Hey girls. You can get a window washing tool with a magnet to wash the outside windows. Works! For this size, this apartment probably worth 2300 Canadian or 1600 USD
The blue plastic wrap is meant to be peeled off before you use the cooker lol... It's there to protect the chrome during transportation and it's blue to show any scratches/dents they may have occurred
Get a kitchen countertop water filter system, a good one is only about 200 RMB. It's economical and healthier than plastic bottles of water. The filter system is easy to install, just connect the tube to the kitchen sink's water tap. Costs only about 20 RMB per month for the replacement filter, this can save a lot of money with long term use.

Lizzy is in Kunming, that city apartments like this for much less, about 1000 to 1500 RMB per month. Lizzy was living in one until she bought her own place.
China does need a lot of English teachers. I am a college graduate and have passed the CET-4 level certification. But my English ability is only limited to reading and writing. The natural shyness of Chinese people makes it difficult for me and many people like me to communicate with foreigners freely and boldly. And Chinese people all respect teachers very much. Thank you Sons & Eri, hope you have a good time in China.
Very helpful video. Very nice apartment and environment is great. I am sure the rent in different district of Guangzhou cost different. So, it would be helpful if you can share with us of the district you live in so to give me a head start of where (which districts) to look for apartment. Very nice apartment! I just visited my daughter who lives only 45 minutes or so south of you in Dongfeng Town, Zhongshan. She lives in a 3 bedroom apartment and pays 2200 Rmb. It is a pretty nice place. Your apartment looks a little bit newer perhaps, with a bigger kitchen and newer appliances and nicer furniture, which might explain the price difference. Do you mind sharing how old the building is and how you found this apartment? My daughter is also teaching and it is interesting to compare experiences. Did you have an agency helping you find your accommodation?
Your daughter lives in Yuexiu District of Guangzhou, which is the central area of Guangzhou and also the old district of Guangzhou. The transportation is well-connected, so the rent of houses of the same quality will naturally be more expensive. You can try to let your daughter find a apartment in Baiyun District or Haizhu District of Guangzhou, which are also very good areas, but the rent will be relatively reasonable. But if she likes communities with abundant greenery, she can only choose Panyu District, which is a little far from the central city, and it takes about 30 minutes by subway. You can choose to use the beike house-hunting app, which has a good reputation. You can bargain according to the price proposed by the landlord, and let the agent help you reach the agreement. In the end, you only need to meet and sign the contract.
yes I was there in GZ 2006~8 and the price quite competitive I remember and very nice atmosphere near by... and yes if you pay usd550 per month.. quite nice (actually usd225 per person :)
