    Thank you for the end teaching how to adjust different yarn weights/needle size. This was the most straightforward method of explaining I’ve seen.

    I just finished making a cowl! I felt a little challenged to get back to knitting after 35 years of not touching knitting needles. But your video tutorial saved me. I truly enjoyed this project. Thank you so much, Ashley!

    Hi Ashley! Thank you for this tutorial. I'm horrible with math. LOL... So, thank you for showing us. I'm going to be casting on using a #4 weight yarn and will gift it to my mom. Again, thank you so much.

    I used Loops and Threads Charisma (weight 5 yarn) and 8mm needles, casted on 61 stitches and it came out to 11” wide like this one. I love it! The yarn striped so beautifully for this size, and I’m going to put it to use tomorrow for a fishing trip 🙂
    Thank you for the tutorial!

    Happy New Year, Ashley, I used your cast-on converter and got the same 110 st counts, so I'm now confident I am using the table correctly. The cowl although simple is lovely and would go nicely with (hint, hint) legwarmers. Thank you for this new pattern and access to your converter table.

    Very nice work and a very good teacher!
    I’ve already knit this but at the end of the cowl after cast off the rib is not so flexible like at the beginning!
    Somebody told me that I should cast off only with purl stitch!!!
    Is that correct?

    I followed your pattern but for some reason mine ended up 12 inches wide. I am new to knitting so I’m not surprised mine doesn’t look like yours, but I don’t understand why it’s as wide as it is unless it’s because maybe I stitch too loosely.

    Im attempting my first knit in the round using this video. Using a very thin yarn... Having real trouble with the first round being tight on the length of thr needs. Using the shortest cable that came with it, so not sure what I'm doing wrong other than maby needing shorter cables?

    • @AshleyLillisKnits
      @AshleyLillisKnits  Год назад

      16” is usually the shortest and should definitely work with the cowl if you cast on enough stitches. Did you adjust your stitch count for your gauge?

  • @tigbeswick595

    I’m a bit confused by the ‘cast on an even number of stitches, then drop a stitch to connect the first round to the second round’. Doesn’t that make it an uneven number of stitches and change the ‘K1, P1’ pairing for the rib rows? Am I overthinking this? Will it work?

    • @AshleyLillisKnits
      @AshleyLillisKnits  Год назад +1

      Cast on an even number of stitches, Add an extra stitch to drop to connect in the round…. Then you’ll have an even number of stitches. There are various ways to join in the round so the base pattern is casting on an even number of stitches. Hope that helps!
