Listen to Fawn explain how she “awakens the senses” by combining seemingly disparate elements of nature, disco, fashion and a bit of gypsy caravan charm. Haha, I died when the dog walked out of the apartment 😂😂
I cannot watch this episode. Does the dog ever get back inside? I hear the dog yelping. OMG! All I can think is "please shut up and stop jibber jabbering and let the dog back inside already!" OMG! I am coming apart at the seams. Do I fast forward?
@@TheNemesis57 that was the bird chirping. The dog is at the birdcage within 30 seconds. The shot is cut a few times, so it seems confusing :)
the way the dog just...leaves Hahahahaaa
He came right back.
Can't say I blame him for walking out
Quintessence is an oasis of style in the desert of “ go out and buy all your furniture and accessories at one time “ !! I love to see rooms that *mean* something to their inhabitants! ❤️
We agree and thrilled you feel that way too
Nancy Ring Thanks so much - exactly what we strive to share!!
Yes. !!! I couldn’t agree with you more I come here for inspiration from these talented designers and home owners . RUclips is flooded with look alike urban outfitters all modern homes
So true. I'm an interior designer and I'm heartily sick of the 'churn' of fast-fashion interiors. I'm starting a new business making handmade lampshades from vintage fabrics and embellishments. I refuse to contribute to the churn any longer!
@@kyers9817 excellent kersten. RESIDING on the cape cod islands for generations, my forebears taught me Everything . I can cut a window pane and point and caulk, build, work on old wooden gaff rigged boats, create a perfect french seam, weave, knit, cook, bake, navigate celestially, resole shoes, you name it. THE plaster in our original family home, listed on the national historical record of old homes in the united states had horse hair plaster which i repaired, along with the never ending repairs. I love that you are creating lampshades. There is so much intensely beautiful scrap yardage and clothing that needs your hand.
Beautiful decor! Thanks dear Suzanna
I love things that shine and sparkle too! How beautiful! Thank you all!
Jackie Thomas our pleasure!
What a pleasure to visit such a fun, sunny, individualistic home. Susanna, I noticed that your clothes went really well with Fawn's interior! Too when the library in my town opens I'm going to look for your books to get some ideas. My efficiency apartment has been described as "...a cross between an efficiency apartment and a storage unit" (which it is!) and though I'm working toward minimalism that doesn't have to be a place that's completely utilitarian; I'm thinking about how to have even this small space show my personality and be comfortable and enjoyable.
Andrew Brendan 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Be fearless! The smaller the space the more you want to give it your life and personality don’t listen to those saying otherwise !!!
@@susannasalk7153 Thank you for input and encouragement, Susanna! It means a lot to me to get that from someone with your expertise and knowledge and whose advice I really respect. I'm going to remember what you said!
I love the chartreuse curtains. What a refreshingly lovely energizing place.
Love them, too! I didn't think I'd like anything _chartreuse_ colored (too intense for me, normally), but those- in that room- I love. I'd take them. ; -)
They are such a great addition!
Elegantly bright cheerful home that is such a relief from the dismal all grey houses that has been a trend for too long. This house has energy and is delightful. I do agree with other commenters about how loud the voices are and I have felt that about every single one of Quintessence's videos. I always chalk it up to how it is being videoed & possibly the editing. I still enjoy each and every video, thank you Quintessence team.
That over-mantel is a stunner. It deserves its own show. ☺️☺️
Camilla * 👍🏻👍🏻
What a gorgeous place!! Love!
Pito walks out the front door as she says "This is Pito!" ... "Wait, where's Pito?" ... "Oh, he's around." Poor Pito.
Update: Pito is doing just fine! 😊
Chris W he’s fine! he came right back in
@@susannasalk7153 Great news! Thanks :)
I geegled n DN got upset THT she's not bothered...huh hez around lol
I actually had to stop and rewind, I thought I saw him run out the door!
Whatever the glass ball on a stick is, I loved it.
This is my air!!! Once again ladies thank you!
Thank you - so glad you enjoyed!
I remember her living room on One King's Lane. My favorite thing was the two chairs with the floral fabric on the back. Definitely one of the most memorable rooms.
I also have an african grey. They have the intelligence of a young child and need lots of interaction and love. I hope he/she gets to come out of their cage every day ❤️
An African grey should not be in a cage as decoration or a curiosity.
African species are used to roaming freely - poor bird
@@AfricancoolChic listen to what she is saying. Normally the bird is free, but caged for interview. Actually she is highly intuitive to nuture the bird from having any reactivity to new guest.
@@bluewaterpines8323 I guess that makes it ok then 🙄 Nope!!! . "Normally the bird is free" 🙄. The bird should not "normally" be free. It should ALWAYS be free in it's own natural habitat.
@@AfricancoolChic Agreed! I find it outrageous that the host and the interviewer are so nonchalant about it. It's a highly intelligent being that needs constant stimulus and, most importantly, that was made to fly. It's really very sad.
Wallpaper lampshade!! I’m on it!
Right?! So good!
Right?!
Love the chartreuse curtains and the chairs...
Always love to see what Susanne is wearing, so chic!
Thank you!!
Yes. I loved her outfit, the sweater she had on is so chic!\
She was made for white jeans!
@@jackiethomas3847 totally agree.
Dear Susanna, I opened my I - Pad to follow my favorite Yoga practice, Yoga with Adrienne and nothing stops me from my practice - Except when I see a Quintessence new video. And, Brooklyn
? What ! Firstly,
your very chick outfit is always a show stopper. Love that sweater. That chair and that painting in the powder room is charming.
Thank you and namaste!!!🙏
Ginoris Baber So glad we warranted a yoga delay! 🙏🏻😉
Ginoris Baber Love Yoga with Adrienne!
I don't even bother waiting until the end to hit like, because I know in advance I'm going to love it. Love the splashes of green, especially those curtains.
Michele Paccione Thanks so much!!!
Bonjour mes amies, Now that was interesting ! What a vibrant lady and her place is a reflection of just that : being and expressing the love of vibrant colors, magical and unusual piece such as the "ball" lamp and the deer, for example. Everywhere your eyes go in her place there is something interesting to look at. Again, very interesting and a breath of fresh air ! Thank you for the visit , à bientôt (( hugs )) -Rosalind -
Rosalind Hambleton Thank YOU Rosalind for your viewership and always on point comments! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
While you two were going on about the black deer I was noticing the beautiful globe lamp to the left. I was so thankful you finally made your way over to it. Also, I would not have thought about wallpapering a lamp. What a great idea. What a delightful tour.
Great DIY for sure!! 🙏
Rebekka Dodge So glad you enjoyed and found some practical inspiration!
That jacquard skirt 😻
Lovely...I want more of her home!
Quintessence brings me back to my happy place...
KWR 28 Thank you - so happy to hear that!
One of the most simple, pleasant and relaxed interiors of the series.
Her vibrant outfit is everything..she mixes colors the way my favorite fashion vlogger Karenbritchick does🙏💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕🤘loved her home decor and energy.
Fawn has a great sense of color and love of fashion!! So glad you enjoyed!
So Awesome that you responded.....greetings from Saratoga Springs NY🙏💕🤘
Agreed!
I really love these videos. I think they are my most watched on RUclips! Thank you!
Thank YOU for watching!!
@@susannasalk7153 and, I know this is off topic, but nice sweater!
Thanks so much!!
Thank you so much for the wonderful tour of this magical brownstone. I just love the idea of the wallpaper lampshade when you just can’t commit. Susanna, it was truly generous of you to help another artist. The bird who can replicate a fire alarm sound is surely a New York bird. Love the home. Thank you.❤️❤️
So glad you enjoyed!! Fawn has so many great ideas!! - Stacey (behind the camera)
You are the best. Thank you
Azza عزة 👍🏻🙏🏻
A moment of sanity in a time of lunacy.
🙏🏻🙏🏻
I knew before you entered l would love this house. The cute dog and parrot were a bonus.
Thank you. X
Thanks Kate - so glad you loved too!
I need magical rooms! Quarantine has shown my calm, transitional rooms to be a tad boring. A little disco wallpaper and updated lamp shades are just the ticket. Fawn's dress is also magical . Love it 😍 Another 'home run' Susanna, thank you.
Couldn't agree more!! And thank you - so glad you enjoyed! - Stacey (behind the camera)
Ok, this is the second time I am commenting on this episode. I just watched it again (because I LOVE IT) and wondered if anyone else noticed the banister in the very beginning is painted fuchsia! Her pops of color without getting too busy is wonderful.
Thank you Lisa! So glad you loved and yes, loved Fawn’s fearless infusion of color!
yep! i've had a white leather sofa for years. best purchase ever.
Faith Nelson 👍🏻👍🏻
Love Fawns originality and Susanna's hair looks good pulled back!
Gina Friend Agree on both!
Her use of chartreuse is wonderful and I love her reflective services.
Fantastic design! The mint green room is my favourite!
Fawn Galli - you had me at those pink stair railings! While not my personal aesthetic (because I could never pull it off) I love and appreciate yours so very much. Fawn has excellent taste and certainly knows how to bring things together IMHO! I love the Chinoiserie paper on the lamp shade, the greek key pattern silver wallpaper, the white leather tufted chesterfield sofas. She is right...not hippie, but fun with sophistication - Fortuny fabrics, beautiful paneled walls... I'll have to watch it again and again! BTW my husband loves the volume - he was having difficulty hearing over the bird - and what a great story! Selfishly I tell my daughter (who is double majoring in English Literature and Economics, minoring in business AND is a talented artist - is persuing a career in publishing) to "Try to work at Rizzoli! " Alas, she is interning at Random House and does not want to edit design books! I collect them and cannot wait to purchase this one. I've been drooling over Tara Shaw's Soul of the Home! I hope you visit her in NOLA.
Eileen Barlow Well thank you so much!! So glad you enjoyed visiting Fawn and good luck to your daughter - I’m a Simon & Schuster alum! - Stacey (behind the camera)
Pito’s moment was hilarious!!!
“Wait, where’s Pito?”
LOL :-)
Love dogs
Wow so gorgeous and lovely ,I loved it,thanks for sharing your beautiful video 💕🦋God bless and peace grace 🙏🌸
SUSANNA , i love love love your clothing choice for this episode. It is so true bohem avante garde mixed with a one of a kind gallery kimono/ jacket. The tee really makes it with your hair in the neat bun at nape. Thank you for showcasing this home, and your pieces you chose to discuss were eye- catching. Thank you darling and please if you could do a longer interview that would be delightful. Have the best summer yet.
Thank you for your kind words! I’m so glad you loved the tour and my outfit!! And stay tuned. Next month we go to Tangier and it is a longer video🙏
@@susannasalk7153 sounds dreamy Susanna.
Such a lovely home 🏠 I love glam bohemian chic 💚
I do too, but it requires a real gift to pull it off the way she has! Kuddos to Galli! I can only appreciate her talent.
Fawn Galli's home is like a delightful Wendy House combined with a jewelry box, very interesting, playful, and yet unaffected and easy on the eyes ! Delightful just delightful!
So glad you enjoyed!
Love the flower choice of marigolds with gomp !
Me tooooo!
me too - or three since I see Susanna also chimed in!
So do I!
I'm so glad you mentioned that because I forgot to and I loved them - but silly me, I thought they were ranoculus or something. I'll have to watch again!
At this point, I just click the like button before I even start the video.
Just did exactly the same.
dhgemein2 Thank you!!

Suzanne is always so grateful so tactful so kind to the hosts. Thank you
lana o She is indeed!
I adore the 'At Home' video series. I bought the delicious 'At home in the English Countryside' book recently. Absolutely lovely.
Daniel Brian Thanks so much. Hope you enjoy the book!
Thank you!!!!!!
Susanna - I am a huge fan of your series. I have sent it to all my design friends who appreciate good taste. From the watercolor intro, to your choice of wardrobe, to the tour selections ~ you are tops! I have to know where the sweater/kimono is from? Designer? The color and design has inspired me all day I had to come back on to write and see it again! Eager to see more and more ~Bravo!
Thank you so much dear Gina! The sweater is from Anthropologie last year and believe you me if they had made one in every color I would’ve bought it!
I luv this show. Luv the white and yellow sweater. Bird in a cage very sad.
No, the bird is in cage and someone unfamiliar with the bird has arrived. Alot of very immature and judgmental comments on this thread. Please.🙄
I agree with you Ruthie! It’s just unnecessary
@@bluewaterpines8323 thank you for that information. The only way I would have known that is if some told me. Thank you for not judging me. 😄
Thank you!!
Thank you!!
Beautiful! Please don’t ever stop making these visits. I’m addicted!!!
We won't! And a healthy addiction! ;-)
Inspired once again !!
Pdunzelman So glad! Thank you!

Raymond F Thank you SO much Raymond!! And yes, Fawn is amazing!
🙏🙏🙏🙏
So true Raymond F!
Finally someone with personality, style, and fantastic use of color!
Is her home bigger than what we saw, because I want to see more!!
Yes, there was more but these were the main rooms. We snuck in just before she was moving so perhaps we'll get to film the new one as well. If you love color and personality, be sure to watch our videos with Beats Heuman and Kate Brodsky among others.
I love the idea of wallpaper on a lampshade!
Wonderful, but too short :(
Yes such a tease I want to see it all 😒
Yes, I would have loved to see more of her home!
Beautiful & comfortable and honest!
Wow!! I really love her style! This home is so beautiful and joyful. I would have loved to see the rest of her house.
That was fun! And my eye was totally entertained. That is a good thing.

kate forsyth Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed and more coming!
I watch your videos on lowest speed and often pause the videos to admire the beauty. Thank you!
Delighted to hear it! So glad you enjoy!
Beautiful! So inspirational! I love the fabrics and finishes. Genius mix of colors and textures. I always appreciate that Susanna doesn't try to upstate the featured designers outfit but in this case I am obsessed with that sweater and those boots. So fun! These videos always make my day!
Thank you for your kind words!!!!!
Joel Baird Thank you!! So glad you enjoy and lucky to have Susanna as host!
I meant the painting on top of those beautiful stairs not the powder room with the blue wall paper,,,
Pitó is like, “oh fack, another tour...I’m out”.
Fabulous! Just what the Dr. ordered! A well done collection to explore. Thank you.
So happy to see a new video from you. Great townhouse too
Thank you and it is! Stay tuned! More coming this weekend!
There is a lovely playfulness about this home. That white leather sofa is gorgeous. I love the fact the designer has a parrot in a beautiful cage in her living room. That is so adorable.
Gorgeous house, inspiring and uplifting. The colours zing but she keeps it light and airy, and there are things everywhere that make me smile. Thank you for sharing.
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed!
Very very elegant! I love the colors and the curtains! Hallo from Italy!
graziella vendramin Ciao and thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
I love quintessence. I'm worried about how long will it be on You Tube 😢. The house is beautiful, congrats! I love animals and I wish that when there are caged animals or any other 'not natural way of living' where animals are kept, Sussane could ask if these animals are usually free-cage living in a daily base. Animals might add a pretty element in the whole deco but is cruel to think that animals are like a coffee table or one more ornament. I saw here in Quintessence, other designer with a bird in a cage too.
For a fantastical decor it is very well done.
Teaching us how to live with color, patterns, and textures!
More Quintessence uploads...please?
JayJay Tailor more coming! Stay tuned!
beautiful combination of modern and traditional ! I adore the fabric combination on the chairs. Susanne, I love your sweater. ( side note, what a irresponsible reason to buy a bird!!)
So glad you enjoyed. And she didn't buy the bird - it was a gift.
@@quintessenceblg I didn't mean her buying the bird, I meant the artist. ( Sorry for not making that distinction.)
@@debradanforth3267 right, agreed. So glad she rescued it.
Astonishing! Ordered your book. Such a good retrieve from all beige and gray styles.
👏🏻👏🏻
Totally agree, and can't wait to have the book.
Yes I ordered as well, I want to see more of this lovely ladies designs!
The one good thing to come out of this awful period of social distancing is discovering this channel. My only gripe is that they don't post a new video often enough. Though that's really a compliment, not a gripe. It's just so hard to find anything like the style of home one encounters in these videos. They're all so different but all are layered; homes that have been wonderfully curated over years. I've tried searching 'collector's home' or 'curated interiors' or 'layered interiors' it just doesn't lead to discovering another channel whose featured homes I love as much as this one. Maybe what they have in common is Susanna and Stacey's eye for identifying great homes. Can't replicate that, but if anyone has a 'if you like Quintessence, you'll love this..' list please share.
We’re so happy you love the series and we release once a month so please stay tuned and will try to deliver as many more as we can
Gwen Ngwenya Well thank you Gwen!! So glad our choices resonate with you as well! 🙏🏻
Surrealism of nature. Lovely. Glad to see colors and movement.

Loved the bed❤️
Love the bird....I was gifted a sun conure 13 years ago❤️❤️❤️
It feels like they're shouting throughout. Is that about being American, or is it the acoustics, or...? I have to watch with the sound down. Love the home though.
It's probably that your computer is on too loud a setting.
No, they are shouting. It's really annoying and offputting.
But, well... they're not british ^^
They ARE shouting
I'm USA and they don't seem as if they're shouting to me but they do seem aware that they're presenting. When we take presenting classes, we're always taught 'speak up". So they're speaking up as taught. I'm sure they don't talk like that over tea, definitely no one is speaking up at breakfast.
@@quintessenceblg no... I know where my computer volume setting is, thanks. I think it's probably the acoustics. Though maybe the volume just goes way up when you're both talking over one another.
