Two thumbs up from me!! When Isaac got close to that window, the power surge happened. When he met the woman in the dress(also in the window of the painting), she realized that if Isaac could see her, then he had been through the portal(window). And seeing it as a chance to leave that place, that she had been sucked into for (x) many years. So she asks him all the questions to find the portal way Out! Now Isaac is stuck in the “portal”
The actors were great but the realtor lady sold me- she’s exactly like every realtor I’ve ever encountered; I worked at a brokerage for years and she was spot on. Great work guys.
This is another haunted/supernaturally impaired house story, but the acting and the authenticity of the characters and their dialogs is what makes it so special.
The actors are really doing their best and it works. But, special shoutout to the actor playing the realtor. She made the perfect choice for her character and delivered.

This reminds me of an episode of beyond belief when a woman dreams about a house. She finds the real house for sale and when she meets the previous owners they claim they’ve been haunted by a ghost that looks just like her (astral projection or something?) either way this was an amazing short, the acting is very natural.
The Night Gallery episode "The House" was like that the lady who bought a house that she was dreaming about, turns out she was the one haunting the place.
Their reasoning and logic behind their actions and doing what they do, the conversations all feels very organic, like the realtor reaction to their story and how it peaked their interest. as someone who watched lots of horror movies I often ask myself "why!" why did they do this? why did the go down that path and said stuff they said and sometimes it hits me, many of those movies are just driving the conversation and the plot around a very short story, so it feels unnatural and dragged out. This is what makes short movies like this interesting. it tells you everything it needs to tell you in less than half an hour, so everything you see feels natural and part of a story, without any attempt to drag things to fill 90 minutes mark.
The idiot couldn't resist leaving the room after the woman disappeared, he stayed in the room and looked out the window. Now he's trapped in that house.
If you watch closely, he was taken to the other side the 1st time he went before the window. This allowed him to interact with the woman in white who then went to the window to leave. The house requires 1 soul to enter the window portal before he can leave now. Him going back to the window the 2nd time and being rejected by a barrier was confirmation that his soul is trapped. All the glowing comments are correct! This was engaging and interesting from the first minute to the last. Haunted house stories are my favorite and this delivered. Kudos to the makers 👏.
I have watched it and it sucked. I'm sorry but this is by far from being a masterpiece not even close. I've seen way more better short horror films then this.
This is impressive! So many horror movies go for high-intensity almost over-the-top acting and loud music to sell their scares; you've outshone them all with great low-key acting and very subtly slow-building music! The interaction felt natural and believable, all making for an incredible slow build of horror right up to the reveal! Hopefully the others are taking notes! Great work all around!
This is also the plot of an old horror film called The Nesting. A woman dreams about a house and then one day discovers it's real and buys it. If I remember right, the house turns out to have once been a brothel where people were massacred or something. I think she dreamed about it because she died there in a past life or something. It's been years since I've seen it.
Interesting movie with a twist (although approximately at 18:40 I already realized that if this lady in the white dress was gone, then the guy would appear instead of her in the painting). Much better than most short horrors
I love it!! It was so eerie! This could definitely be expanded to a full length film. I would love to know the history of the house. I don’t want to give spoilers but the concept is very intriguing!
Wow! I have so much to say about this, such a good video! It kept my attention all the way through. I have a soft spot in my heart for older buildings and I absolutely loved this house, especially the wraparound porch. All were great actors and the realtor was very likeable. The guy was really good (with a nice twist of humor). He reminded me a lot of a younger Steven Webber. Great film overall, really enjoyed this. 👍
I am not a fan of this type of horror, I prefer the more "biblical" stories with fallen angels but I've got to admit this one was good, real good. Good acting is a rare find in horror movies, let alone short ones. This film surely exceeded my expectations, thanks for sharing it on youtube.
Now that was a good one. The woman was obviously the lady in the window. Somehow she was released from the house, while Issac was kept prisoner. All it needed was one person. 😳😁
This was fantastic! I only wish it was longer :D The acting was really great, too. I'd also like to note the camera work. While it was simple, there were a couple stand out shots that really struck me. Just before Isaac goes upstairs, after he walks into the room. The camera focuses on him for a moment, then rotates like an oscillating fan. I love this shot. It's not overly used in cinema, but when it is used it's usually done well. This was no exception. The second is upstairs while looking down the hallway. The position on the camera is perfect so you just see enough into the room on each side to make your brain expect something. That shot alone creates tension. It's proof that simple doesn't mean bad and sometimes gives the best effect. I sincerely hope to see more from Chris Randall and crew. Thank you Red Tower for presenting this film!
I truly enjoyed this short film, Red Tower! As other commenters have said, it would have made a perfect Night Gallery episode, right down to the creepy abstract art painting. I especially liked the way that traffic was continually moving down the street in the background; it gave the scenes a realistic "not staged" touch and also emphasized the horror and tragedy that normal life - and possible help -- is so close to the house's captives, visible and audible to them but not accessible. That it all happens in peaceful, sunny daylight rather than on a dark and stormy night is great, too. Kudos to all who were involved with this project! (Already in my head I'm imagining a sequel in which the freed girl calms down, circles back, and tries to help the wife and the realtor destroy the house and free the husband. In my version, they hire the Ghostbusters, Buffy the vampire slayer, Mulder & Scully, Wednesday Addams, Clutch Cargo, and the Powerpuff girls to give them a hand. I would make a terrible screenwriter.)
You had me at Powerpuff Girls!!! Wouldn't that be amazing?! And to be considered in the Night Gallery space is just so cool! We've been discussing the future of Abandoned and what could happen and play out.
@@redtowerent LOL, the Powerpuff Girls would literally rock the house -- and provide your surprise twist ending, as they suddenly zoom down out of the sky with no warning and simply smash the house to bits. :D (Clutch Cargo made the list out of sheer randomness rather than any ability to help, unless he's willing to toss Spinner and Paddlefoot through the attic windows and superimpose his weird motion lips onto the mouth of the face in the painting.) I probably missed it somewhere, but who made the painting you used in the film? I think it worked really well in that it didn't show an expression on the face in the window, leaving viewers to just automatically assume that it was a hostile/evil/threatening being -- it's only at the end that we realized that that isn't the case at all. Now that I've discovered these short horror films, I'm looking forward to watching more of your movies!
@@rebeccataylor8981 the painting is the mystery! Where did it come from? There's a lot to unpack in that backstory. We love that you're watching and enjoying! We hope to share lots of fun and interesting new films.
Watching this was truly captivating, far surpassing any lengthy horror movie I've seen in theaters by a thousandfold. I can't wait to recommend this to all my friends .
Wow!! This was fantastic!! I was completely riveted the entire time...I couldn't believe how quickly 20+ minutes flew by. This would have totally held my attention at twice the length. This is my favourite type of horror film...something based in the supernatural with a great twist at the end. I thought I knew what the twist was going to be, and I was absolutely wrong, which I love. Way too often, I can guess the twist in a full length movie 5-10 minutes in. That's bad movie making...the twist should be a surprise, and it should leave us feeling disturbed and uneasy. The twist here accomplished all those things.
Terri! Wow, we love that you were so engaged with it. This short film was made for people like you and your love of this style of film. We greatly appreciate your comments! Keep ‘em coming!
This movie reeled me in within the first 60 seconds!! Loved the characters, the plot & the build-up.... The realtor was very likable and full of energy 😍🔥👍🏾👏🏾
Great ensemble, especially the actress playing the Realtor. She did her some serious homework on Realtors! Totally believable.❤ (Reminder to actors making the transition from stagw to film: less is more. Keep the physicality small. Camera picks up every dang thing).
The guy in this movie carries the weight of the film. The music substitutes for speaking to a great degree and to great effect. The guy was remarkably intuitive at all the right times. The tie in with the painting is where it becomes genius.
This is really an amazing movie. It should win some kind of award. It really gave me chills and goosebumps. I really don't get scare easily but this Short clip movie got me creep out and thinking. Well acting too!!. From his wife too. 👍👍 Great movie
No way. You never going to believe what im looking at? The House, the house on the painting. I knew it was it, i passed through it everyday but somehow , just to fit the narrative and very oddly if imay add. I only just now recognized it. Lmfao 😆
Let me tell you. I've watched so many of these horror shorts recently and the scene that solidified its greatness is the scene where they all meet in the driveway. That was the most natural exposition I've ever seen. The acting is superb and the reactions are so natural. I was worried that the ending was going to be cheesy or stupid but it was very unique. The ending scene was poorly executed in my opinion, would have been better if you showed the cops exploring the house to find him while she waited outside crying only for her to notice the painting had him instead of the girl, fade to black. But my god hope you have more content I can watch!
This has some very good real-life touch in it; people are moving and behaving like in real life (turning while speaking for example)! Very good, believable acting! One point of critic I have: the husband was written a bit too slow/hesitant; the character should have come back to normal speed at least when he followed the inhabitant in the room. Besides that: Great work of all involved! Thank you very much! 👍 👍
This is the second best short I've seen. Great story and acting. The ending was messed up but the wife can still help her husband out. She just had to lose somebody to that house then call thr construction crewto knock it down
Wow, this was different! A Twilight Zone meets haunted house tale. I liked it & it was amazingly-filmed!! Did you use an actual abandoned house or someone's (beautiful either way!) home?
The realtor woman says : There hasn't been anyone in here for quite a while I think. No one except the spirit.😂 What a great movie. Keeps you on the edge of your seat.
i love how this couldve been 5 minutes but ended up being dragged out to 23 minutes bc isaac took so long to say things like: "by the window"💀 but fr tho this was nicely put together and the suspense was deffinately here thx for this ❤

@@redtowerent LOL, the Powerpuff Girls would literally rock the house -- and provide your surprise twist ending, as they suddenly zoom down out of the sky with no warning and simply smash the house to bits. :D (Clutch Cargo made the list out of sheer randomness rather than any ability to help, unless he's willing to toss Spinner and Paddlefoot through the attic windows and superimpose his weird motion lips onto the mouth of the face in the painting.)
I probably missed it somewhere, but who made the painting you used in the film? I think it worked really well in that it didn't show an expression on the face in the window, leaving viewers to just automatically assume that it was a hostile/evil/threatening being -- it's only at the end that we realized that that isn't the case at all. Now that I've discovered these short horror films, I'm looking forward to watching more of your movies!
@@rebeccataylor8981 the painting is the mystery! Where did it come from? There's a lot to unpack in that backstory. We love that you're watching and enjoying! We hope to share lots of fun and interesting new films.
It’s also one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen hellofalot). The whole concept, the idea is horrifying. Thank you
Thank you for the amazing feedback!
All the actors did so well!loved the guy playing Issac!
Chris really did a great job in this. And we appreciate you watching! It makes our day.
@@redtowerent hope to see his and your work getting more recognition!all the best for the future✨

Super movie. Super creative. This is the best I watched after many years. This memory is going to last for years if not entire life time.
Thank you! We appreciate the positive feedback!
If no one had been in that house for 15 yrs, it would be like a time capsule with everything left there.
Great movie! I've never seen a supernatural house movie that was like this before. Thanks for the innovation!
Thank you for watching!!
I loved the classy story it's very rare you get a unique excellent film
Awesome!! Thank you for watching!!
This movie reeled me in within the first 60 seconds!! Loved the characters, the plot & the build-up....
The realtor was very likable and full of energy 😍🔥👍🏾👏🏾
Couldn't agree more!
Great ensemble, especially the actress playing the Realtor. She did her some serious homework on Realtors! Totally believable.❤
(Reminder to actors making the transition from stagw to film: less is more. Keep the physicality small. Camera picks up every dang thing).
Thank you, we appreciate you watching! Please subscribe for more from Red Tower!
seriously, the guy deserved to get trapped. General rule, a woman disappears in front of you, you RUN!
This is amazing. Simply amazing. One of the best things I have ever seen put to film. Thank you.
Whoa! That's an amazing compliment. We are humbled. Thank you for watching!
The refrigerator door closing at the beginning as they talk about the house nicely foreshadows later events.
The guy in this movie carries the weight of the film. The music substitutes for speaking to a great degree and to great effect. The guy was remarkably intuitive at all the right times. The tie in with the painting is where it becomes genius.
Greatly appreciate you saying that. Thank you!
Otra vez viendo uno de tus videos, maravilloso!!
Obrigado!
This is really an amazing movie. It should win some kind of award. It really gave me chills and goosebumps. I really don't get scare easily but this Short clip movie got me creep out and thinking. Well acting too!!. From his wife too. 👍👍 Great movie
I think the award is you watching, liking and leaving this awesome comment!
Isaac, my brother in Christ, just tell her where you were when the light thing happened. Oh my god, that was PAINFUL.
This is one of the best short movies I have ever seen. Great job guys! Thanks for posting it. Masterpiece!
Wow, thanks!
Is this movie available in full and also wat is his name
No way.
You never going to believe what im looking at?
The House, the house on the painting.
I knew it was it, i passed through it everyday but somehow , just to fit the narrative and very oddly if imay add.
I only just now recognized it.
Lmfao 😆
Captivating from beginning to end….great film!!! Definitely 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for watching! Love your idea for the ending!
The realtor is a PHENOMENAL actress ❤
If only he didn't go to the window. Curiosity they say...... Awesome movie.
Wasn't expecting this!!! So weird so well done. Crazy.
We love weird, it's kind of our thing! So glad you like it! Please subscribe for more!
Best short horror film on You Tube
Whoa!! Thank you for saying that!
In Germany we say: hammermäßig! Richtig, richtig gut gemacht👍👍👍 ich bin begeistert!
I am enthused!!
Danke Schoen!
Well thought out plot and THOUROGHLY acted and directed. If Hollywood would do things like this then maybe we'd get some decent movies.
Brilliant in every way! Absolutely loved this film.
Yay!! We love that you loved it! Thank you.
Great,just great!
Id give this short 9.10 because the Actors are believable and its not Cringy.I been watching horrors since 5 yrs old. Please make a sequel ❤🎉
I really want a sequel where they take a wrecking ball to that damn house. I felt so bad for them at the end.
Only if Miley Cyrus is sitting on it singing!! Just to make it more epic! Thanks for watching!
Amazing! Love it, We need more like this one.
We've got more supernatural, thriller and scary stuff coming! Thank you for watching.

Thank YOU for watching and the comments. We greatly appreciate it.
@@redtowerent No problem; it was my pleasure to watch it.
BTW, I subscribed of course.
This is the second best short I've seen. Great story and acting. The ending was messed up but the wife can still help her husband out. She just had to lose somebody to that house then call thr construction crewto knock it down
We would love to know what the first one is?!
@@redtowerent "Abandoned" that was the first one
Whoever has gone missing in that house is trapped in that painting!
Wow, this was different! A Twilight Zone meets haunted house tale. I liked it & it was amazingly-filmed!! Did you use an actual abandoned house or someone's (beautiful either way!) home?
Thank you for watching, Tara. It was an empty house that they filmed in. The director of photography, Keith Golinski is really great!
Very spooky story, reminded me of night gallery with the gist rooted in the painting.
We love the Night Gallery comparison for sure!!
We need a part 2 pls! This short film is amazing. I seen the MI license plate and I live in MI I hope I dont drive by the house 😮 😊
We’re discussing and working on new things! The house is still in MI and may be waiting for you to drive by! 🥺😳😂
Are you able to reveal the town (or at least what part of MI) this was shot in? I’ve lived here for 33 years
The scariest thing about this is that guys sevenhead
I absolutely loved this short!!! There should be a To Be Continued to it!! 😀 This was super suspenseful!!
Very well done! and the acting was Awesome!
Thank you so much!!
Loved this!!! Thank you!!!
Thank YOU for watching!
Isaac and Caitlyn had the, god I hope she doesn't have us arrested or ask us to spend money, look on their faces 😂. Great film good job 👍👍
Wow that was awesome!
Good work to all involved
At the end i got slow-burn goosebumps
Kudos
Greatly appreciate you saying that!!
WOW‼👍👍👏👏👏👏
But If I was Isaac...I'd Be Out of There As Soon as she Disappeared
‼🤣🤣🤣
There are a few flaws but overall a great short film! Would love to see a part 2!
Wow.... That kept me on the edge of my seat....Bloody good.👍
Damn.. The acting is soo good!
I feel like i am watching some people having conversations in real!
And the storyline... is a masterpiece ❤
Thank you thank you!!

Happy 2024! I'm starting to get into these short horror films watching them on my cellphone while laying in the bed😊
The story is just like a Beyond Belief episode, I was half expecting Jonathan Frakes trying to trick me into believing it x) And I loved it!
Amen!! Maybe Frakes was hiding in the basement when the door accidentally locked him in too!
@@redtowerent Oh noo, give him back! 😄
❤️
Adorei! Muito obrigada por ter postado! Que suspense! Realmente deveria virar um filme! Parabéns á todos os envolvidos! Todos muito talentosos!😲❤🎬📽🎞🍀
The realtor woman says :
There hasn't been anyone in here for quite a while I think.
No one except the spirit.😂
What a great movie.
Keeps you on the edge of your seat.
This house has a lot of “spirit” for you young buyers! Thanks for watching!!
Wow, this was amazing! Really enjoy, as many other comments I agree it was a pure
" Twilight zone" short 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Next stop, the Twilight Zone (in my best Rod Sterling voice)
Soon as the officer picked up the painting, knew it would be Isaac in it.
What if it was like Pennywise or Chucky? That would have been a real surprise! Thank you for watching!
I enjoyed watching that, thanks for posting
Thank you for watching! We appreciate it!
i love how this couldve been 5 minutes but ended up being dragged out to 23 minutes bc isaac took so long to say things like: "by the window"💀 but fr tho this was nicely put together and the suspense was deffinately here thx for this ❤
