Thank you for this very nice approach! 😊 What is the piano sound you are using for this demonstration? sk grand piano soft - Hall?

So, modernize is just adding pads and simplifying chords?

Well, Modernize typically involves adding several other instruments like bass, drums, 1 or more electric guitars and other rhythm instruments like acoustic guitars and percussion instruments. Because of this, a piano player (who traditionally would cover as much sonic space as possible) should definitely simplify what they are doing and be a lot more intentional about filling a specific need in a band both in sonic space as well as rhythm.

@@Bobby_Sanford ok then, same thing, simplifying and adding pads, so the other 10 musicians simplify too, playing one note and 10 effects. Got it (and im not counting ableton in the background and Karen telling tyou "chorus", "verse" and stuff)

@@jesuszayas7 click track or no click track, doesn’t make a difference. Every musician in a band setting must be intentional about their parts and not overplay. Any high end musician or professionals musician will tell you that. Not sure what you mean by 1 note and 10 effects. But a good chord voicing and a simple lead line like she showed here is a great way to make your part add to the mix.

@@Bobby_Sanford Agree in the “not overplay” but cmon, stop calling it “modern” just because you add pads and a “worship tone”. I’ve been playing for over 20 years, I even use Sunday Keys app when I play piano!! But this trend to “modernize” things is destroying the music and making lazy musicians. And also, destroying the intention behind the songs and making them just “ambience” to feel good, instead of worship and praise.
