Honestly, as an American that has painted a lot of white fences I like the black fence better. Whatever you do don’t start painting it because then it always looks like it needs to be painted. The black fence will weather better.
Love watching you guys. You are so kind and caring. I am a horse person and love seeing all your different experiences with your horses. Really enjoy watching you redo your property. Keep it up. 76 year old Grandmom from Pennsylvania.
Your property is just stunning and you both have worked hard to make it your own! I can’t wait for another tour as you continue to implement your vision!
Gorgeous and blends into the landscape with classic understatement. A whisper of elegance rather than a shout. The black is stunning. White would have looked common and loud. Congrats you guys. And thanks for sharing. One day my place ..well, that will be awhile. In the meantime I can enjoy yours☺️
Please update us on the movie or show Jesse; I know you’ll get the part, and, all your fans will flock to see you!! I’m always telling my husband your face should be all over the big screen!!
Gorgeous! Black fencing always looks so crisp & clean - elegant. Maybe when you move their water stations, put a mix of semi-fine & corse sand to create white Sand Pits for them to roll & scratch their backs... like at the Countesse's stables! All horses need a designated Sand Pit! Otherwise they will just dig their own & then it becomes a muddy mess. Just a thought.
2 handsome men and pleasant personality. Who are the mothers or fathers. As a 70yo I find it wonderful to watch hou both. Reminds how beautiful I was. Life is better with emotional intelligence, honesty n love. I wish you both the best of your past is the worst of your future together. Xxx
I just love Jesse!! That fence design brought back memories of my grandparents fence in the 1970's in Illinois, USA, it was the same style. U 2 R so funny doing these together, thanks for sharing your life with me.
The fence is beautiful and looks stained not painted so keep it stainted. It will last so much longer especially if oil stained. Don't know how the neighborhood feel about your home inprovements but i love them. Thats for all the videos, keep them coming please.
Omg, I love, love, LOVE your new fencing!!! Matt and Jesse, maybe you could hire someone local (maybe a teenager looking to earn some extra cash) to come once a month, to clean your fencing. Seems like Jesse has enough to do already, doesn't it??? Jesse looks like he has grown or something, he looks more mature, taller, and more sophisticated. Love his beautiful blonde hair style/cut. Looks awesome!
Not sure if others have had the three electric fence lines. My horse layed down next to fence and got leg under low wire. We tried to save her but the electricity did too much damage since she could not get away from the fence. So, bottom electric fences are a no go for me. Never thought she would roll that close to the fence and get her leg hooked under the wire.
After having one plain wire at chest height on the inside of a 5ft stone wall..my horse got his fly rug buckle caught on it and pulled the post out of the ground 🥺 somehow got his leg caught in it and after 5wks of box rest and huge support dressings we’ve managed to save him. He severed the blood vessels just below the hock, it’s been so traumatic. So for me I would never have plain wire in front of a fence. Great post and rail fencing though and love the videos you guys are always thinking how to better life for your beautiful horses 💞
Spot-on with the new fence. It looks great and classes up the overall appearance of the landscape. Great decision! Hope you guys are pleased. What's a little bird poop? It will give it a patina. I love how enthused Matt gets about these sorts of things.
Yes!!! So many people forget to create shade for their horses. You just have to build a square fence around a new tree for first 5 years, to prevent horses from trying to scratch themselves on it. If you don't, they'll knock it over in first week. PS: New trees do need water for 1st 2 yrs., esp. in summer/ or drought times.
Black is very classy!!! Its the color choice for the Kentucky racing world too! White looks good on a beach setting but green pasture and trees black is definitely thee color choice. Beautiful!!
I love the fencing and black is a great color. Not many farms in America is White. In the racing world, it's either natural or black. I love your idea's.
I agree! I was going to comment that we live in N. GA USA and all the equestrian areas and farms are going with the black fencing these days. Before that it was natural - almost never did you see white.
Matt: Your shoulders are developing and the drape of your polo shirt is so much better than the pull-over in your last video. Black and navy are such excellent colors for you. I do like your fencing. Using the old posts as you have is brilliant. The dark color on the fence is classic! Looking forward to seeing your new horses that you are working with. Jesse so good to see you also.
The fence is absolutely beautiful. Only question. Is it high enough so they don't jump it. I love what you have done with the property it is beautiful and homey. LOVE IT!!!!!!. Go for it Jesse you will be amazing.
They don’t really have any horses that like to jump of their own free will. Antares is a Spanish type so not built for it really, we all know how amazing chase is at jumping 😂😂 Andorra is a little smaller and older and bear and macho are way to tiny.
The brown fence looks better, we see quite a few brown wood painted fences in my area it just sits down into the landscape better. What surprises me is the short fence 😂 my horses would be over in a heartbeat, electrics be dashed. They’re oldies and lame too! yeah, good old Wile E CoyotE as i nick named him, fences are not a deterant only a cute thought, because THAT grass is greener! 🐴 (32 yr old horse for the world cup) i liked the cross pieces how they are pressed against each other, that will add a lot of tension to keep the fence tight. If it was just horizontal rungs those can loosen as horses scratch on them or frost heaves the posts, so this x design adds tons of dynamic tension to keep the fence tight and new looking for longer.
Beautiful job just outstanding what you have done to this property and the home it’s gorgeous so much thought goes into everything you do I just enjoy so much watching your progress
I’m not sure about that. It’s got pointy caps on the posts, which are rather low. A horse could try jumping it, or be goofing around, and get impaled or scraped. Or a catch a leg in the cross braces. It’s probably not going to happen but I wouldn’t call this a particularly horse safe fence.
Congratulations guys , I like your style . To have accomplished so much at your age is commendable , you show maturity way beyond your years . Love that you are so into your garden as well as your animals , you are one dynamic duo . Matt your horses are exquisite and you have turned me on to the majesty of these Spanish dancers . I'm glad I found your site , just surfing on the web , some of those stables are beyond . You ride beautifully and I wish you much success . We are kindred spirits . I'll keep watching 👀
I love the dark color! I think white fencing too often looks as if it's pvc/plastic which is popular in the US as regular home fencing (Especially if the poles are thicker, as that seems to be required for stability with PVC). I also love the design (particularly the top finial-type piece on the vertical poles), which is cozy in the best sense of the word, but not so busy as to look inelegant. Great choices!
The new fencing is beautiful!brings the whole place together.I love watching you two.Thank you so much for sharing your life an the love of horse. You can tell you really care
LOL yep, We live in NW Indiana and had a white wooden fence around our yard. While in Kentucky we fell in love with all the black fences in horse country. So painted our yard fence black, looks great with the white house and black trim. We have the same problem, pretty black fence with white bird poop all over it
Hi guys, love the new fencing. Maybe one more line of electric wire running over the top of it all, hugging the wood, so the birds won’t sit on the fence.
I like how sturdy the fence seems as well as beautiful. Love the banter in this...Matt so intense waiting for Jesse to finish...horses looking chill. A garden tour is in order too please!!!
I think it's gorgeous! And having that center pathway will make it much safer for moving the horses around. You'll be able to retrieve single horses from a field without potentially bringing them through other groups of horses. Dividing the fields this way also gives you the option of putting a horse being rested like Sureño away from the others so they don't get stirred up and can stay quiet like they're supposed to while still getting turnout time. 😉
Kentucky used to have white fences. But when we visited in 2004, the fences were all dark. We were told that the white fences were toxic, so they switched to a less toxic finish, and now they would match your new fence, color-wise.
The white would have been too much of a contrast; Really loved it! I was stunned at what good shape your old fence was in when they pulled it out and that is just brilliant moving it to the pastures! You guys are going to be the trendsetters in your area! It will be interesting to see how quickly that type of fencing starts popping up around the area. Way to go guys! I enjoyed seeing Jesse on the other side of the camera. You two make the most stunning couple ❣️
♡ Thoroughly enjoyed another satisfying video! Great music beds and vibe. Gorgeous garden and the fencing beautifully sets everything off. Maybe wait until next summer (Matt: what is "wait"??), on the possible middle of pasture fence, or try with tape first to be sure before its permanent. Exciting to hear Jesse's going for some casting, you should! 💞 12:40 - group Hugs! Its been such a great pleasure to follow these years, you've blessed me so much. Thank you both! Excited as the future is bright and best is yet to come! 🥰🥰🙏❣❣❣
Suzanne I was thinking the same thing standing next to matt I'm sure Jesse has grown a couple of inches. Love all the work the guys have done it's really coming together now.
The fence looks amazing! It wouldn't have been high enough for the horses I had in the past.. I needed a minimum of 1.60m high to keep my 1.83m English thoroughbred in the fields.. I've seen that horse clear fences and ditches in truly insane jumps that would make my hart skip a few beats 😅.. But you know your horses the best and lots of horses respect fencing no matter how high or low they are! I'm curious about how Jesse wants to do the fields and what his ideas behind that are
Yes the audio works well now! I can hear through both sides thanks a lot! This aside, loved the fencing so much!! It really reminds me of classic horse movies if it makes sense? This is a dream fence for horse owners please
Matt so glad to see you and Jesser and the horses are safe.. I'm in NZ so I'm not sure but I thought there was wild storms / flooding. Hopefully you guys are well away from it. Oh and Love the fencing, gorgeous and safe.
Knew this I had a gutt feeling Jesse would make a great actor he has beautiful Angelic face 😍 I wish you all the best Jesse 🙋🏻♀️ and oh yeh Matt wonderful pointy posts on your wonderful fence 😄😄
Wow, against the backdrop of the stables being that colour, it really looks amazing. Really expensive and solid. Really defines the space of garden and pasture. 👌
I LOVE, how the black, isn’t just black. It’s different variations of black and grays. Like the X part of the fencing, it’s 2 different grays/blacks. Easy to see at 12:37
Sound is good! HOLY COW that fence is GORGEOUS!! It's honestly so nice, I think it would take away from the aesthetic if you were to do the entire field in it. The yard looks amazing, guys.

Never thought I'd be so hyped about a fence but here we are...
I know, does that make us sad muppets 🤷♀️😂
Hahah same!

Jesse: "you have many ideas but this one I actually liked from the very beginning" LOL I love him so much
They compliment each other nicely!!
Jesse was so sassy in this video, I loved it😂😍
He makes every video better❤️

Yes. White fences easily show that green algae stuff that always makes them look dirty.
@@mirkatu3249 Ugh. Right?
Hopefully it's a black stain, rather than a paint.
Matt must have been terrified for his grass when they came with all that heavy machinery
What heavy machinery? You mean that tiny forklift😂Two horses are heavier than that😂✌️
@@lorellabanozzitubic3701 the big car with the wagon after it, don’t know what it’s called, and the wheels ruins grass and soft ground🤠

Lovely addition to a truly beautiful property! Nice choice!
Jesse should give us a new property review. Looks like u have added many new flowers and shrubs.

"Guano" is the handy, inoffensive sounding, "fertilizer" version.
