    When I get to have my own set of needles and a bunch of yarns I will make tons of these cowls. Thank you for this. By the way, can you make a tutorial on baby clothes, sweaters and jackets?

    I have ton of leftover yarn that would just be enough for a cowl, but I can NEVER get the proportions right. It's even too thick and it can practically stand on its own LOL or it's too large and looks weird. This is giving me hope that I can do it. Looks great on your mom!

      This cowl is sturdy so it can stand on its own but it’s also quite cushy so you can bend and flex it. The final look will also depend on the yarn and it’s fiber content. Alpaca or alpaca blend yarn will be quite draped whereas cotton will be quite rigid. Hope that helps!

    Thanks so much for this tutorial! Do I need to check the gauge before starting this?

      Choose a super bulky yarn and you should be ok!

    If I want a seamless joint, do I just cast on an extra stitch (say 64) and follow your instructions in “Knitting in the Round” video?

    For the K2TBL after you go into the first two stitches, the second time through the back loop are you dropping both K2 stitches off your left needle or the one before the P1?? It’s hard to tell since it looked like you dropped one the first time and then 2 the next

    • @sheepandstitch
      @sheepandstitch  2 года назад +1

      Hi you’re knitting two through the back loop, but keeping the stitch on the left needle. Then knit into one stitch through the back loop again. Then dropping both stitches off the left needle, and purl one. Hope that makes sense!

    • @sheepandstitch

      No! This stitch looks nice in many different weights. Bulky yarn just knits up really quickly

      What I like to do is use a needle 1-2 sizes larger when casting on and then I use the recommended size for the pattern/yarn. I can’t enjoy it if it’s too tight 😅

    It would help if you pause or slow down a bit when showing viewers how to complete the stitches/purl. Replayed and couldn’t quite understand 😢

    I have watched many of her videos, and I am by no means a fan, but I don’t get this vibe at all that she’s forcing her daughter. In fact, it almost looks like the daughter loves being in front of the camera in lots of videos I’ve seen of hers. Here in this shot, she could’ve just been having a bad day as all kids get frustrated at times even when doing things they like or love
