You can add Optiphen PLUS above 140° now? 🤔 The rule of thumb with it has always been to not add until 140° or below, to prevent it from breaking down.
Jerika, I love all of your videos! I'm thinking of going into my gift business full time! I'm going to run it out of my house. Any tax info that you can give, or set business advice would be well appreciated. I can take all of the advice that I can get!!
I'm glad I'm not the only who buys my soaping dishes at the thrift store😂. The Crockpots I use for HP soap were actually wedding gifts more than 26 years ago. The handles are broken on one of them, but they still worked, so I never got rid of them even though I'd replaced them with new ones for cooking food.
I'm looking into making whipped soaps, however I'm worried that it won't hold up in high temperatures as i live in the Caribbean. What advice can you give?
beautiful creations !! pro tip: when filling those pesky jars, place on a damp towel or silicone trivet to keep from having to chase it around your workstation ❤
It’s good to see you doing more videos. I’ve been following you for several years and have really enjoyed your videos. Glad you’re settling into your new home. Great product. I’ve made the base from scratch and used it for my Sugar Whipped Soaps.
OMG Jerika, how in the world do you make no mess?! I made the biggest mess with whipped soap, it’s all over my gloves and my mixer 😂🤦🏼♀️😫 I think whipped soap is amazing, just used the blackberry bling bling fragrance from natures garden and it’s amazing ❤
I love this idea! I was wondering if you’re able to do a video on pricing for shipping off of Etsy and or Shopify ? I know Etsy has a option of ordering over $35 you can get free shipping but from your experience what you suggest ?
Hey, I think you are really successful, easy to watch, just enough funny and I really appreciate you sharing your journey. I have been a nurse for years and lately getting into the bath/soap making small business and you are my go to. thank you!!!
You are the best homemade body care channel. I have found on RUclips. I have been following you for over a year. Which teir do I need to join in order to see all of your awesome recipes and tips?
Im sorry this isn't this video but im going to start selling bath bombs i looked it up and it said there are some health risks to using polysorbate 80 is this true
I make my shower gel and whipped foaming scrubs with KOH. It works amazingly well and I can just make the paste and put it aside undiluted until I need to make some shower gel or whipped soap base.
Oh man, my apologies! I don’t select when to put in the commercials (I turn Adsense on and let RUclips make the placements automatically - they’re usually placed in appropriate spots), but I’ll take a look and move it for next time! Sorry about that! 😢
I didn't even get a advertisement this video. But when I do, I don't mind because I don't pay for RUclips so that's the price we pay for free RUclips, watching ad's. Another way of looking at it, if you support Jerika and her work, you wouldn't mind watching an ad or two since you obviously don't pay for RUclips service.
Is SCI really a adequate for the body... I don't think so.. it's too rough for the PH body... Again.. I don't think that a preservative is neceswary in products that don't have water in it. EVEN if it's in the shower!
Actually, SCI has a pH.of 5-6.5 which is perfect for skin products. And many makers add a preservative to products that come in contact with water. If its your preference not to, that's your prerogative. No reason to make nasty comments
@@JerikaZimmerman Ok! I did'nt listen that part. I have a lot of customer allergic to SCI, for example, they say that a shampoo with SCI from pharmacy really itch their head. Also, the ingredient is listed "not terrible" on the INCI Beauty page and it's difficilt to biodegrade. :'( This ingredient, must be filtered by a drain (water treatment centers) and is not compatible for using in lakes. SLSA too 😬
Alao I do craft shows and my sugar scrub was outside all summer. Didn't have a problem at all they didn't melt. They didn't change at all. I love ur videos, but I kinda feel u giving bad info here. Where I live it got up to 100 . I still have one jar that I'm goin to use for myself and it's fine.
I also use my base for making men's shaving cream. This is the same base I make. It's awesome 💯😎
This looks amazing and so luxurious and your base making is probably the easiest way Ive ever seen.
Wonderful idea and wonderful finished product.❤ I think that jar of soap will last forever, as it foams so well and only a dip suffices.
I cannot wait to try this! I hope this is part of your product line!
This looks fabulous! As it has water in does that not pose a problem if you want to use it as a sugar scrub though?

Hi Jerika Do you still use this base for your sugar scrubs?
Where were the measurements for the 1st few powders you used?
Hi, do test the ph after you finish whipped soap ?
What are the measurements??
Can you update us on the discoloration from the fragrance when it's had some time to settle?

Yes there are so many tools at super discounted prices at garage sales and thrift stores!

Measurements of the ingredients please
How many mins are we supposed to whip it for?
Hi
I can’t find the recipe?
I love it! I want to give it a try. Never really thought about whipped soap.
So where do we find the recipe?

Great idea! Will add that idea to the list 😊❤
We Love “all things Fall”…. and this product would make an exquisite addition to a product line….
Agreed! ❤
Jerika, can you share where you got your overhead camera stand? Thank you.
Ahh I love your cute hair do. Congratulations on your move and new home. I’ve been enjoying watching your journey.
What is in the mica spritz bottle? Do you provide percentages of each ingredient?

Hi lovely video
My soap didn't harden up and it's completely cooled down.
What do I do?
Absolutely delightful!! Thank you for sharing your talent…such a fan! ❤️

I make this all the time. I have used both sci and slsa. I don't feel or see much of a difference. I prefer slsa. So people u can use either or.
Can you use just Optiphen in this recipe instead of Optiphen plus? Thanks

OOOOUUUUUUUU Whipped soap!!!!!
Oh yaaaa!! 😊
What are the measurement amounts?
Absolutely gorgeous!! Have been wanting to add this to my product line
You should! It’s such a great product - I’m completely in love with it!
I love your content
Love the whipped soap but your hair looks so cute ;_;
Oh thank you! 😊❤
Great video❤
Have you ever attempted to make a whipped soap from a cold process base? Maybe using KOH?
Oooh ! I’ve heard about that and that’s definitely something I want to try! Adding it to my projects list!
@@JerikaZimmerman I’ve been wanting to play more with KOH products but finding time to test is so hard since selling soap is my side work.

Thank You I'm going ro try this
Hope you enjoy! It was very easy to make!
Good job and best of luck....
Thank you! ❤
Beautiful, thank you!
Glad you like it! 😊
Can this be used on the face?
Yes! PH test the soap or product you intend to use on your face and adjust by adding a few drops of citric acid solution if needed.
Thank you@@JerikaZimmerman
Love your videos, but a commercial not even two minutes in is really a turnoff.

There’s water in the foaming base. And SCI is super gentle, so great for the body 😊
