They made Meg from Hercules so unnecessarily hot, so imagine how I felt after watching the movie as a kid, then getting into the actual mythology and learning Hercules murders her.

So one day, just for sh*ts and giggles, Hera used Lytta, the spirit of rage and madness, to make Herc think that Meg cheated on him with Eurystheus, his cousin, and that Herc’s five kids are actually Meg and Eurystheus’. So in a blind rage, Herc went home, and using his superhuman strength, ripped his kids and his wife apart. This is also the reason why Hercules was given the 12 labors, as a way to punish him for the murder of his family.

@@Ash-tu1oc Well that is true, but Harry Potter was first release in japan in 1999, and is about as popular there as it is everywhere else. Not to mention that the movie was released in japan in December of 2001, while Host clubs original serialization started in September of 2002, which means even if we assume that the author was inspired by the movies popularity and not the books there's still about a 10 month timeframe.
