The shrimp put his blood sweat and tears into that fried rice 😢
and the rest of its body
And himself
And his soul too
So you’re telling me a shrimp fried this rice?

RIP Shrimp Chef, you will be missed.
He cooked. He really did cook.
LoL
First animation was COOKING
Someone cooked here

20:37 thank you guys very much for the nice comments and being so hyped up about my animation! And i agree fully with the "beats" critique since i was thinking the same thing when it was finished. A reason why that is because this animation never started with being a short in mind. It started with just doing 1 shot that grew unplanned into what you see now😂
it was a single shot?!
@@thegetrktshowThe original plan was to just do the hand to hand part after he gets up from being slammed into the table. I added the him getting up from the table later, it was originally planned to be just a hand to hand animation test XD
its you! no joke, that was short was next level! its honestly crazy to me that you didn't plan that out, i genuinely would've thought this was a teaser for an actual movie
That Animation was freakin smooth
Bro, you did SUCH a great job! My one note that I would give would be to play with sound design some more. The physical actions with the animations are there, but they didn’t have as much impact as they could’ve because (similar to the whole monotony of the rhythm thing) the punches SOUNDED flat. Because the sounds were so weak, the punches felt weak to watch, even though they looked like they would hurt. Sound can elevate your animations to the next level, so I would ABSOLUTELY look into playing around with that more!
I was the singer around 33:05! That's a song me and my band over at Dead Orchids put together, hopefully we'll have that one out soon ♥ Awesome that this animation got checked out!
AYO, mine was at 31:06! Thank you so much for watching my film, Ross, there were tons of great stuff from a bunch of talented animators in the stream 😊
Thanks for showcasing and reacting to my animation at 06:55. This was an animation I made back in 2009 but recently got around to “editing” it since I’ve been sitting on it for so long. Pivot is a great way to get started with basic 2D animation and I highly recommend it to those looking to start out. I unfortunately don’t make animations anymore, as my last one was in 2013ish, but I still enjoy making content regardless. Again, thank you for showcasing my work!
it was so 2009 its unreal. thank you for sharing, it took me back
I've always enjoyed old 2007 to 2011ish YT and still try to capture that feel even to this day. I am glad you enjoyed my clip and it was an honor to be featured along side so many other talented animators.
I made The Exam!! Thanks for watching my little video!!
You have made an AWESOME animation, keep going ^^
And also I hope you're ok
Is the Creature a representation of some kind of Mental thing ?
Like the effects of Despair on the mind ? Or something ?
Dude, it was so well done. Great job
What software did you use to make The Exam?
o7 to the Shrimp Chef
_Being the first animation, that was the last thing I expected when clicking on this video just to be seeing what I’ve saw…_

37:50 Thanks for reacting to "Heart and Soul!" You might've missed it, but that was a one week minifilm, so we had some technical issues. Thanks so much for being kind about it being unfinished!
32:30 Don't know if this was intentional or not. But I love that the bowling split (the 2 far apart pins) kinda mirrored the guy's horns.
It wasn’t, but that’s a very funny coincidence 😂
@@ticlastudios The great animation was definitely no coincidence though! Super well done! Keep up the good work! :)
24:50 I think the animation is meant to represent Anxiety. The Red lines being unnecessary connections between action and potential consequence and the devious villain being anxiety itself. The one at the computer could be mentally tuning out. When the villain flicks the clock, it might be symbolising that whatever they need to do is upon them, and the noodle arms are trapping them, preventing their escape. In this case, because of the title, I believe it is an exam.
Breaking out in hives or Eczema is a common symptom of anxiety, and that typically turns your skin pink. Code pink is also a nickname for Defcon 0, an immediate and extremely dangerous threat.
I'm probably missing something, but ig if anyone has any input, they can add to my ramblings.
I think its either anxiety or hives (couse of the red spots that like grows on the skin) i dont really know the symptoms of hives. I learned from jaiden animations so i could be wrong…
39:49 I was the one that made this! Thank you so so so much for reviewing my animation! It seriously made my night ;;w;; it was my very first animation, I had never done it before until this point. I am really hoping to make some more someday and see where I go with it! Thank you again, dude!
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I had my buddy, @Wil_Works, edit the video for me >w< Wanna thank him as well
it is WILD to see an animation from one of my classmates in the thumbnail, Jay is such an awesome animator!
NO THE AHRIMP SEWER SLIDE 😭😭😭
Shrimp: about to jump
That one guy in the chat: DO A FLIP
The first animation changed me as a person I now understand everything and the depth or that animation I will never be the same my mind has transcend the mortal realm
that was actually a really good point about the Looper stuff. Ross is so good at entertaining and educating at the same time.
24:00 ish - about action scene rhythm... There is something I like to do (which I haven't animated in like 25 years so sue me) with robot characters is to have them always move on beat, with everything else being off-beat.
This is a great idea for a video series, and I hope to see more of it in the future! I learned a lot about animation, you get to showcase some lesser known animators and grow their audiences, and the examples you came up with were really helpful and intuitive! I especially liked the Looper one because that showed a live action example of the exact animation principle you were trying to get across, and I think a lot of people who watch this video will have things like that pop into their heads when they're working on a project for years to come.

31:00 I love how someone said "Love the details, Telepurte" xD
5:48 Is that one of the moments there the editing software just spontaneously corrupts some footage?
So it’s not just me
The 2 seconds of void before RubberRoss jumpscare really got me at the beginning of the video
The Bowling one is Beyblade as all hell i love it
This video type is great! I love to see yall supporting up-and-coming animators
37:37 Buck Fumble? This whole time I thought it was Buck Bumble.
Omg, telepurte is the mvp for this stream, always having a demonstration to go along with his advice and stuff, and always having something to add. Wonderful stuff.
14:23 - Quick note: If the screw is a typical, right-handed threading, this rotation would be loosening it, not tightening it. Not wrong, but good to keep in mind.
16:14 - I'm coming from a physics background and what you're describing here is related to decomposing the movement in 2-dimensions along perpendicular axes, or "trajectory decomposition", (for anyone who has taken a Physics 101 or 102 course at university, this is what you were doing with the sines and cosines). Essentially, all motion can be broken down into a set of 2 (or 3, if you're in 3D) "equations of motion" which set all of the external forces equal to the product of the object's mass times it acceleration (this is F = ma for all familiar). Acceleration is the "change in the change in the position" of an object, which can be expressed as a second-derivative, (F = m*d^2x/dt^2), which you can integrate twice to get a function for the position of an object. This "easing" is taking snapshots of this function, called the object's "trajectory". So if you can simulate forces (ie. you have a physics engine), you can do numerical integration to figure out this trajectory, then you can take "time slices" or "snapshots" to show discrete motion. This is what video game engines do when they deliver 60 frames every second to your monitor. They're solving this double-integration for each time-step and moving the rigged pieces forward by the resulting amount, so you get realistic-looking motion. The hard part is figuring out all what all of those external forces should be, since they also change every time-step.
Anyway, I forget why I brought this up... If you want to know more about the physics, you can look up "Newtonian Mechanics" for the introduction to solving these sorts of equations or "Lagrangian/Hamiltonian Mechanics" to learn how to do a similar thing, but with the total energy an object has, instead of forces, (this may actually be how some game engines work, since knowing something's energy is typically a bit easier than knowing the external forces working on it. Idk, unfortunately, since I work in physics, not computer graphics. Sorry!).
Keywords: energy, Newtonian/Lagrangian/Hamiltonian mechanics, trajectory
Hell yeah. Would love to see more of this type of content
Who let the shrimp cook??
Absolutrly loved it, hope you'll do more of this
These are very helpful and great for showcasing artists. Please keep doing these, i might even submit some old student work 🤟🏽
I love the comment that said "YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO SHRIMP FOR!!" 🤣🤣
This video is awesome. I hope there will be more stuff like this regarding animation because i learned a lot of stuff about art in similar way
Oh I am SO down for this being a constant series!
I make my animations in PowerPoint.
This proves that humans like more simplistic goofy things even in art. You see how fast the shrimp passed?
This is so cool! I'm looking forward to see more, I'm learning so much from this!
I just started learning animation and it was actually very useful to me, lots of tips and helps to learn more :) thank you for this kind of content! Deserved a sub :))
Learning tips and lessons from the animation gang while also reviewing other people's animation is so satisfying. I can't wait for them to do this again.
I learn so much in this video!! I need more of this
this is a great video! super cool to see so many people's work, and getting to learn along the way! tele is a great teacher!
23:09, i think their intention was that exactly, they were most likely portraying the “enforcer robot” as just doing monotone attacks and giving the green one more fluid attacks, giving it more life, which just shows in contrast to the “enforcer robot” because those monotone attacks show how they’re only following a directive and will only follow it no matter what
Always love seeing videos about animation education!
i learned a lot from this and as someone who is interested in learning animation this gives me more motivation to practice
I'm a Studying concept artist right now, and the only reason I'm even capable of animation is because of you and your videos lol. This was really fun, and I learnt something, thank you!
starting to study animation, and this info is unvaluable
Genuinely, thus was a great video. I learned a lot and hope you do more dude
Please do more of these! These are so helpful to watch and learn from! Love your work Ross! 🫶
"YOU'RE TELLING ME A SHRIMP FRIED THIS RICE"
Tf2 Demoman
This was a lot of fun and learned some things. Looking forward to more!
I love that you brought up Looper! It’s such a good example of cinematic story telling!
Dang, so you're saying I could've had my art seen by the Rubber of Ross himself...
Either way, great video as always! Glad to see other artists get recognized!
Telepurte is such a fantastic teacher he was so helpful!
He really is! 😊
Little did everyone know, Ross has been considering starting an animation team, and this is the first round of recruitment👀
I have always wanted to get into animation so this was really helpful
3 giants together and giving free art advice? hell yeah
Man i totally missed this! 😭 i would have sent in my first ever animation which is a lip sync. Super fun and informative! Im on my last year now studying animation so this was a very entertaining refresher and also a good way to work those analyzing muscles >:)
The shrimp one truly gave me a spiritual awakening
This was so informative! Thank you!
~ 23:17 I remember hearing about rhythm in fight choreography. I would recommend Cake Station's video from about 6 years ago "RWBY just isn't the same: the pillars of Monty Oum" for more on that, plus the other videos Cake station made later on the same subject
the RWBY trailers literally changed my brain chemistry and i always imagine fight scenes like music videos
39:30 Oh my god that's the most useful tip I've seen about drawing hands. :D
this motivated me to work on some animation practice. Thanks Ross!
27:54 is a really cool part in the video
Bro, that pivot bit.. brought me back in time man. I am no animator, but I played around so much with that tool. I remember playing my pivot animation for my folks and because I didn't know how to record it properly to add sound, I just put the music I wanted in the background and just tried to sync the animation. Good ol times.
I learned more animation tips from this video 👍
All those animations look amazing, especially the shrimp one. RIP 😔
Where can I find out about this if you do another one in the future? I'd love to find out ahead of time as hearing critique from such incredible artists would really help I think!
5:48 glitched in case you might want to fix that later ~
“Don’t use free transform”
Ross: Did that last night fr fr
The stickman animation reminded me of when I was a child I got to use the same program in my elementary computer lab. We had to make at least one animation with movement. I made two stickmen do the Thriller dance and my teacher was impressed by it and called other kids to see. That was the day I feel in love with animation and made artist friends.
Always wondered what was the song you used in your old videos' intro
This was an amazing video, love it !
30:22 the swiftness in which telepurte drew these is amazing, it would probably 3 mins just to draw that😅
I would really enjoy watching Pootis Engage and Pootis Engage Extreme on this series. So many entertaining animation ideas thrown around in it.
33:06 IS THAT MISS ME?! LETS GOOOO ADRENALINE DUBS, WHAT THE FUCK IS A BAD DUB
Please do another one of these!!!
So sad i missed entries. I just did my first bouncing ball in blender about a week ago while rewatching your gartic content!
that shrimp made me cry irl :(
I wish I'd known about this. I'd love to see a second one of these so that I could submit one of my own animations.
The his is legit a fun set of potential future creators out there
If the second one was a show I would totally watch it
the shrimp one was so poetic it deserves a price
Telepurte?, thats a name i havent heard in a long time.
I’ve always wanted to do animation but I just don’t have the time but I really want to make a series
That second one....... I'm interested, Looks good. PvP as a Plot point as Entertainment sounds like .hack//G.U or a Game based Anime with PvP Tournament
I would like to join in submitting my animations for a possibility of being featured on the stream. Is there any upcoming events like this? And where would I hang out to know about it in time?
Wonder how did i miss this opportunity to show you guys my animations
Ah yes rosses 5 minute nerdy yap sesh about animation. Truly is the best!
The persona music was the perfect background addition. Thank you freddy five nights.
Expansion on the arc explination at the end. This truth is due to foreshortening. The small edges LOOK small but they are the same length as the sides we see dead on. So they are CONDENSED to our eye and that is why there are MORE frames in what feels like a smaller space :3 I LOVE foreshortening
I hope they do this again soon because I would want to enter so bad
1:40 I love that we have the same recommendation!! It gives me hope that I'll be a good artist and animator one day. 🥰😊🙂
this video should be subtitled "Tele gives animation tips"
That 20 bucks one is GREAT
14:41 - Chill Breath of Fire 4 music to relax to. Good choice Ross. :P
Looking forward to the playthrough, I would have preferred Breath of Fire 3, but I'll take BoF4.
I got recommended “I taught a shrimp how to fry rice” immediately after watching this lol 🤑🤑🤑🤑
Oh my goodness. I'm sad I missed this. Please do this again sometime! :D
Wonderful tips, always welcomed
Thank - you - so - much - for - all - this - priceless - animation - advice! So many answered questions!
