After running this system for the last few weeks I felt like I wasn't getting enough out of the speakers. So, in addition to the poly fil batting Alpine supplies with this kit, I treated my soundbar with a couple sheets sound deadening material, closed cell foam rings around the back of the speakers, and stuffed more poly fil in the soundbar. This small investment paid off with huge rewards in much fuller sound.
I have the Alpine system and I just replaced the 3.5 inch mids with Kenwood Excelon huge improvement my system has never rattled before or after the upgrade
I appreciate your sharing a video regarding the installation of a Alpine SPV-65-JLT 6.5". To be clear, this will likely be my next upgrade. With this said, how well do you feel the factory 7" receiver can power these d Speakers? Is a aftermarket amp necessary, or simply an upgrade for later?
Awesome! I am wondering though, is an amp not needed for these? Also, I know some Jeeps come with an alpine system installed, was this just the stock factory system?
Nice work. I am concerned about the wires rattling on bumpy roads should I do this upgrade, You think it would be redundant to make some provision for securing the wires to avoid rattles?

What speakers would you recommend for a 2017 Jeep Sahara 4 door? I'm just ok with the factory but I bet I would listen to music more often if I had some better speakers. Thanks for posting and God Bless.
@@volunteeraudio It must be the base audio. I've been looking all over it and I don't see Alpine on it anywhere. It has a screen that comes out for loading CDs. I suspect it's just the base unit though.
The stock alpine system runs the speakers active meaning the 4” and 2.5” speakers are on seperate amplified channels and they have different built in crossovers. So these will not work with the stock alpine system.

@@catkidz8734 I saw another video where the guys recommends an Amp. Says will make a huge difference.
@@toolrammsteindeftones to add the amp you need that special harness/adaptor no? Unless you want to change to an aftermarket head unit.

With the poly fill added there should not be wiring rattles

Would you need an amp to get the most of those 6.5s?
An amp that is properly tuned, alpine uses 50 watts rms per speaker in their kit

You need to outline what has to happen for those of us who have the 8.4 Alpine / word is these will not work with that system
The stock alpine system runs the speakers active meaning the 4” and 2.5” speakers are on seperate amplified channels and they have different built in crossovers. So these will not work with the stock alpine system.
So the 21 alpine 8.4 is not compatible? Can you point us in the right direction for what we can upgrade with?
I also have a 21 with the alpine 8.4 and looking for more sound. Maxing volume out when the doors/roof off. Any one have any suggestions?

Kinda like Harley should do on a 50,000 dollar bike , is what you mean too!???🤑✌️❤️
This is for sure one of the worst factory systems, probably worse than stock Harley 😳
