Why do I have a feeling that Kira is Sektor in this timeline? Since Zeffeero is Rain, while Dairou is Havik, Kira as Sektor really wouldn't be too far fetched. Then it would make sense to me.
@John-Stark Kobra is way too mid to even return at all. Kira as Sektor would make too much sense at this point because that would explain the genderswap bullshit. Then again, NRS fumbled Sektor and Cyrax for the 2nd time in a row now, so really, I have more faith for Cyber Smoke, and a potential Cyber Sub-Zero skin.

I wouldn't mind the gender swaps if they gave us a classic option. Like the premier skins from injustice 2. It changed the voice and look but not the move set. I feel like that would be a good compromise.
Nope if you accept that then that'll set a precedent for them! It should be the other way around! Give us the traditional classic regular male and or female characters with an option for a gender swapped model! Like Smash Bros! The default is cyrax and sector as their regular male selves and then alt costumes for them are gender swapped female versions with obviously female voices.

Actually, human Cyrax never relied on tech to do his thing, his powers as human didn't have anything to do with technology (and they are humans in this new era, theres no cyber iniative, just some kind of iron man suits) , tech was always a Sektor thing even as human and still is (since the idea of an armor is coming from Sektor according to Bi-Han's ending and expansion leaks. And Jacqui still exists in this new era according to intros leaked.

Im of the mind that a new timeline means changes and complaining that characters are different is undermining the story for your preference. I think mk didnt actually go hard enough on character changes. The game should have felt like a new beginning for the franchise. Whats the point of raiden given liu his powers if we going to keep asking from old characters back..we should be seeing new characters, new villians and new stakes. This was the moment for the franchise to open up like it never did before and what i think it did was play it safe. They even could have given us more background on old characters. It could have explore shang tsung time on earthrealm. Nope we got play it safe mk. Weird considering the franchise is a thing cause of the risk it took.
People who actually care about the story and lore if it wasnt for orin then taven wouldnt have been able to stop daegon or beat blaze and protected the realms...that is until mk9 came along and we still dont know who beat blaze but still orin is an important figure and gender swaping him is just dumb and lazy plus hes gold a gold dragon the only one in the entire series.
I honestly wish we could've gotten at least one nongender swapped cyborg ninja, but apparently not. As much of an odd request as it may sound, I feel like they should have Tri-borg back as the one male cyborg ninja and give him all the classic Sektor and Cyrax moves with said color palettes to give us the closest thing to the OG's, but that's just me complaining. Hopefully we get more classic characters in the next few kombat packs as long as they haven't been drastically altered to the point where they're barely recognizable

Triborg, depending on what skin you had, had four completely different special moves lists and in mk 2011, depending on the skin, sektor and cyrax’s special move animations were different. It is not out of the realm of possibilities that the Cyber Smoke skin get an extra move for him to have the spear like his story mode boss battle
I'm a long time mk fan.. however, based on what nrs and Ed boon has done to mk11 with abandoning it and them releasing mk1 being incomplete, I am officially done with them and moving back to rp games. I understand these companies have to make money but the fact they have gone away from what made their previous games great clearly shows that they are only going to get worse. 2k sports has done this and failed, Activision has done this and failed, along with many other companies. It's only about getting your money with nothing worthy of playing competitively. We could make these companies give us what we want but unfortunately the fans are different in a weird wokeish way and the bulk of fans/players seem like bots and takes whatever these companies give them no matter how horrible it is. We literally are getting downgrades of what use to be great across the board in regards of games and all entertainment. Yet we continue to accept it. Like, pretty much every single character on the roster has been completely changed or neutered. Im sure the spear would be there, but as a secret special unlisted move much like the up + high punch throw brutality all the characters can do and the throw combo brutality variant for Omni man. Mortal Kombat has a specialty when it comes to adding secrets. For all we know, since the move was made for that NPC, there's a good sporting chance that it could be a secret accessable unlisted special move exclusively to the cyber smoke skin. And who knows maybe we could get the added classic moves from UMK3. Netherrealm studios should seriously look into doing that.
Well there was a rumour months ago Conon was a DLC character with Kortal as a skin so you can get two characters in one and if it's the comic Conon not the Arnold one they could use Kortal's voice actor cus we don't know what the comic Conon sounds like

The Spider Man universe was cannon with the multiverse so as far as DEI Spider Man was a cannon gold mine for representation. I’m starting to think the whole female Cyber ninjas thing is somewhat fake or atleast not entirely true. Think about fr fr. Female Scorpion and Subzero so on so forth can be found in invasions. Who’s to say that’s not what they are? Chance encounters in invasions? Because bro, I saw the video of the audio and I was like…yo it’s literally just hit sounds and some yells. EDIT: I’m really starting to think this is just story mode wonky stuff. Heard the audio for the mysterious guy aswell and it just sounds like some nobody. Don’t sound like Kotal to me. Like I said in the original comment it’s nothing but hit sounds. So I think this is all just mob story fights like how Baraka had in his chapter.

What difference is there from making Cyrax female - I don't say I'm a fan, but cut them some slack. As far as I know they haven't changed a character's gender - changed, not a female counterpart

I said it in another video but i feel like its more relevant here, so ill say it again: whats the problem with genderswapping some characters? Like, pretty much every single character on the roster has been completely changed or neutered. Im pretty sure the only characters who are remotely similar to their original versions are kang, lao, and geras (admittedly im not too sure about the older characters like havik and nitara since all of that was before my time).
Where are all the people complaining about nrs ruining those characters? Or is it just the fact that the cyborg ninjas were rewritten to be girls that everyone has problems with? Like, genuinely, who gives a shit what gender the cyborg ninjas are in the fighting game as long as theyre fun to play? Are you guys sad that your favorite big strong men were turned into girls? Seriously, this game is all fucked up..too much focus on content(nothing wrong with that) but focus and attention to detail on the fighting system is what made mk great. Unfortunately, netherealm is following the recipe of failure that other companies are going through. Its time for a new company to make a new fighting game without the &AY shit and focus on the fighting system

Im sure the spear would be there, but as a secret special unlisted move much like the up + high punch throw brutality all the characters can do and the throw combo brutality variant for Omni man. Mortal Kombat has a specialty when it comes to adding secrets. For all we know, since the move was made for that NPC, there's a good sporting chance that it could be a secret accessable unlisted special move exclusively to the cyber smoke skin. And who knows maybe we could get the added classic moves from UMK3. Netherrealm studios should seriously look into doing that.
