- This is my summary video for the 2 semi-fnals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden. I really tried to touch base on EVERYTHING as quickly as possible to keep it relatively short. Unfortunately, it still took over 17 minutes.

I don't even remember what that thing abot Dons was hehe. I had a million things to say and no intention of making you listen to me blab about Eurovision for as long as it would take me to say them all...

@@yairmohr But yes, as a Ukrainian he should stand against war. And if he knows your viewpoints, he would think twice to support you. I feel this is our job to prevent good people from supporting you in any way.
Semifinals are basically a popularity contest. Bad things go through, good things get dropped 😔

I'm a bit confused by some of your findings because you mentioned that you rank a few songs (artists) third. Anyway, according to your review, there is no matching of a good song with a good vocal performance. I appreciate your honest opinion, but I'd like you to give your prediction for winners. I'm curious. Thanks a lot!
You got me. I am very torn about the rankings - because some songs I love were performed in a lackluster way, and some that I hate were just amazing. I don't know what to base my rankings on - the song or the performance. It's a paradox I can't solve. Luckily (or unluckily), the actual ranking is not decided by me ;)

@@NeurodiversitySucks You guessed wrong. Have you seen this guys hateful comments towards Dutch people, and other nations, he was going crazy in his Europapa comment section. Which just goes to show, if you cannot even have a video about a song you don't like without getting political/hateful, you really have no clue what objectivity means.
Yeah...Sweden (Norway whatever) is so plasticky polished it seems made via AI - so the staging impeccably sanitized. That's the music you like...
It always surprises me to hear how much different an opinion other people have when talking about/ranking Eurovision songs.
My personal top 3 this year is Norway, Italy and Croatia atm.
I ranked Serbia and Slovenia at #14 and #15 in their semifinal, and I think Europapa is an amazing song although it was not performed very well in the semifinal (the chorus fell flat in his performance).
You ranked Serbia and Portugal last? I can't believe anyone would do that. They're both extremely emotional songs, the kind that Eurovision was invented for...
And Joost was not even trying. Luckily he's out now.
Slovenia not Portugal, I ranked Portugal #5 in its semifinal, I'm not really into ballads, though I did think San Marino and Estonia did worse in the live performance this year. And speaking of emotional songs, some people consider Europapa one of, if not the most emotional song this year.
While I do agree Joost didn't do well in the chorus, I believe that the song in general was simply that good to still be able to do well in the final and hopefully make a better performance.
His disqualification is devastating to me, and I wouldn't wish the situation on any of the contestants
After reading the little that was disclosed about the incident, I agree. As much as I hated the song, the way he got banned was EXTREMELY fishy.
