In the early shows they had to to it without any voice editing, but it was destroying their voices so they went to digitally pitch-shifting the vocals instead.
@@LaMortDeLaMusique it's crazy that the difference isn't really that noticeable in the show either. i think they gradually did it so people didn't catch on
I love how in one of his concert he played this song and literally NOBODY SING IT...Les literally stopped and just played DISSAPOINTED. This is a blast.
Primus, Ween, some of Rush... at Red Rocks? This is a legit dream concert for almost anyone from the 1980s and 1990s. Wow. So happy for everyone that got to go.
@@zwebb7327 its one of a very few songs that less doesn't play lead bass in primus. You gotta be otherworldly to share the stage with claypool. Have you heard the albums he did with buckethead? Amazing. I was just watching an early episode of south park, at the end credits there is a very slow version of the the theme, i wonder if thats the normal speed version of the demo he talks about.
@@aveb2641 yeah the Buckethead years were great. I got to see him play with les and a guy named Brain on drums (amazing drummer!). That's a great find btw I would love to hear the original song
In the Primus biography, Les Claypool mentions being nervous as hell during Woodstock 94 because he was playing with Sausage while Primus took a small hiatus, and he hadn't played Primus songs in several months. I'd say he nailed it though!
I personally love how ridiculous the first few seasons were. Also nostalgic, grew up watching them with my dad.. Me and my parents saw the movie one month after my 9th birthday. My mom was bugging about leaving. 😂
It’s amazing how much effort Les Claypool, Primus, and the cast of South Park put into the theme song. I bet most people who hear the South Park theme think that it sounds out of tune, and jankey. But they probably didn’t realize how much effort went into making this song sound so strange.
I was the same age as the boys when it first came out. South Park has given me some of the best memories and life lessons if I'm being honest. I'm so happy I snuck into the living room at 10pm that Wednesday night and saw Barbra Streisand the mega bitch on TV!
I remember the first episode and immediately recognizing Primus. I thought "dude, this sounds like Primus. DID THEY RIP THEM OFF?" and then realizing it was actually Primus at the end. Legendary.

I was embarrassingly far into this video before I remembered Primus did the SP theme song. I only read as far as "Primus ft. Trey Parker & Matt Stone" and thought "That's pretty random" and started watching.
Never knew he was playing a resonator on here until now. I love them myself. Have a Galveston. I love the subtle but obvious tin sound trouble with the rich full dreadnought sound they also provide at the same time. Easily my favorite acoustic that isn't a cut away jazz fusion.
This is so bitterweet. Like, I love it so much, but I was meant to be seeing Primus in the UK in 2 weeks but they've had to cancel the European tour. Hopefully another time.

Most of Rush considering that 1/3 of the band is dead so they can't really be there. This concert was definitely cool as fuck though.
