Supernatural Season 11 Official Description:
The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester brothers continues as SUPERNATURAL enters its eleventh season. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have spent their lives on the road, battling every kind of supernatural threat. Over the years, after countless bloody adventures, they have faced everything from the yellow-eyed demon that killed their mother to vampires, ghosts, shapeshifters, angels and fallen gods. With the help of allies - both human and supernatural - they’ve discovered that every victory comes with a price. In the show’s tenth season, the Winchester brothers faced their most personal threat yet. The all-powerful Mark of Cain threatened to consume Dean, turning him into one of the monsters he has spent his life hunting. Meanwhile, a formidable witch, Rowena (Ruth Connell), rose to power to claim her position at the right hand of the King of Hell, Crowley (Mark Sheppard). Once Rowena revealed herself to be Crowley’s mother, the King was forced to choose between his family and the Winchesters. All while Sam, with the help of Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley, and some unlikely allies, wages a desperate battle to save Dean from the Mark of Cain. Will Sam be able to find a cure for the Mark in time? Will it be enough to save his brother? And a more frightening prospect - does Dean want to be saved? Chuck was God. Kripke confirmed it as did the actor who played Chuck. Even if it wasn't, anyone with half a brain would have realized Chuck was God after the season five finale.

It took God and all four archangels just to put the Darkness away. I'm sure the Winchesters will have to make some kind of uneasy alliance with Lucifer and Michael again to stop it. I'm not too sure that Gabriel and Raphael are dead, either. I fully expect all four and God to appear this season. I also think Death is not dead and we'll see him again, too. The Darkness is going to unleash the true apocalypse onto the Earth. Should be a thrilling season, for sure.

Why would Sam say everything is his fault this time around? He went to Dean with his arms open ready to be slaughtered by his brother. Their bond prevented Dean from doing so, so they TOGETHER released the Darkness because Dean wouldn't share the Mark. So, how is it possible that Sam takes the blame, yet again, when Dean was the one that said yes to the mark of Cain in the first place? THIS ALL COULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED JESUS CHRIST

+Azunel Couldn't Sam's comment be out of context in this video? Who knows what he is refering to. Maybe even not to something that we have seen yet... But in general I agree with you: Sam takes all the blame pretty easily - even without Dean constantly reminding him of previous bad choices (and on occation even ancient ones). Oddly enough, nobody seems to bother when Dean makes bad choices...

+Big Boss I kind of find it useless blaming just one of the brothers for everything, because every bad choice of both of them is just the reaction to a specific behaviour of the other one. You could even provokingly say that Dean kind of started the whole mess by selling his soul for Sam in season 2. Every choice (judged good or bad) Sam makes in seasons 3 and 4 is based on this fact. Then it's Dean's turn to react to Sam's actions and so on... What I meant to say is: they are equally to blame for most of what happend. The only difference between Sam's screw ups and Dean's is that Dean's are often more subtle than Sam's because Dean's bad choices have usually mainly personal consequences for Sam that result in Sam making bad choices. In seasons 9 and 10 it was kind of the other way around for a change. Sam's personal behaviour ended in Dean accepting the mark of cane.
Sam is the sole reason the darkness was released. If it wasn't for his secret dean would have shit the spell down

+dan14nr What I'm trying to say is, they didn't tell us anything about the darkness. I don't care if no one in the story knows anything about it, it's BAD story writing, they just invented this darkness thing cause they couldn't find a better ending to season 10. I really don't want them to screw this up, it has great potential.
+franz Or its called a surprise twist. They knew that they wanted to go through this storyline, in season 8 and 9. They waited for last episode to bring it on. Its actually called smart writing, keeping audience on der toes
+mart2077 What makes you think they've had this Darkness storyline in mind for 3 seasons? They kept adding new foes and boring storylines, from season 6 all the way to season 10. They didn't think about the Darkness when they brought up the Mark of Cain. Robert Singer even said in an interview that they started season 10 "with Dean becoming a demon, and we had to figure out what the hell to do with it". You can't call this smart writing, they don't have a bigger plan in mind, which Kripke had for the first 5 seasons resulting in them being amazing.

+Ryan Spencer Apparently it is the final season of SPN but so was Season 5 until the fans wanted it back. Honestly, as long as the fans want more and,obviously, they keep getting ideas I don't see why they would stop making this show. Some fans say that after Season 5 it got old and uninteresting but Seasons 6 to 10 have been awesome.

Also, the little blur in the top left corner in the first second or so: I saw a stills of that scene and it doesn't come from the Darkness cloud. It appears next to it and flies off. Does anyone else think it could be an archangel? Going by the number of wings (3 sets) I'm sold...
I've got a theory, maybe someone already thought about it but here it is: At the end of season 10 they were preparing the ground to let Lucifer come back.
When Death said that Lucifer was the first one entrusted with the mark of Cain by God and that's the reason he went bananas and was cast into the pit, basically he was blaming the curse for him being "bad".
Lucifer gave the mark to Cain which gave it to Dean. But when Cain transferred the curse it didn't magically disappeared from his arm, making us deduce that Luci still had the mark during the whole apocalypse fiasco lol
Now that the curse has been broken,and the Darkness got set free, it means no one has the mark anymore.
Nor Dean nor Lucifer. If Dean has no lingering "badness" in himself probably Luci doesn't have either.
He is now supposedly good again and like someone pointed out, to defeat the Darkness we might need all the archangels... Lucifer and Gabe included.... now take your conclusions lol I took mine and I really really hope I'm not wrong! :D

+KHWendy28 Yeah but Sam its just a Human, Castiel is a celestial beign, a powerful angel of God yet lately he's displayed as a weakling.Back in S4 when he was a regular angel he seemed incredibly strong, getting shot by shotgun and not even flinching,getting stabbed,and getting punched in the face and it hurting dean,the last time he was displayed as powerful was ironically when he was weak after returning from purgatory and scared the hell outta Crowley. S9 and S10 have made him look like a weakling even tho he has he's original grace.

+COD4LI4E 69 Yes, he get weaker but I kind of understand why they make him weaker, it's because he was so strong in season 4 and they didn't want to use Cas as a Cas ex machina..Now in season 11 he is too weak and we are frustrated ( The writers needs to find a way to find a balance between weaker Cas who is human and Cas the badass angel )
