It was absolutely hilarious from start to finish. Just absolutely incredibly funny. Funniest and absolutely right on Awards Host Ever!!! Ricky is one of the funniest men on the planet. Thank you Ms. Amanda. This was another great laugh. Have a spectacular week.
He is so brilliant!!! His big point about him being able to drink beer, and the audience isn't, was just priceless: "What are they gonna do!? Fire me on live tv!?" 🤣
Yeah, there’s a much, much better video than this one that has the monologue and everything else called “all his bits unchained”. I’ve seen a lot of reactors react to this version because it was first and has more views, so the assumption is it’s the best version. The only time reactors react to the better one is when ppl aren’t lazy and post the link for the superior one instead of just suggesting the video. I can understand why they don’t do the extra effort though. It takes a whole 30 seconds to open up YT in a browser, find the video, copy the link, and come back and paste it. Who has that kind of time?
Love love love Ricky Gervais. He is sooooo right in what he is telling that audience. Watched his After Life also several times. What a professional that man is ❤️❤️❤️
What is awesome is how Ricky's jokes show the real personalities of the "hollywood stars" some take the jokes about them, some take the general jokes, but it also shows some that think they are above everyone else. Re-watch!
Two Gervais shows spring to mind - An Idiot Abroad (where he makes an entire travel series sending his mate Karl Pilkington out to visit places and arranging for him to do things which are almost consistently stitch ups). Then there's Extras and the scene where David Bowie writes an impromptu song about him. All gold!
Best part has to be when he brought up sweatshops and slavery and the room got increasingly more quiet the more streaming companies he listed. They were all on board laughing of dead people but even they won't risk a paycheck.
To be fair I do not thing all his expressions were in regard to Ricky's comments he was just talking to someone across his table. Bit rude like he should have been listening.😂
Derek is my favourite I won't lie. Had me in stitches laughing, in tears, happy, angry, it was a very poetically written, emotional rollercoaster, just like Afterlife. I almost wish Ricky could meet his own character Derek... Kindness incarnate :)

You've seen the best of the Golden Globes. You aren't missing anything by not seeing anything else. My favorite Ricky Gervais movie is The Invention of Lying.
Amanda seems to have no "Filter" at all, which makes her a real gem. She is not afraid to laugh at some of the more outrageous things involving some of the most famous "Stars"......And that is what I love about her.
You're beautiful with beautiful eyes & I think we got a couple snorts out you🤣 His new special is great also his *(Ricky Gervais Show)* he had which is two friends is hilarious
Skip his first year hosting. He was new to it and did the usual jokes. The complimentary jokes like “How can you fit in that seat with talent as massive as yours is?” Stuff like that. But the second year he started treating them like impromptu roasts of the celebrities. And it’s been gold since then.
Mand, wonderful use of the word 'goolies' - kudos. Haven't heard that since being a kid, going to endeavour to use it more in everyday life. You are amazing BTW.

"Furball. She's old school." Jonathan Pryce , Leo diCaprio , Meryl Streep being a proper pro. Tim Cook of Apple looking like a rabbit in the headlights. All genius.
