How to clear engine codes with Ancel AD310 (Worked for inspection in TX)

Quick tutorial on how to clear trouble codes with Ancel AD310 OBD II & EOBD Code Reader. This may not work to pass an inspection for you. It worked for my friend right after this video and for my dad, but I can't say for sure this will work with your vehicle or in your state. This scanner will read your codes though and clear them.

Yes the scanner can erase the codes however, unless you repair the issue the code will come back after driving a bit. You will not pass smog in California by just erasing codes and going to smog check center. Unfortunately you must repair the problem in order to pass smog

Yes, erasing the code clearly doesn't fix the issue, but if you're just trying to pass an inspection and don't have the money for repairs this will work. Maybe not in CA, but this car passed in TX right after this video.

@@aguyfrommi I wish that was the case here. California is very very strict. Good video but just stating that clearing the codes may not work in some states. I actually just purchased this scanner just to check before I get my vehicle smogged.

Yea well I had the problem resolved & fixed and I’ve been twice to the mechanic because the light was on still. No clue if I was scammed or not but I’m not wasting any more money or time I’m getting this to clear my code for inspection only until I find a better mechanic
