I can't believe I have to say this, but please don't try to call "Gianna's Mom." That phone number belongs to a member of our crew, please don't call her.
Anyways, it's insane how many views this has gotten in 2 weeks! We made this as our final for a school project and never thought it would catch this much attention. I know that it isn't perfect, horror is one of the hardest genre's to pull off and we were working with a student budget which is pretty much no budget. I know there's so much we could've done better, but at the end of the day this was a learning experience!
(Also, there aren't multiple Masked Men, it's just the one. And he isn't a real guy, more of a supernatural entity. I understand a lot of people want her to call the cops or something, but we didn't have the time or resources to bring in a police officer even though that was the original plan. Gianna just genuinely thinks she's being paranoid and is seeing things, and doesn't want anyone to think she's crazy. Like I said, we know there's more that could've been done to improve the story, but I think for our 2nd short film we did the best we could!)
Ngl I started to think this was like an allegory to some kind of psychosis or something before I read this comment.

The men weren’t real to anyone but her, as was shown by the uber driver not seeing the guy behind her. So she was trying to pretend she couldn’t see them either.

3:53 made me laugh so hard! I know it’s supposed to be scary but the way he just slowly backed out of sight was so funny to me for some reason! I can just imagine him going “oh, am I interrupting something? Sorry. Lemme just *creaky noises*” 😂

this is s joke right? she saw him out side her house was worried and then saw him in her house and didn't do a sweep of the the house???? and was like this is the perfect time to take a shower...??? wtf you wanna die? he was in your house! you had a ride to leave but didn't?? and ran back to the place you saw him in many times like he wasn't going to be there? just hop in the uber and leave! her acting wasn't even believable. the villain was great amazing even but omg her decisions didn't make sense and took me out of the fear of the horror film. this just fell short in my opinion.

I thought it was good. Yes, of course, some things logically don't make sense to us in a normal state, but if you think about how the character felt while she was in terror, maybe it can. She was always scared of seeing things outside that she shouldn't, and was scared the police would think she is crazy and seeing things, so when she DID - she took a shower to clear her mind. I'd also assume that her getting in the Uber really wouldn't have helped much because it seemed the villain is not just a random guy but some type of entity that is following her. So even if she's fleeing her apartment, the creature is still going to follow her (and personally I wouldn't want to have a freak out in the back of some random persons car). She also doesn't seem to know who she can trust so I'd say not jumping in a strangers car isn't a bad idea.
My assumption was she was crazy.
This was an excellent short horror flick! I like how the end leaves you hanging. One doesn't really know for sure if this is an actual person or if it's all in her mind. The acting was fantastic, the camera work, music, sound effects, etc. were all really well done. (I'm a musician, and the music/sound effects you used were gripping.) If you hadn't said it was a student work, I would have thought this film was made by young professionals. This is definitely worth my subscribing and seeing what else you have!
I thought this was so fun, i dont really understand the negative comments? for 12 minutes, you set up a great suspensful film, I just wish I could get all of the lore!

The way I saw this was that there was something weighing on her and she felt guilty and couldn't escape it. I'm sure there are a lot of ways to interpret it!

I really enjoyed this short horror, it is really captivating and gripped me from the start and left me wanting more. It's really good to see fantastic acting, interesting plot and the filming is great and whoever has edited and put together the whole thing has done brilliantly. Would love to see this on the big screens, with a longer and more in depth storyline. most of these short horrors are cheesy, over used plots, crappy filming and awful acting but I come across those few amazing ones like this and it makes it all worth while having to watch 10 crap ones before stumbling accross 1 that s good like this. Hope we will get so see more content from you guys :)
Awesome film. I wish I could make a short film like this. I seem to like to cover a lot in a film project down to the smallest of details and by doing so the story increase a lot.
You totally can! It's all about networking with the right people around you that are willing to help you out! We were able to rent out equipment from school too :)
@@paigebair4083 Networking isn't my issue. I know how to network and I already have camera and sound equipment. What I'm saying is how can you do a short film without going over board with the story here.
@@BlackCatFilmProductions I see what you're saying! When you're writing it's best to have a bit of a writers room, even if it's just a few other people to read over your script. Having extra input will help the story progress as it should :) World building and character building is great, but you also have to keep in mind how much the audience will be able to digest. It's good to have that balance !

I can tell there was more than 1 not sure why their following her but Gianna could've told her mom what was really going on! It's so terrifying to let 3 creepy people follow her while she's doing stuff.

I found it okay. But wierd that she decided to rush back inside her house rather than into the uber knowing that she'd been seeing some strange person in her house. Did she really think she'd be safer there? 🙄 Not realistic for me.

sorry, what? she sees a stranger IN HER HOUSE and she decides to go and take a shower...? then she sees him in the shower and she cracks her head againts some wall..? After that you'd think that she would call the pollice right? No, she decides to order an uber that she does not even get on. Gotta be honest with you the guy under the blanket made me laugh rather than get me scared. Overall, pretty dumb short film. definetely not worth 12 minutes of your time
