buddy!
This modifications work for y60 patrol?
I'm not sure... Maybe?

Where can i get a rear bar like that
You mean the rear bumber or the gas strut I fitted in the video?
@@JTactical rear bumper
@@dgfish23 I got this one from a company in Poland called Escape 4x4
@@JTactical had to do any mods to install it?
What length was the gas strut you used?
Hi Zach, My strut was 350mm with a 6mm Rod diameter. :-)
Great!
Good video though 👍🏻
Cheers! And thanks for watching!
You know there’s a 8dollar bracket you can buy on eBay to extend the barn door 🤣🤣🤣
😂 Yeah, I know. But it costs twice that again to get it shipped to the UK. 😑 I think this is a good alternative. 😁
Good 👌🏻👌🏻
v good
Those doors will no longer shut fully...
? What makes you say that?
This Mod has been done since 2017 and I've not had any issues with the back doors not closing fully.

I work for nissan. But maybe you got lucky.
