Lucy was satisfied with retirement, Aaron Spelling sought her out. She was willing to do a more modern show, but the producers.trusted Lucy's instincts. She had been on tv a long time and had no misses, Spelling figured why change what work. Watching it reminded me of later Three Stooges, seeing elderly people in slapstick is uncomfortable.
These videos are all great. I love seeing the different ways the SNL Hosts made the overall episodes worse. Like Milton Berle's outdated humor, Steven Sagal's arrogance, and Chevy Chase's behavior behind the scenes.
It’s intriguing to learn about SNL behind the scenes and how people react to hosts. (Now I’m even more ready to see the actors for Milton and Chevy in that Saturday Night movie.)
I don't feel sorry for Milton Berle at all. If you can't write new jokes or even have the capacity to understand your shtick is not funny to the audience you're playing to then you're not a comedian. It's not hard to write jokes - the hard part is performing on stage. Which he could clearly do.
I'm pretty Lyndon Johnson did the same thing as Milton Berle to assert his dominance. (Also Berle supported Johnson, though I'm not sure if that's related at all or not.)
Basically, steven segal was"The Rock"for his generation? Heard DeJay literally have contract clause protecting his characters! Anybody here wish corraborate?
That's not a fair comparison. The thing you're talking about is called an 'exclusion clause', where an actor retains the rights to any of their antics while on a live stage, which became very common after Janet Jackson accidentally showed her boob to everyone watching Superbowl 38's half-time show; it essentially says that if they do something really embarrassing, they have the right to veto its inclusion in the show going forward. Yes, it does also mean they retain their rights to any truly memorable characters they might create, but it's mostly there in case The Rock accidentally shows his butt to the camera. It's so common it was written into the SNL hosting contract, last I knew. The only person I can think of to ever use the "unique characters" part is actually Tom Hanks, for his David Pumpkins character, I don't really think The Rock is super-interested in making sure he retains the right to his "molester robot inventor" character. Also, wtf are you talking about. I'm not saying The Rock is a perfect person or anything but the biggest controversy I could find about him was that he sometimes shows up late on set, he's a friggin' national treasure at this point.
@@danielgehring7437. Sure with digging, some dirt about him could get unesrthed too. Was saying, because these ridiculous demand types been right into the rock's alley!
He’s only done three of these videos. This is just a compilation of the SNL works he’s done. The “worst” is just the series name. Had the series continued, I’m sure he would’ve covered some of those.
Why are all your worst picks women, bud? Also, sad to say, the series is pretty much dead. He might’ve talked about one of those people but that’s not happening.
Love your work, but do you really think a video on SNL is a idea? Seriously only like dozen people still watch the show, it’s devolved into a retirement home for has been comedians and the never where’s that make them look slightly better by comparison.
I really dont like when someone shames a youtuber for doing a harmless topic for a video. I'll let go of the fact I enjoy SNL still and just say who are you dictate what this man does with his channel?

The Three Stooges in “Brittle Boneheads”
wouldn't surprise me if they had to talk Berle out of doing a blackface skit.
'Old man has an existential crisis about his existence."
That's a little redundant.

I somehow knew this compilation video was gonna happen at some point. I don’t know how I knew, I just did.
Love the 8bit version of Tragedy in the background lol
My dad met Milton Berle and Berle insulted him
So now my dad (who liked him before) hates him 😂😂😂

The Milton Berle video was one of the first videos of yours I ever saw!
Steven Segal was not any better!
Steven segal has to be one of the saddest most pathetic people I’ve ever heard of.
I’ll bet you a dollar were not done with these bad hosts yet. I know there’s more and also bad music guests I’m guessing.

Heh. "Johnson"
You're just old. Saying SNL isn't good anymore, it just means you're old.
Yeah, as one comment I read a long t8me ago put it, no matter a person's age, they'll pretty much always say that SNL peaked when they were 12."
and I thought Elon was the worst host.
