Thank you for sharing your revised mounting system. Having a 4BT in my LC, I'm well aware that diesels vibrate. Doesn't it keep you from grinding the starter by mistake because you forgot it's running? Had a JB-Weld (epoxy) oil pan repair last at least 30 years leak-free on a gasoline V-8.
No one likes starter grind that's for sure. What engine mounts are you using for your setup? I found vw passat mounts too soft, and these hydraulic corvette mounts a little to harsh.
I have hydraulic (fluid-filled) mounts resembling the Anchor 2859. Searching for info about 4BT mounting leads me to think that hardness/softness of the mount is less important than position. Published tech info indicates mounts should be at the midpoint of the engine, above the crankshaft centerline and at a 45 degree angle. They should reduce vibration the most at your cruising RPM. Maybe your Corvette mounts would work better in a different position?
Its been great! I drive it everyday to work, just moved homes by hauling a 2000lbs trailer loaded with stuff, and drive it offroad almost every other weekend!

@@edwardhawran9406 very good point! I will research more about mounting location. Thanks!
DMZ off-road makes weld-on reinforcements for the stock mounts
How is it driving now?

Why did you stop making videos on this? Do you still have it?
I'm daily driving it so i don't have much room for error when comes to vehicle downtime so I haven't modified it since this video
