I removed the spark plugs and disconnected the fuel injectors, and then cranked the engine for 10-15 seconds using the starter. This will allow the oil pump to begin drawing oil through the system without the engine running. Do this 3 to 4 times.

You can soak the lifters in oil. But in all honesty priming, it will be enough. The priming process pushes oil to all the right places. Be mindful to check oil levels after priming
