fun fact, the speakers and radio isnt bad but for some reason tracker puts the actual antenna under the dash in a terrible place that is most likely the reason lol. I may be wrong but we have a 2018 pro guide v175 combo and found the antenna was bundled up and taped to the back of the radio, we un bundled it and put it under the dash still but in a better place on the left and it works well now!
I also did the antenna un-wind! Pretty lame they couldn't run it at the factory. The key to best reception is to get as much of that wire, as possible, in a vertical orientation. Mine was put up like an upside down U, using gorilla tape to hold it in place. Reception quality tripled. Even better, I loaded a 32gb thumb drive with music. There is a USB input in the wire bundle on the back of the radio. Plug in that thumb drive and have a fair amount of music to choose from while you're on the water!
Great review. I have ordered a 19’ combo with a 200hp back in February. Yet to be delivered to the dealer.. they claim the wind shield and the console is out of stock and no ETA. Cant wait to get it. Enjoy !!!!
Glad you’re still enjoying the boat. I actually ended up canceling my order and went with a SeaArk Procat 240. Kept getting the run around from Tracker and the dealer on where my boat was and when it would be ready. I couldn’t be happier i made the switch.
Really appreciate the indepth review. That thing has a lot of cup holders. I need something with more storage. Agree on forgoing the radio. 👍 Thanks for the honesty.
Great review. I picked up my new Targa 19 TE Combo with a 200 Merc in February. Love the boat. Still trying to figure out what compartments to put everything in and remembering it. Thanks to your videos, I bought the trailer valet jack and will be buying the adjustable trailer hitch (I have a height problem with my garage also). Still need to work on the VersaTrack hacks to install rod holders. I appreciate all of your boat and fishing videos. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks for the awesome comment Stan!! The only thing I forgot to mention in this video is, I had to take the boat back to have the motor lowered. It was installed too high causing cavitation and the bow rode too low. Might want to double check your motor height before the summer gets too busy for them to adjust that for ya. Happy boating!!
@g4outdoors I suspect it's not a motor height problem and the transom is twisted. Are your rod holders level when mounted in the versa track ? Mine track is twisted and not level on brand new boat. It's not fixable
@@g4outdoors I have the 2020 V-18 w/150. I wanted the 175 pro XS, but couldn't find one in stock and didn't want to wait. With the 150, full tank of fuel, my step son, my fat ass, my dog, and a full load of gear, she tops at 43-44 mph (gps). As you mentioned in your vid, sufficient for most uses!
It has vinyl flooring, so we don’t have to worry about that! Lol. I see you edited your comment. It was a factory installed option. Absolutely love our boat!!
Can you link the exact model of livescope pole you got. That looked pretty sturdy. My current ones moves when I’m going at full speed with the terrova. I too am in a tracker with a versatract
I'd like to chat with you guys. The Versa track on my new Targa is twisted down so rod holders are not level. Bimini top brackets not level. Other major issues I'd like to discuss.
Great review. Question: The twist latches, I see some of them are lockable. Are they all lockable or just certain one? I am hoping if there are any that do not lock I could perhaps order some of the lockable latches and replace the ones that do not. Thoughts?
@@jbreawilliams4507 I don’t like to have people on my boat, but, I did a charity fishing trip last year for our military vets. We fished 4 people and two “guides” with no issues at all. I like it when it’s just me and a buddy better though lol.
Seems like a slow hull, I have a 200 on a 21 ft boat that does 72 mph+. I say plus because it is floating on a tiny bit of hull at that speed and I pull it back a bit unless it is glass smooth.
Do your doors to the bow storage on both consoles stay closed? Meaning the doors like the one where your thinking of putting your live scope battery. I just got mine but the doors dont close well thinking of installing an earth magnet
I don’t pay much attention to length of rods that I use, so hear me out. I can fit ALL of my bass rods in there and I have some long rods. My crappie gear definitely will not fit. Helpful tip; remove the rear handle holder and you can fit twice the amount of rods in there.

I have a 2019 V-19WT with the 200 proxs. I still love it. And not many issues this far.

You just solidified my choice for this boat. Great video and tips. I would add simple shocks on those doors that is a great idea.
Still looking at options to keep those lids open. I am still 100% satisfied with our purchase.
Good review and glad to see you two back out on the water. Hope to see ya soon.
Me too Sam! The weather just needs to chill the heck out for a while and make up it’s mind on what it’s going to do lol.

Is your versa track twisted downward so rod holders are not level ? Any water spray issues with the motor?

The V-18 does come standard with the 150 as well. At least up in Canada it does
I had to look that up. 150 on an 18’ would be a sweet spot. It can handle up to a 200 which would be awesome! Lol.

I sooo need to upgrade my 2020 V165. I wanted the Targa, but the price was just a bit too high for me.
What kind of pole are you guys using for the live view?? Great video, by the way!!!
It’s a company in Canada. Fishfindermounts.com
Thanks!!
Absolutely fantastic video we were down at bass pro shop looking at boats Who installed your vinyl flooring

All of the “important” lids are lockable. They are a direct replacement for the lockable to non lockable and vise versa.
Use magnets to hold your lockers open
All this time my mind has been stuck on struts of some sort. Thanks for their “stupid simple” solution!!
Nice boat I have a family of 5 two adults and three kids would you recommend this boat for Catfishing I also have a Buick enclave for Pulling
This boat does it ALL!! Zero regrets!
Was also looking at the pro guide™m v-16 sc this was my goto for the family just wondering if I would have room with 5 people

10-4 last question what’s the payment like a month for that if you don’t mine me asking

How much weight, etc, can you use with the ski pole?
Does it matter if you hit a stump at 35 or 45 miles an hour ?
Just depends on how far you want to fly out of the boat I suppose lol.
Did you add a cleat near the front for an anchor?
Hey, how long rods do you get into the middle compartment? I got my v-18 recently and cant even fit a 6 fot rod in there

@@g4outdoors thanks for the fast reply. Must be something off with my middle compartment. I'll crawl in there with a flashlight tomorrow.
@@fishingmjorn Mine had a bunch of expandable foam that had spilled over into the rod locker. I had to chip it out to get rods in it.
Um so like, how does it compare to my 1983 procraft in stuff?
It’s all in the G4 Outdoors decal. They are both the same really. 🤣👊🏻
at the lake I fishes at biggest motor I can have is a 115
wil it be all right for that for that boat
Sure! I wouldn’t expect anymore than 35 mph out of it though. I take mine on 25HP limited lakes, I just have to keep it at idle.
