It would’ve been annoying/hard to remember exactly where the effects were, thus doing it the way they did was likely the best way to do it

@@MilkDGoat yeah, but what would be easier, trying to perfectly remember exactly where the dots are and where they would be in relation to the storyboard to be in the right place for fluid animation or just coloring around it, either way it’s tedious

Digu’s part was INSANE. I especially love how the animation loops, with the character looking like they’re teleporting out of the last frame and jumping back onto the grave in the first frame.
Its literally high budget anime type of shit. Guess that's what happens when you pay the animators.

Digu’s frames were absolutely insane to me, I can’t make those drawings in a proper platform and he does it in gartic phone😭
I was so ready to comment something along this line, like we all know Juny is amazing but digu’s painting and inkora’s fx in particular had me fucking gagged. Like they all cooked but damn were those three killing it.

If you weren't there, Ross was also fighting the hamster demons when he pulled for heroes. The hamsters were everywhere and they wanted his sanity.
People always mention Juny, but Digu was also absolutely popping off in a lot of these and making everyone’s life more difficult too 😂 I mean that in a nice way tho! Appreciation for all the artists in these, everybody did a phenomenal job as always ❤

@@PepetoGuy they choose animations because it's their passion and they love doing it, they have spent so much time learning and improving to get to that point. The job requires high skill, it's hard to do and need time. That's why I think they deserve getting paid more.

I’m watching this as I’m working on a animation project for class due Wednesday…. 160 frames in 450 to go! 15fps it’s a rotoscoped video of my dog and my brother on my kayak and him being a idiot and not understanding he can’t stand on the edge without falling and then jumping into my mom’s kayak which he succeeds with and then in his excitement he falls. Your gartic animations for sure have helped me understand animation more and this is also a experimental animation class. Maybe now I don’t feel so bad taking around on average 1-2 minutes to do a frame. Thank you for providing me entertainment

It was a wild ride. I kept the stream on my phone for about four or five hours while I was watching anime with my friend and his family. By the time I got back to it, you guys were almost done. The payoff was AMAAAAZIIIIIIING!
The level of detail in all the little smears from everyone is astonishing to me. Plus, Digu's my hero for painting literal portraits mid-animation - with CHROMATIC ABBERATION? IN GARTIC PHONE??
I love the fact that most of the characters chosen were the dramatic Graveborn heroes (and one Hypogean), then you have Chippy, Mirael, and Lyca just chillin' with all these baddies (All the animations were SICK though!)
the frame digu drew at 30:03 looked so much like a yoneyama mai illustration/animation frame because of the bowl cut hair and the way the hair flows and the facial structure!!! so cool
Remember: These animators dont get paid usually, but still deliver absolute banger drawings!
Edit: As ive learned, they do get paid for the no time limit videos. The money is deserved. The animations always turn out amazing!
Actually the no time limit format I've been paying people who take part since the Super Saiyan one I believe? While they are fun, they are very time consuming and I wanted to make sure my friends got something for their time. Sponsors make these videos happen! :)

I love this series because you can SEE everyone show off how their animation style has evolved even in only a matter of MONTHS. the animations have gotten so SMOOTH!! I envy y’all’s talent and wanna work to get THAT good.
These are my favorite type of videos but sadly are the most taxing mental for Ross. As someone still learning to be an artist in the works these gratic phone animation videos have inspired me to not only continue to want to get better want to take up animating as well. Thank you Ross, although these are taxing on both you and all your friends you have become an inspiration to me.

How to food:
I feel like there's a whole community of animators who could genuinely and efficiently smash out a short film or series. Apart from funding, project management needs, and creative control, I'm really curious (and no hate, just curious.) why this group of people don't just make something together? I'm glad this content is getting paid, I'd just love to see a serious animation done, even as an animation jam.
Because that's a lot more time consuming and expensive than 11 hours. Sponsored videos generally have a pretty tight turn around. I do get what you're saying though, eventually we'll get there. Just takes a lot more time and resources.
