This 100% ! Most people who have never been in a crash that would be considered moderate-serious remembers the SHOCK they got when they first realized the actual amount of power and energy involved in the moment. Whatever I imagined it would feel like was immediately discarded for something much more scary of a realization. It can be absolutely brutal even at speeds 35mph or 40mph you can easily die or survive with life altering & permeant disabilities. Leo, I agree with you that the Tundra did much better. There wasn't as much distinction between the Ford and Chevy. We can all agree the Dodge was the undisputed looser. I'm a Ford guy and was rooting for the Ford but I have to call it like I see it.
Chuck, the only concession I'll make concerning Dodge is that they are cheaper (and a slightly better MPG over Ford in the heavy duty line). For me cheaper does not equate to better. I'll respect your opinion but please forgive the uncontrollable laughter.
In my opinion based on the after math of each crash from watching this video from 1 to 4, this is how it went: Ford- body absorbed a ton of impact and overall held together the best. Only problem I had was the excessive amount of plastic/tin exploding off of the truck Chevy- did rather well, did notice some major cab/box whip which is somewhat unsettling. Toyota- took the entire collision in a heap, not impressed with the results, the driver side frame squished in really badly, would not buy this truck. Dodge- Not much good about this test of the Dodge. It has a very nice austetic appeal, but that won't do you any good when you get crushed like a pop can in a head on collision. Dodge is a very big name in the auto industry and seeing the body and frame totally giving way is not something Dodge Ram will want on their resume. I made sure to leave out any byasis because it makes no sense to try and lie about something that is literally in video evidence. (Now to face mass hate?)
All of y’all hating on the ram but the thing is, ram drivers actually know how to drive and don’t get into these kind of accidents often, and the other companies have this safety because this shit happens all the fucking time.

I love the self ejecting Toyota logo at 3:10 FLY YOU FOOL! The sad thing is they only test these at 40mph. So what's "marginal" at 40mph is probably fatal at 80mph. Plus, Prius and Subaru is safer than all of these 6,000lb rolling piles of metal. If you're buying it because you simply want a pickup, that's fine. But I've known so many people that buy big suburbans and crew cabs to keep their family safe, when they're actually endangering them. Irony
No buddy. First body structure has nothing to do with safety. Howeber, remember the objects they are hitting are dead weight, and have no movement. Damage is less when hitting a moving object. Also, just to let you know... Safety matters are chassis and interior safety/movement. You can crush the front end of your truck how badly you want... But the chassis most get damaged in order to call it a "no safe car" Plus these new trucks are aluminum body. Obviously they'll take abuse to a steel standstill wall. You get a prius and I'll pick any of these trucks and you'll be flying 100 feet away, rolling around in that plastic Japanese garbage.
I would like to see vehicles crashed against a collapsible barrier , like another car. How often would vehicles crash against an immovable object? Trying to get a 6,00 pound vehicle to absorb its own energy is misleading.
But say your in your prius and you get T boned by a truck going 60mph, your in pretty bad shape or possibly dead because 6000 pounds is slamming into your side driving 60mph while your 3600 pound car is thrown off the road like a toy. But say it was vice versa, your 3600lb car T bones a truck going 60mph, the truck is going to move of course, but for your car its like hitting a brick wall
+Jake Morris And I totally agree with you. Of course if a Prius hits you, you will feel it. Funny enough couple days ago I saw a 2003 Ford Expedition and a Tesla Model S collide. Let's just say the Tesla didn't make it. I got out of my car to help... I know we're talking Prius and trucks right here but it still relates in some ways. All I can say is although Japanese cars are one of the most reliable cars, but for safety matters forget it. I would love to crush a Prius all day long in a Ford F650. Yes, the huge one.
The Tundra performed best in my opinion. Pay attention to the roof and how far the impact continues beyond the firewall. The Dodge just kept on crumpling.
That would be very interesting to see how the bed and frame would react. As Nick said...they likely wouldn't test that but it sure would be good to know.
Wow, the Silverado and Ram look scary. I mean damn the door damn near came off and the dummy had skull collision with the pillar on the Silverado. Ill take the ford.
Great job on the video! The Dodge Ram clearly had the worst rating due to the deformation and intrusion into the cab! The driver had major lower injuries along with possible chest injuries due to the steering column is twisted and pushed into the driver.
Compared to the other trucks and there light bodies the tundra hit that wall with so much more force 😂 I laughed so hard it hits the barricade like a tsunami
We need better fuel doors all trucks in this video upon impact the gas cap stayed intact however the cover over the gas cap flew open. Gas is very expensive these days and if I crashed my truck I would salvage the gas. The last thing I need is the possibility of losing all that gas because of a flimsy fuel door
That's a freak'n harsh hit. I don't care what truck you're in, you hit something that replicates that, you're going to the hospital. Truck's going to the graveyard and BINGO! you're getting a new truck; albeit with a scooter/wheelchair lift/carrier.
Still a shitty truck for years. Decades of complete ass. Shit 5.4 for years. Underpowered 4.6. Finally got smart and stuck a decent motor in their shitty trucks. Their newer F150’s and diesels aren’t bad though.
Well i mean when the dodge brothers first started their cars were built on ford frames for the first couple years, so i believe (and correct me if im wrong) so from 1914 to 1916
Never heard that before. But when Henry Ford started bad mouthing the Dodge Brothers, he was taken to court, where he admitted to using some of their drive trains in his own vehicles.
Al Cyr The reason the dodge brothers left ford is because they saw henry making all the profit on something they knew they could do too, so thats when they started making cars but they bought ford frames because they just started out and didnt have all the necessary tools to build frames
How did the toyota do better than the Chevy? Compare the degree to which the doorframes are bent, shows how the driver zone was intruded less on the Chevy.
1st Ford F-150 2nd Toyota Tundra (Im really impressed) 3rd Silverado (Was kinda disappointed but still very good) 4th Ram (Was bad especially for a huge truck like that, even the Tundra did better, still a safe truck tho)
All the vehicles were destroyed because they ran into a fucking wall. All equally dangerous to be in during a crash. And have you seen how many fords on the side of the road?
Avion Smith Newer models might be better at high speed crash tests, but fender benders usually go pretty bad for new cars, but older cars dont seem to fare too bad
The F-150 frame seemed to shatter more than the rest, but it didn't fly out to the side like the Silverado, and the wall definitely stopped at a far more comfortable distance from the cab.
Jbob18, exactly how did Toyota "win"? They got acceptable which isn't bad but Ford got good, which is not only better than Toyota, but the BEST rating out of them all. IIHS made the Ford Supercrew and Supercab their top picks.
WinterForce Fire, of course the impact from any of these collisions could be deadly, I certainly am not disputing that and really not sure how that is relevant to any of our posts. I simply stated that the Ford received the best rating yet somehow you believe Toyota "won". IIHS bases their ratings on how well the vehicle handles the impact and likelyhood of damage to the driver and the Ford did the best in those aspects, better than Toyota, which means Toyota did not win. Truthfully, I like both the Ford and Toyota trucks better than any of the others and I consider either one a quality vehicle, so I don't have a grudge against either. However, if I were to buy one based solely on the IIHS crash data, it would have to be Ford.
If you can't Dodge the wall, RAM it.
Holy shit ! this makes me laugh all day long.

Fact is: Ford is the ONLY pick up with a good rating, and Dodge is tied for last with a Marginal rating. Your opinion does not matter in this case.
I thought the F-150 would be the worst due to the aluminum body, but I was positively surprised. being an owner of one I'm glad it's pretty good
Emanuel Alvarez aluminum probably helps it in a sense that you don't have the weight of a steel bed/etc to slow down.
SECURITY OFFICER TRAINING CHANNEL youd think the ford would peel like the dodge
They used the weight savings from the aluminum body to beef up the frame. That along with the crumple zones makes all the difference.

FLY YOU FOOL!
+Art Mustang you are amazing
Got to love Bram Stoker's Dracula music 👿
Thank you ! :D
I cant play BeamNG on my phone so I'll watch these instead
HA I PLAY ON NY PC. Jk bro i wish you could play
Whooo!! Australia represent!! (Ford Ranger)
No America not Australia by the way just say America or not 🤔
i feel the music fits so well in this😂
The Tundra performed best in my opinion. Pay attention to the roof and how far the impact continues beyond the firewall. The Dodge just kept on crumpling.
3:10 funny how perfectly the emblem popped off. Only dummies are people that would own a dodge after seeing this
That's a Toyota
@@kylehurling68 I know the emblem was from Toyota. I only stated about the dodge because that did the worst in the crash
2016 RAM is a joke
they've been the most unreliable from day 1
+guy proulx you know why there's barely any dodges in the junkyard? Because they're still on the road today.
Well, I suppose the side of the road *is* the road...
Mr. Mopar you don't see many in junkyards because they've already been recycled
redrobin41 good one lol
This test is brutal😎
Well I was gonna plow my 2017 ram into a concrete block at 60 mph but this video has opened my eyes thank you
Dodge has always had a horrible safety rating for their trucks.
I want to see a crash test with these trucks towing at least half of their rated payload.
That's not a bad idea
IIHS doesnt test that.
I want to see no seat belts.
👍
That would be very interesting to see how the bed and frame would react. As Nick said...they likely wouldn't test that but it sure would be good to know.
Dam that just hurts like hell just watching these trucks hit hard. Wow
I can't remember how many times I've run into a wall like this? LOL!
I like the post-impact cargo dump & shut feature of the Chevy's tailgate.
And 200ft away from the crash we find a Toyota emblem.
Wow, the Silverado and Ram look scary. I mean damn the door damn near came off and the dummy had skull collision with the pillar on the Silverado. Ill take the ford.
Aluminum ford holding up better than all
Great job on the video!
It litterally makes the camera shake 😂
We need better fuel doors all trucks in this video upon impact the gas cap stayed intact however the cover over the gas cap flew open. Gas is very expensive these days and if I crashed my truck I would salvage the gas. The last thing I need is the possibility of losing all that gas because of a flimsy fuel door
Brayden Norwood Now I don’t know much about this, but I’d imagine that the salvage yards would remove the fuel from all vehicles.
I’d say the damage to the car may be a bigger problem for your account
Whatever you say, Mad Max.
Ford F-150 is my favorite truck.
gay
@@ApimpNamedSlickBack663 pussy
The best
Tyler Johnson I guess you are a rainbow flag waver lol..
That's a freak'n harsh hit. I don't care what truck you're in, you hit something that replicates that, you're going to the hospital. Truck's going to the graveyard and BINGO! you're getting a new truck; albeit with a scooter/wheelchair lift/carrier.
William Crews like fr though these safety ratings at pointless in a situation like this you and your truck is fucked
Of ur in a dodge goodbye knees
If you have a crash like that, then you dead
It’s best if companies test the worst case scenario, like in this video, to better understand the durability among other each others.
Thanks for the post
2:22 I just wanna know why tf is the horn working 😂😂
it’s cuz the truck is pissed
Ford F-150 got the best rating no surprise
leeleelee its built ford tough....
Still a shitty truck for years. Decades of complete ass. Shit 5.4 for years. Underpowered 4.6. Finally got smart and stuck a decent motor in their shitty trucks. Their newer F150’s and diesels aren’t bad though.
Casey Young Nah Yor opinion is just off by a lot Bruv..
BadAce Shelby12 Your shitty English is off.
leeleelee Chevy's are way better
Tundras airbag response is phenomenal
Just as fast as the Chevy and Ram
1) Chevy
2) Ford
3) Toyota
4) Dodge
R.I.P Toyota Tundra 😢
(Sound beep)
Bro the sound of the tundra when it hit 😮
Ford did good on a crash test and with cars that weren't on Volvo platforms for the first time in their life they got it right
Ram and Chevy still the little brother to ford.
yep
Well i mean when the dodge brothers first started their cars were built on ford frames for the first couple years, so i believe (and correct me if im wrong) so from 1914 to 1916
always will be
Never heard that before.
Wow as new ram owner, I wish I didn't see this. I love my ram but might head down to Chevy for a trade in after watching this painful video :'(
Lol the rams headlight went flying
Dodge one wreck with us and you will never come back ! Or is that walk back ? LOL!!
a thought ford chevy and Toyota were good but dodge just sucked! I will never ride in one of those death traps!
How did the toyota do better than the Chevy? Compare the degree to which the doorframes are bent, shows how the driver zone was intruded less on the Chevy.
Man the Toyota held up better than every truck!
Well the ram and toyota
This isn't s beauty contest though, so..... The Ford did the best according to IIHS
i have a 16 silverado but the professionals gave Ford the only good rating.
The amount of intrusion with the Dodge is insane.
Just compare Ford 0:18 to Chevy 1:14. What one would you rather be in?
Ford or toyota look safest
Yeah, That dodge was scary.
chevy
Ford, now im not saying it cause im a Ford guy, im saying it because it earned a top pick
skip michaels Toyota for sure
even the aluminium ford is more safe than the dodge smh
I love the aluminum body F-150.
1st Ford F-150
2nd Toyota Tundra (Im really impressed)
3rd Silverado (Was kinda disappointed but still very good)
4th Ram (Was bad especially for a huge truck like that, even the Tundra did better, still a safe truck tho)
I can fix it! My Dad's a t.v. repair man. He's got this awesome set of tools!
1 ford f150 👍
2 toyota tundra 👍
3 Chevy whatever 😓
4 Dodge Ram 🗣💦😷
basel pc silverado purete
I thought the Toyota did better than the f150 but other than that I agree
Dodge doesn’t make rams anymore
CHEZ MAN ARE U SURE ABOUT THAT?
All the vehicles were destroyed because they ran into a fucking wall. All equally dangerous to be in during a crash. And have you seen how many fords on the side of the road?
i love how people hate on the alluminum body of F150 but its the safest one and does better then the steel Chevy's and RAM's.
I'd feel safer in a old truck
Well you'd be wrong
+alex Gonzalez had the experience, I was fine. But thanks
Same here man, i feel safer with steel bumpers infront of me instead of plastic
Avion Smith Newer models might be better at high speed crash tests, but fender benders usually go pretty bad for new cars, but older cars dont seem to fare too bad
Go look up the crash tests of older trucks. Before around 2004, they all failed miserably. Newer trucks are safer, that's just a fact.
is this how beamng got inspired?
this video is beautiful I'm in tears
The F-150 frame seemed to shatter more than the rest, but it didn't fly out to the side like the Silverado, and the wall definitely stopped at a far more comfortable distance from the cab.
Toyota won Ram lost
Jbob18 for sure man, Toyota did good.
Jbob18, exactly how did Toyota "win"? They got acceptable which isn't bad but Ford got good, which is not only better than Toyota, but the BEST rating out of them all. IIHS made the Ford Supercrew and Supercab their top picks.
Jack Arup also need to take in account reality the impact from all of these could still kill someone
I don't think a Toy Yoda could save you from that but a ram would do so much better even though both could still kill you
I think Ford does well everywhere. Great job Ford.
The chevy killed the guy same with dodge Toyota and ford are the best
I agree thee whole dash caved in and it the driver of the dodge and most of the trucks roofs bent whule the tundra didnt or it was minimal
That is true, ford is best than chevy
😂😂😂 Ford is best then Chevy haha.
The Chevy did fine ram sucks
Jbob18 obviously Ford was good. Ford's were made to crash.
That was me after a couple of beers
And now I’m officially terrified to be driving my 13 Ram fml
