      Thank you so much Brett, it has been so much fun building these TRX4m's
      Finally getting my hands on a Ford f150 trx4m
      I am definitely late to the game as they've only just become available in Portugal.
      But at least I've still got one more to do a custom build on!
      I really appreciate the visit and the comment! 🤜💥🤛

    That defender is definitely coming together really nicely!! I have really enjoyed watching the whole world series on the bronco defender and k10
    I thought your bronco and defender already looked awesome and now they look even better! Keep up the great content I'm really enjoying it.

      Hello Sophie and thank you so much once again for the outstanding comment!!
      I really appreciate it and I'm glad you liked the upgrade series on the trx4m rigs!
      It's been a lot of fun and there there are still going to be quite a few bills coming!
      But soon I want to get back to the 110 scale rigs.
      Thank you so much once again Sophie really appreciate your support.

    Hey man! Really great video! I also have the mudflaps on my truck, but i have 62mm tires so they rub into them a lot. I got a have ordered a set of the tires you have which i think will be better. And don't worry about not being able to make as many videos!😁

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  5 месяцев назад +2

      Hi bro and thank you so much for the awesome comment! Yeah the 62 mm tires are just a bit too big for the defender body, the Bronco can run to 62 mm tires because it's got bigger wheel arches.
      These are definitely the biggest tires I would run on the defender which is 58 mm.
      I am busy working on a few more custom parts on the defender, and I will take it out for a run today so you can see how it behaves with the tires, which I still haven't run since I fitted them.
      Just trying to catch up with a few things and then hopefully I will be able to dedicate my time to produce a few more videos.
      I've got so many cool projects that are coming, and I would really like to finish off my backyard course.
      I really appreciate you watching and commenting bro. 🤜💥🤛

    I like how the Defender has become most peoples scale truck. I consider mine to be my tow vehicle and wired up a full light set and added a plug for trailer lights. I like those mudflaps a lot. And the exhaust is pretty sweet looking, maybe another system will become available. I cut my winch off because it was fake and need a grille at some point.

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  5 месяцев назад +1

      Definitely the defender is probably the most common trail truck, but I have kept all mine very realistic.
      My Bronco and my K10 is also a scale build.
      I really love a capable rig but I still prefer a scale truck to something that can climb like a spider! 😅
      I wanted to cut my winch off but I then thought I might as well look online if not I will design my own grill and 3D print it! But I found that one on AliExpress and I definitely recommend it.
      Thank you so much for watching bro and I really appreciate the comment.

    Just a note: if you are going away from rock crawling and leaning towards trail-driving you are better off not adding more weight down low. More unsprung weight will make the car more bouncy as opposed to adding more sprung weight which would make it utilize the suspension better. Unsprung weight will get you further from a scale look while driving.

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  5 месяцев назад +3

      Dude thanks for the visit, and comment! but, the body almost weighs as much as the chassis now, and once I put the rest on it! its definitely going to need some more weight download to keep the vehicle from rolling all the time.
      I have been building Trail rigs for more than 15 years! I might be new to the small scale rigs!! Which I have only been working on for the last 4 years! I think I know how to keep the balance! To get the performance and realistic look when I'm filming 😉

      @@rcfungamesFor sure! Wasnt meant as a sly comment or anything so sorry if i came of as a knowitall 😅 I only reacted because i hear ”LCG” all the time which (as you now then) is pretty detrimental to the scale look that these crawlers give! All well meant, sorry if it came across as anything else!
      By the way it’s an absolute looker of a car! Have you backed the body with black or something? Paint looks so good

    Simple but solid upgrades 👍 I also found out that some of the upgrades make it impossible to work with those bottom frame clips something I didn’t even think about.

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you bro I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I was definitely disappointed with the design of the exhaust, one it sits too low, second of all designing a box that completely conceals the real clip, is just stupid!!
      I have seen another one that the box is completely made from stainless steel and the exhaust pipes and it has an opening around the back, which is okay but it's still going to make it difficult as your fingers going to have to go over the axle to reach the clip.
      Why not just make some exhaust pipes that bolt on the side the same place as the mud flaps

  • @ste.p
    @ste.p 5 месяцев назад +1

    Great video as always. I fitted Meus mud flaps which look better as the Land Rover logo is in white. I agree about 3d stuff, those exhausts sat differently depending on side. I’ve been a UK car expert in a former job, those exhausts sitting wrong made me shudder. I know it’s all scale, but if you’ve gonna try scale, get it right. Those 3D printers did not

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you bro, I'm glad you still enjoyed it.
      I really like the mud flaps even if the letters aren't White, which wasn't difficult to paint them anyway.
      Now some of these accessories are really not well thought out! And the fact that they designed these things without even looking at the real thing, is beyond me!
      When I get a chance to go and do some shopping I will find some brake pipes and make my own.
      At least it all adds to the scale look even if it's not perfect!
      I also want to say thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
      Hope you have a good weekend!

    Again - what a cool video! So inspiring. I found myself bending the attachments for the front flaps in such a way, that the 1.0“plus tires still don’t scratch on these parts even when fully steered to the maximum. Very interesting. 👌🏼☺️ If you like, I can send you some pictures.
    But I have two questions for you:
    1) Which item did you buy concerning the inner fenders?
    2) Do you have any suggestions concerning a good 3S Lipo battery which also runs well with the new Injora Viper Brushless system? 🙏🏼☺️ Thanks so much and take care! Many greetings from Germany!

      Regarding your questions the independence I got them from Amazon.
      I believe I did put a link in the description of the video.
      So just check if you can find it if not I will share it to you.
      When it comes to a 3s battery I got one from my local hobby store.
      I haven't ordered any yet but quite a few people have been saying Spectrum make some really nice 3s batteries that fit.
      I will share a picture of the battery through Facebook.

      But they are still not available in Portugal, I have only just got my hands on the Ford F-150 trx4m
      When they are available I probably will purchase one and do a series on it as well.
      For now I am going to be doing quite a few different builds until it's available.

    Have you tried to put 62mm tires on the Defender? Om my Defender with LCG chassis, 62mm tires cause rubbing all the time. With injora universal chassis it’s much better, because the body sits much higher, but the center of gravity becomes too high. What do you think?

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, in the beginning I tried putting 62 mm tires but they are just too big for the design of the defender body, yes the design from the
      Universal lcg chassis, it makes the body sit very high.
      I found that running 58 mm tires is the perfect size for the defender, I run 53 mm shocks, on the original lcg carbon fiber chassis, with the injora aluminum bumpers, which allows for perfect articulation and a good center of gravity.
      I honestly recommend for you to watch the Traxxas trx4 m Defender playlist, to see what I have done with mine from the beginning.
      You will notice I tried various different things but ended up going back to this setup because it works best for the defender.
      I'm working on another video today and I will mention this in the video.
      Hopefully talking about how I've got it set up will help you.
      Thank you very much for watching and commenting bro. 🤜💥🤛

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  27 дней назад +2

      Yeah tell me about it bro!!
      I got rid of the original grill in the front because of the upgrade bumper it was impossible to get it on and off!
      And once I change that I then went and fitted this exhaust making it difficult to get to the back clip!!
      If you watch the video carefully I do mention I broke a piece of the exhaust panel on the back out so that I could stick my finger up there to reach the clip!
      But no matter what it is like a juggling act to get it off!!!!
      I don't understand why people design things like this!!
      I definitely don't recommend the exhaust accessory!

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  5 месяцев назад +2

      I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to, but if you are referring to the cables from the hood to the roof rack, they are made from some cable litters for fishing!
      You can choose from multiple colors and you can just cut to size, if you look carefully in the fishing store you will find everything you need to cut and crimp them 😉
      And if you are referring do the scale ropes on the side of the roof rack, those are DIY made.
