Notice how there is always an anticipation and slow build up until loud noises appear.
You don't see that slow build up in awful Hollywood horrors.

You pick up an armoire. All of a sudden you start hearing creepy tapping and footsteps in your house. You come home to everything you put in the armoire thrown around your room. You hear more tapping. At that point do you not throw it out your window or something?

You’re assuming she didn’t get help and even so, with a hand-truck it’s totally possible for one person to make that move.
Depending on the wood it’s made of it might not have been too bad. I’ve moved some crazy looking stuff because the material it was made of was light. My sister has a bookshelf taller than me that I can pick up easy. You can never know!
And not to mention her apartment number is 201 which implies her room is on the second floor.

I already live in Los Angeles and my family is poor so taking furniture left out and restoring it was a very common thing in my household.
Absolutely phenomenal!! There’s nothing better than a horror film with acting that really sells it! This had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and the payoff will stick with me. I’m so glad I found this!

She was thinking it was bedbugs or fleas, or mice. You can often see signs of all 3 in a bed. I would have looked there first too, then around windows. She also may have thought the sounds were mice.

I've seem a million horror movies that don't scare me, but this was terrifying. Something about the realism of being in a new apartment alone & hearing noises, just gets me. The tension, waiting for something to jump out was good also. True horror lies in the build-up.
A simple note on the furniture would suffice. Like a " please dont take. Im haunted and wrecklessly evil" would do enough for me.

I feel like Alter is so hit or miss with their short horror films, but I definitely liked this one, cool concept, not over the top with jump scares, nice storyline given the short amount of time, I really liked this one

I got a 'Drag me to hell' feeling. I think that guys were hypnotized from the very first look, that's why she choosed an armoire that doesn't fit to her interior at all. That demon just sucked out her life energy and make her zombie, that's why she didn't burn it, just passed to another victim.
This is my favorite horror short s far. Brilliantly acted and shot. The shot at 10:35 is the stuff on nightmares. Great work.

I usually watch a lot of mainstream horror movies, which prove rather countlessly subpar. But this! Let me tell you the chills down my spine made me pull up my blanket at this heat. Its writers really did a fantastic job at attempting to align the narrative to true spiritual and supernatural phenomena, and only amplified it fictionally in a subtle way. Now the only problem I have is trying to stop binging these short movies and not finding success in it.

Wow ! It reminds me a story my ex gf told me a few years ago that happened in cambodia with her sister and aunt. Many weird unexplainable things happened in the region where her family lives. One night her sister saw a black human shape standing and looking at her on top of the wardrobe exactly as that scene in this movie ! Then she ran out of the room to call the aunt and when she came into the room she also saw the same thing. Of course this is just one of the unexplainables stories she told me and i usually don't believe in those things, but still this is terrifying

I think this one of the creepiest ALTER films I’ve ever seen, the demon was just terrifying, the cinematography was great and the acting, and the story isn’t bad at all!

@Hagane Len I've learned that nobody is perfect and probably not going to love you the "right" way (I think everyone has a different idea of what love is). The best thing to do is to look at their character. Before I married my husband, I noticed he was financially responsible and helpful. Also, test them to see if they're willing to stay with you during bad times or if they'll put in the effort to help you. My man did so I married him. Not sure what else to tell you, but I hope you find a life partner one day (if that's what you're looking for). 😄

I think the most fictitious element of this short is the fact that she was able to afford that apartment in L.A., even with her parent's help, lol
The real curse isn't the fact that the process repeats in being found and killing the owner, it's the curse of no simple logic. Like putting the armoire in the dump, or a paper signs that says "DO NOT COLLECT" or "DESTROY AT ALL COST"
