I have a question: Why physiol Finevision IOL, has not been FDA approved as a trifocal lens?
Does this means something for the specific lens and company?
    Thanks in advance!

I think it is related to low intermediate distance performance.

    • @dimitrios67

@@iol-adviser You' re right! The difference between theme is:
Panoptix, intermediate: +2.17D, Finevision: +1.75D, means that intemediate distance for Panoptix is nearer than Finevision, about 60cm vs 80 cm.
80cm is useless! Computer monitor in at 60cm-70cm.
      Thanks for your answer!

Most European IOLs do not register with FDA, because it is very costly for a foreign company to register with FDA.

  • @yhl3502

Dr. Alex, In your experience, are there any differences among the monofocal lenses of different brands, such as the Alcon Acrysoft (SA60WF), J&J Tecnis (ZCB00) , and Bausch + Lomb enVista (MX60E)? There are quite a few videos talking about the premium lenses, but not really any about the advantages and disadvantages of the different brands of monofocal lenses.

Good question! Maybe I will plan a deep review as I did at my other channel made in Russian.,. Briefly - the best in terms of image quality (if you have normal cornea) is Tecnis ZCB00 which has negative asphericity to improve image contrast at low light, then comes enVista as neutrally aspherical with average performance at low light but with more safety in terms of cornea irregularities, and final is Alcon Acrysof SA60WF as standard spherical or having positive spherical aberration IOL. Hope this helps.

Would you recommend the Tecnis monofocal or Clareon Monofocal ?
I read that the material the IOLs are made of can reflect light that other people can see “twilight/diamond eye”. Does the Tecnis reflect less light than the Clareon?@@iol-adviser

    Hi Dr. Alex,
I have implanted a deeply sharp toric IOL.
How long it takes for my eyes to adapt to it and have the target vision performance?
It is 4 days now and I still have a cloudy vision

    • @yassertamer7416

The implanted lens is AcrySof IQ Vivity

    • @iol-adviser
      @iol-adviser  2 года назад +1

it is quite strange, as with Vivity you should have no need to neuroadapt. It might be other reasons.

      Thanks for replying.
Two days after the surgery, the doctor decided to do another surgery to remove residual part of the old lens and he confirmed the day after that everything looks perfect. It improved a little after the second surgery. However it is still cloudy vision.
Yet now it is the 5th day without any further improvement.
What could be the reasons from your point of view?
