Extremely Helpful!! I have a 2017 Renegade Limited and I kept telling them it was more than one bulb in that spot, now I’m going to prove it. Thanks a lot!!!!😊
Thank you! I have a 2016 Renegade. The screws go into an expanding mount, like used in drywall, and come off with the plate. You don’t have to unscrew them all the way to pop the plate off. I had to get a flathead under the screw head to get it started coming out. Also, on the passenger side there was a black reservoir in the way. I had to peek through a convenient hole in the wheel well to see everything. The bulb holders are mounted different too, but turn left technique is the same. Thank you again! 👍🏼
You are right - access via this panel inside the front rhs wheelarch on a UK car is largely blocked by a black plastic reservoir making the job extremely awkward. Also, the wheel has to be turned outwards to give enough elbow space. What a fiddle!
O.M.G. Thank you for saying what the corner light of the DLR was!!! I have been trying to find that info for hours online. My blinkers, now I know what they are, on both sides do not turn off when I turn the car off! last year I had the body control module replaced because one DRL would not turn off one one side and the other wouldn't turn on so I had a new BCM put in and that seemed to fix it until this past w/e when the side lights on the DRLs stay on after I turned the car off. I've been disconnecting the battery to turn them off. I have an appt in a week with the dealership. What a pain! Thanks for this video! (I have 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk)
I own a 2017 Jeep Renegade and just learned how to change the bulbs all thanks to your video. Thank you so much! Looking forward to more of your videos in regard to the Renegade.
Thank you thank you so much. I have watched several other ones and this one is the best by far. It actually shows you I was really confused because there’s two lights there and I was always pulling the brake light but I appreciate this video so very much thank you I will subscribe and watch more.
Very helpful. And very clear video. I had a hard time seeing inside there once I got my hand inside and your video made it very clear where I was supposed to be going. I need to replace the parking/running light and the socket it is set up. Mine shorted out. And before I could get to that now my low beam on that side blew out too so I have to replace that also.
Hi great video, but I tried two replacement bulbs and no light (while it was hanging in the wheel well), I thought maybe it wouldn't light up until bulb mount is replaced into housing, to make a ground or something, but still no go. The other side works fine. Any chance theres a fuse for each side ? The bulb receptacle and pigtail all look fine, no wear or cuts in the wire or anything. Thank u! (my rusted but still illuminating fog lights gotta go next too)
Sure would be nice if manufacturers would give us easier access to light bulbs. Recently replaced the side running light on the wife's 2016 Renegade. I would have been in trouble if my arms were any shorter. Thanks for the succinct video.
Thank You 🙏🏽 my friend I got mine changed by myself but if I wouldn’t have looked at the video first I probably would have switched out the signal light bulb 😂🤣. Thank You
Thanks you for posting this video. It was easy to follow. Sadly after changing the bulb it didn’t work. I replaced it with another new bulb and made sure it was placed correctly and nothing. Do you know what else could be?
Thanx for this. Helped a lot... The only issue I had... The 2 screws on my car (2016) were cheap plastic ones. I used a small vice grips rather than strip the head, as none of my philips screwdrivers seemed to fit just right... Also, I did get the wrong bulb initially. For some reason, my searching on Amazon got me brake light bulbs... Not sure how I did that. But a quick run to the auto parts store got me the right ones.
Im getting the parking light out on dash. Its not illuminated on the drivers side like it is the passenger side. But when i remove the harness and bulb from its housing and let it hang, and start the vehicle again, the bulb is lit????? Is this the same light as you aree replacing?
Anyone know where I can find the amber cover for this light? 2019 Latitude 2WD. Rock shatter the cover and the bulb. Found replacement bulbs (45-55 bucks)
I have a 2020 jeep renegade sport. On my renegade there is only one outlet that controls the running lights and turn signals. You cannot simply remove the bulb and replace it. The clip that holds the bulb broke on me and will not clip in so I am forced to buy a whole new housing to get the clip that holds the bulb in
I have a separate video on replacing the license plate bulbs, there's a Playlist full of videos for the renegade if you go to my channel you will find it
How strange my Jeep has a black plastic thing blocking the way to the bulb. When i take the panel off right in front is some intercooler or some plastic thing and i cant reach the bulb 😢
What do you say to do when you have replaced the bulb on the drl and it doesn't take care of the problem? Is it easy to replace the bulb socket on the drl oneself?
I would recommend checking to see if you are getting power to the socket with a multimeter, if there's no power check for broken wires, check fuses, the socket may need replacement which it unplugs and just pick a new one up at the parts store. Hope this can help
@@603Mechanicvids you answered my question. According to a repair shop mechanic , he tells me I need a replacement running light socket. I have a 2018 jeep renegade. Is it easy to install?
I changed the bulb, but I can't seem to put it back in the place. Should I press on something or just twist from the right to the left until it settles in ?
You should be able to push the bulb down and twist clockwise. Make sure the two little prongs on the metal part of the bulb line up correctly with the bulb socket. Should lock right in for you
For 2017 Renegade; both blinker and DRL sockets: Drivers side is normal, counterclocwise 1/8 turn to remove and clockwise to install bulb & socket assembly. Passenger side is opposite, backwards compared to a bolt: CW to remove, CCW to install. Takes a bit of wiggling until it seats before you can rotate 1/8 turn & you will feel a click. Shouldn't have to force it. PS change both L & R at the same time... they are the same age!
anyone else get intermittent turn signal out display on dash? I think the harness leading to my RIGHT turn signal bulb may be tight and depending on road conditions it pulls slightly just enough for connector to lose contact but then will eventually go back to making contact
My DRL has been doing this a few months now so I decided to look this up to see how to change. Since it comes back on I'm thinking a loose connection too but I'll change it and see if it stops. Good luck
I'm a woman & I feel pretty confident to change my daytime light RIGHT now ! Lol thank you very helpful.

I'm really grateful for this video BUT no matter how i turn the tire, i never have enough room to reach in and out the unit back into place
I struggled more with the right side then the left. Took me a minute but finally was able to get it back in place.
Thank you! A rock went through ours the other day. Busted both bulbs. We will be fixing ours today cuz of your help! Appreciate it dude. :)

Great video, to the point and no rambling on about useless topics. Thanks for your time and effort.
Thanks! It's not in the owner's manual, of course, so this was a great reference. Changed it in about 5 minutes.
yeah they don't like to put that stuff in the manual of course, im glad I could help👍 thanks for the comment

@@603Mechanicvids watching the oil change video as I am due and looking for ways to save and not go to the dealership.
Thank you for the clear directions. Tried yesterday but couldn’t get the screws off and was worried about stripping, going to try again today.
Thanks! Exactly what I needed and very clear instructions.
thank you for the comment, sorry for the late reply
Thank you, I have been procrastinating this task, thinking it was going to be an approach from the engine compartment.
This was super easy. 👌🏻
Thank you for such a detailed video, it took this gal about 6 minutes from start to finish. Thanks again!!!👍🏻
your welcome, glad it helped u out 👍
Excellent in explaining how to change day running light

I just bought my renegade and I am interested in all the content, thanks for the useful video.

maybe a bad connector i believe this is a common issues with these vehicles
@603Mechanicvids thank you. Your video was great.
What type of bulb for a 2019 sport renegade? Should I just get a Sylvania blinker from AutoZone?
None of my screws are taking the screws out 😭 I can’t even open the light thing. What size screw driver is that ??

Muchas gracias , la explicación fue exelente. Soy mujer y querían cobrarme una fortuna para cambiar esa bombilla. Gracias pero muchas!!!😅

Thanks! Need the Fog Light and the Parking Light videos now
I'll make sure I get them made up. Glad to help
What if the plastic screws are stripped? I’m having difficulty accessing my fender panels
you can use pliers to grab the screw and just spin it that way
On the DRL you said "turn to the left" does that mean counter clockwise??
yes
Great tips!
Crazy helpful, thank you for posting this video
which bulb is the blinker ? the black or the white
I did it myself with this video! Thank you! I know hubby will be impressed! Or, he better be! Haha

Are they both the same type of bulb?
No, sorry if I didn't state that in the video.
Thank you very much for your video, I needed the 7507 :)
Thanks
Thanks!!
Well Done!
Good job with the camera! It’s really snug in there
Unfortunately the housing is different on the 2019 and its not a simple twist out 😩
As a follow up its a pinch and pull design so its easy to pull out once you know what to do
I was able to twist mine out fine. Getting in there was a struggle.
thanks 4 your video .
