Hey Buckin. I ran a ported 562 for a long time. I log in western Massachusetts. I did a logging job and split all the fire wood for the job for the costumer who is a retired logger. He gave me a 462 Stihl as extra payment. Put a muffler on it and it is my favorite saw I ever ran. I get the impression you’re testing lighter saws cause your shoulder is giving you problems. Revisit that saw. It’s similar weight to the 562 but more power. You tested one before. Thanks for all you do. Love you buddy.
Vartan you truly have made a great difference in my life for the content Buckin brings. Sawing is a peace I've never known in any other task and the content Buckin does offer has boosted my ability and confidence in sawing . (I even daydream about it at work)😊 Thank you Buckin and Vartan.
A Shout out to VARTAN!! thanks for letting us dive in to your property and let Buckin make some content!!! Thanks Buckin for your great side by side shots...good stuff brother!!
Love your knowledge, kindness and message of peace feller! I’ve been watching your vids since I really started collecting and using old axes and mccullochs! Keep being a positive influence brother. Much love.
I'm in Australia and summer is just over. I've hafted a couple of old axe heads and am slowly heading for the wood pile getting ready for winter and a nice old fire in our bedroom.
Priceless content Buckin, your strong positive force attracts wonderful play grounds like Vartan's , thanks for passing on the blessing to us. I never thought to try starting up my Huskys cold without priming the bulb, I forever think of you every time I touch up chains. I work with my local arborist as his ground man he's always impressed after I sharpen his chains(good practice for me), I tell him every thing I learned is from your sharpening videos, he looks at me with wonder. Thank you.
It makes sense to me that the full house chain is faster in the cut than the skip tooth chain because of one simple reason: there are more cutting teeth in the full house chain. To me, the best reason to run a skip tooth chain would be if your saw is slightly underpowered for the length of bar/ size of wood.
That saw continues to impress! Vartan what a good friend you are allowing us to see and learn. if I was close enough a handshake and a hug would be in order my friend. ♥️👍
I haven't had very many problems with the Husqvarna saw mounts. I have replaced the mounts on an old Sthil ms 361 before after my son roughed it up pretty good!🤣😂 I am just a firewood cutter & I have learned from watching you to be gentle on my saws. Keep the chain sharp is a big thing! Goooo Buckin!!
Definitely gonna grab me a hoodie a saw like that would be an awesome replacement from my rancher..thanks for the videos and the opportunity this Channel has helped me through more than most will ever know
Buckin my friend theses days people are looking for good workers at places and hard to get ones that have a work ethics showing people that you do it make your life better keep being the good person you are and keep smiling my friend
Thanks for this info Buckin🙏🏾it’s so helpful for me. I’m getting super dialed in on my saws and chains like I never have because of your help man🙏🏾thanks again heal up. Try putting some collagen peptides from primal kitchen in your morning coffee. It’s been helping me with my body, feeling better. Gives you some soft skin too, you might not want that lol
Love your videos. I watch them every day and just love them for Georgia. I sure hope I win that saw I could really use it here. You’re a great guy with a very good heart friend. God bless you and your family. And yes please be kind. Thank you for giving us something g to look forward to watching. Good clean content friend. Take care Big Kevin Georgia Boy
Oh man, play more of that song with that harmonica, had me bouncing in my seat 🤣. Used new conditioner on my buckin belts, not as greasy like snow seal, going to put on hunting boots, you could have a winner 🏆
Just slapped a 28"light on the 362 this afternoon gotta keep that back straight 👍 I'm telling ya I heard that f150 smoke tires all the way to walkers saw shop Billy and I'm over down in NY hahaaaaa
A small word of caution, my bro has a 362 and when we ran a 26" bar it ran well but after a while it wouldn't start. when we took it to the dealer the mech. said the computer shut it down due to too much torque and that bar is too much. I don't know much more than that and am wondering how Buckin's doesn't die as well.
@@madreamer that's a very good point. I know not to try and overwork it with that length bar I have bigger saws for heavier duty I just love not bending over nearly as much. I do thank you for you're input buddy 👍👍👍
Dear Sir, Please explain more fully how a skip tooth chain might perform better after being rocked, hitting a nail, or barbed wire than a full comp. I replayed your reason several times and still I am in a quandary. Thank you for your great content. Peace and happiness (maybe even some giggles).
I believe the point he was trying to get across was that if you hit rock wire or metal, it will be faster to file the skip tooth chain than to file the full house
whipity whip krakalaka jak....! Oh my goodness I laughed so hard! I'm lazy and am one who deosn't enjoy tool conditioning and cleaning like I really should. That's why I appreciate the skip: whipity whip!
My Echo backpack blower has a fuel bulb on it like those saws. Priming or not priming the bulb makes no difference in how it starts. 3-4 pulls in choke, take off the choke and it fires right up every time. Seems like an unnecessary weak point in the fuel delivery system to me.
I see/want a shirt that just says smoothidity in quotes on the back across the shoulders. “Smoothidity”. And a little circle or rectangle on the front made from the letters “BBR” over the heart. Long Live Vartan! (Sp?)
Looking forward to Donny porting that 562 for you Buckin’. I also look forward to comparison cuts between the Husqvarna 562 Mark II & the STIHL MS 361.
Bottom line it’s called science .and you and your buddy get something out of it he gets a trail and you get content and you show what really work s and don’t it’s called a win win 😎
you ran that side by side test slightly more aggressive on the left video. You also would be surprised if you swapped exhausts on the same saw. Every pipe has slightly different characteristics I know you know that. I love the look of the rams horn but the pretzel or the other one might be better for that particular thing you’re trying to compare. I believe the only way to truly run a test is to drop the saw on the log and hover your left hand on the handle and do not rock it. Let the saw cut because 1 ounce of rocking up or down pressure can change the cut. That’s the only way you can make the test fair. I take my rakers down on my 585 and I can rip through a log with the right amount of pressure. Too much and I bind it, not enough and it’s not cutting like I know it can.
Lets be honest - 1st of all there is full comp vs skip comparison. But 2nd there is the time to resharpen each chain also. And 3rd is price. I say this with love people. It is what it is. Tyvm @buckinbillyray

The only problem is he already has a 500i so there's no need to get a smaller cc saw that weighs more
the saw was a gift from Husqvarna. timing was great wasnt it
@@brianallen1205
Ways more than what? The 500i? The weight difference between the 562 and the 462 is negligible

How much do you have to spend for an entry, I heard it other day and don't remember and can't find which video it was in.
Nice to see you again. I can see your breath. No worries give her hell.
Good video today. Very entertaining
Billy, I'm doing better with my filing but why don't my files last more than 5 or 6 sharpenings? Be safe
Another great video. Thank you

If there was a chain better than every other chains at everything, it would be the one everyone uses.. I think...

Maybe someone should write a Buckin' dictionary. Now, wouldn't that ruin the Scrabble players!
I know nobody reads this, but, I never left my initials, I left a reclining chair and bench I made at every job… 20+ years of doing that.
