BUDGET REEF TANK BUILD | POWERING AN EFFICIENT SUMP MANIFOLD WITH REACTORS AND UV | WATERBOX

- Whats up FAM! Two weeks later.. we finally cleaned up the waterbox 7225 clear pro and got water in the aquarium to start up the budget reef tank build. All off the glass sides and bottom had calcium build up. I had left tap water in there for over half a year evaporating. I scrapped and syphoned out the residue. While I have the tank filled up, I unboxed my aqua clear 50 power head and attempted to make it work with my hang on back overflow. I am using the venturi hose to suck out the air in the chamber and keep my syphon going. We also attempted to run the main pump and see how water cycles through the whole system but ran into hiccups. We got the overflow working but ran into issues with leaks on the plumbing as well. We got the sump pump fixed and sorted out. This video is specific to getting the water from the sump back into the display. The sump it self is made my trigger systems. The water is going through a DIY manifold that houses a pellet reactor and a carbon reactor by aquamaxx. The sump pump also powers the tetra pond UV sterilizer that I made work in my system. So all in all I have three components all powered by my return pump. This saves electricity as well as limiting more things to plug in. This is my how to build your own reef/salt aquarium your way. Let me know your thoughts.

Beautiful 🤩
Glad you started on this tank again looks amazing
The output will be awesome.🔥🔥
well done on that manifold
Jake! Thank you! How did you end up on my videos? 😅
Looks amazing 👏 super impressed woth plumbing work and reactors suspended above sump.
Thanks. One of the reason why I went with a taller stand
Great sump setup, congratulations¡ 👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Thank you!
Jebao pumps are great I’ve been using them for years even when I had my own saltwater store..
I have it in my Red Sea for a couple years now with out any issues at all
Looking great!
thank you!
Good job brother looks clean
Thanks bro. Two years later lol
@@prolificbreedaquatics I’m doing a 120 and it’s going to take as long it need the set up looks fire I’m stealing couple ideas 💡 lol
Nice
Looks good dude!
Thanks!
How did you attach the unions to the barbs? I would like to do that. My Aqua Ultraviolet comes with 3/4" barb connectors. I prefer standard PVC unions. Let me know please.
check back on older videos for this series. I did step by step how I built everything.
Looks really good, is it still working fine with the reactors hanging?
everything is still running. check out instagram for latest updates. i'll update here with longer videos when i have time
Are you going to take down the redsea tank? I just started another tank and it has been 3 months and I have barely enough time. Every day there is something that goes wrong with one of the tanks. By the way my tanks are the 25 gallon lagoon and a 45 gallon tank with a sump. Always exciting to start up a new tank, congratulations.
I was thinking of taking the Red Sea down but not sure now
Hello. Water is collected from the outlet and returned to the sump. Then, from the sump, it goes to the last chamber, to the outlet, and is sterilized (and/or cleaned by the media) again. This is probably not the best design. Water from the lamp and rectors should go into the aquarium and not into the sump. Am I wrong?
you are not wrong. To do that require more piping and room for the exits from the reactor and UV.
What’s the model number for the reactors that you used?
