sup ya’ll. I want to give some context for this film lol. this was a 48hr short film contest so it was all shot in a day and i then had one day to edit😭 i’m not the best writer so i had to make some decisions quick (sorry about the lights). Thanks for all the love from those who can overlook the frustration lol. The next one will be much better stay tuned

As someone who experiences hallucinations on the daily, the thing peeking from behind the staircase is one of my most common experiences. Thanks for the reminder that it exists and will probably stare at me again tonight!
Girrrl get it together!!! 😫 The fact that you turned the lights off, had me in a chokehold....😳 even me as a viewer was creep the hell out! So turning off the lights is not an option for me. 😂 This short film was really good tho! 👏🏽 👏🏽
The part where she sees the girl peaking out from the top of the stairs freaked me! I had to cover my face for the rest of the movie. This movie scared me!
The horror elements are there, drawing you in. Super fantastic tension builds you love it. Until the end, where you find yourself saying why did she do that, that's dumb. Like those old horror movies where they go back into the murder house.
For those wondering why she was covering her eyes and turned off lights once: She’s trying to rationalize the situation by believing she forgot to close the door (though she did) and covering her eyes to reset her vision, believing the intruding doppelgänger is just a hallucination andwill disappear upon closing and reopening her eyes after a while
Omg I thought that I saw the dumbest that horror protagonists could offer but then this just had to pop up on my feed... Honestly, it's not even natural selection at this point as there is nothing natural about this level of stupid! Like holy hell WHO TURNS OFF THE LIGHTS????? Omfg I wish I could get a refund on my time...
Eso pensé yo. Pero que hace que no sale corriendo y más después de haber visto la puerta abierta?. Y encima de lo que ve en las escaleras,va y apaga la luz? . No lo entiendo, absurdo.
Really great film! I love the fact that it's silent and contains only a single (normal) character. Makes it a lot more creepier. It's not perfect, but still really well directed. Love the soundtrack too
I liked the video. Proof of that is that I liked it and subscribed to the channel. But at first I thought it was strange to just close the eyes instead of running away. But I like works that don't explain everything, that don't give everything away, so ok. I'll be guided by the title and understand that it has to do with the vision of someone who sees their double, their doppleganger. Waiting for the next videos. Congratulations on your versatility, screenwriter, director, actress... and pretty!
Hi! Me and my boyfriend often watch horror short films and we stumbled upon yours looking for a new one. It´s amazing, it makes you feel actually scared. I was surprised when I checked your chanel for more of them and found this is the only one you made. I´m excited to see any new work from you! PD: English isn´t my first language.
I got so scared and that's one of my fears and the fact that her first thought was oh I'm gonna turn off the light idk what she was thinking I would have ran out the house or something not turn off the light like damn. 😅 this scared me though I jumped at the end.
I would have screamed hard and then run away with my fullest speed from that hell!!! But anyways she's quite dumb and felt like screaming in her place. Her makeup and hairs are quite attractive tho! 😅
Creepy af! But honestly who turns the lights off after seeing something scary? I’d be out that door running down the street. P.S just read your comment about 48hrs and the lights, lol. Amazing effort, I look forward to what’s to come..
Hi there I really enjoy your way of making films and I am really impressed by the fact that you alone can still make such a well-made film. But I have a few small suggestions from a director's perspective. In the last scene, when the character sees a stranger on the stairs, she immediately turns off the lights and covers her eyes to try not to see the stranger. I think you should develop the character's psychology more completely in this part, for example, she tries to find a way to avoid the stranger in their pursuit, which will make your short film more complete. I wish you success in your future products.
Típico do clichê hollywoodiano em que a vítima se coloca como vítima propositalmente. Esses curtas seriam melhores se os atores tivessem reações mais convincentes com a realidade.
This was great, with little budget great suspense building, great use of sound, like the keyboard typing stopping to create tension which is pretty subtle and super creepy. The only bad thing is the writting, as in, the character really does react in unnatural and dumb ways. Like locking yourself in without checking the house, ignoring the threat instead of running. I get the moment of "can't believe my eyes *blink blink*" but after the second time I think protag should be trying to escape. It creates dissonance between the audience and the character, so you don't fear as much as you could with a character you fully identify with. I mean, the hallway shot is really tood tho, and I don't know how you could have done both that shot and a more natural reaction, maybe dumb characters are worth it lmao. But like this is better than 99% of the shit that's out there, and better that tons of horror shorts with ten times the budget, for real.
This had so much potential. but when a (short) horror film character is unrealistically stupid, it's hard to take it seriously. Anyway, it started really good.
That was great!! I’m a senior right now in high school and I’m doing a project where I’m making a film and there’s so much I gotta do that I didn’t realize I needed to do. But great job 👏
As someone who loves watching horror movies, allow me to offer some criticism: it’s really difficult to feel horrified if the main character acts so irrationally different from how you would in that same situation. Noone would turn off the light or cover their eyes if they saw this. Horror is so much more effective if you can put yourself into the shoes of the protagonist, who does everything right, but is still powerless to stop the horror, because that makes you feel like the same thing could happen to yourself (eg. the short movie Man on a Train)… On the plus side, I like the cinematography, the short film looks really nice 😊 Just try to tap a little bit more into psychological horror and you’ll be amazing 😊
Honestly, from a purely psychological perspective. No one really knows how they would react in such a situation. It is highly unlikely that we would ever experience something like this. We may like to think that we know how we would react , but it really comes down to our past trauma , our trauma response , our fight or flight, and our anxiety levels. No one person will react the same as another. Some people try to make themselves smaller or even invisible by closing their eyes, crouching down, curling up, and hiding under the covers. While others would make themselves larger than life. This is one of the best things about horror, what it evokes from you, and your response to it. Surely you can't put yourself in the shoes of every horror victim?
I know what you mean It didn't seem realistic ,take it from someone who has been in life or death situations, the terror is unimaginable All your courage dissipates, and you regress almost into a terrified child screaming and crying Nothing is scarier than reality
sup ya’ll. I thoroughly enjoyed the concept of this film. That being said. RUN GIRL RUN!

It was herself. A short film made by one person. Haha!

My wife literally just said the same thing 😅
At least she was honest enough to cover her eyes
I would've ran through the door like a cartoon character. Great film good 👍👍
Loved this! Been binging short horror on YT for almost a month now and this was the scariest one yet. Love that you don't even need dialogue.
The whole point of a horror film is to scare the life out of the viewers, and I believe she did just that. she delivered.
That was crazy the suspense was insane! And so realistic gg! 🎶
She is so pretty, and the film was well done.

I am a big fan of horror, my favourite part was the first shot of the eyes opening at the top of the stairs. I couldn't stop watching, nicely done.
