Yes. I really would love to see Eyeballistic Studios make the release or even if NetherRealm releases their own. Still hoping for a full remaster of all the games from the original all the way up to Armageddon. Found some other posts on that note that may be of interest.

The other day Ed Boon tweeted out if you could only play one Mortal Kombat game for the rest of your life what we would it be. Most people said MK 1, 2, Ultimate, trilogy, Shaolin Monks, and 9. There was one person that said definitely not Mortal Kombat 1 New Era.

What I would like is for them to include some characters that weren’t originally in the game. I wanna see like scarlet & tremor, I know since they are already doing a remaster they are getting all new models I think it would be cool to see some newer characters included
This project actually started off on the TRMK forums as a MUGEN mod. A couple of guys there who knew about creating models and programming got together and pitched "Mortal Kombat: HD Remix" (taken from the "Street Fighter II: HD Remix" that was then just released). Everyone on the forum was welcome to contribute to it, and many did, including myself. It was worked on for about 5-6 years slowly as a MUGEN project, but somewhere along the way, it caught the attention of NRS (who were totally cool with it and encouraged it), and eventually WB, who put the axe down on it. So the team members got together and started a studio officially as Eyeballistic so they could bring it to WB and officially pitch it. They rebuilt everything they had on Unity and made a working demo with 4 characters and 2 stages. WB loved it, but didn't want to trust the IP to a studio with no games to their portfolio. Boon was pissed.
WB then hired a studio called Blind Squirrel to work on the game (they went the route of filming actors like the original game, there's photos online), and as it was nearing completion, Boon wouldn't sign off on it because he thought Eyeballistic's approach was better. Because the Kollection had already been announced, instead of cancelling it, they just released the arcade ports as "MK Arcade Kollection".
So Eyeballistic has been working on their own fighting game for the best several years so they can prove to WB that they're capable of doing it. It hasn't come out yet though.

I would sit there for hours and flip through pages of forum posts because the MK:HD Remix thread was like 400+ pages even at the time. Seeing all these guys making their first 3D models, giving each other feedback.
I remember the big Buddha statue, it was like a year long search to find the real thing so someone could take hi-res photos of it, and it was a huge moment when they finally found it. I think it was like a small garden gnome. And of course, we all know it as some huge statue in the game. Goes to show how crazy and creative the original MK team was with that kind of stuff.

I nope'd out after 3 in the arcade then kind of came back around 9 and X. A og trilogy would take me back to good times when i was plotting to cut school for mortal Monday genesis mk1 port. Id pick this up in a heartbeat!
An HD remaster of the original games would be awesome. I'd also like to see a new MK game with scans of real people like you showed near the end of the video.

Armageddon needs all the stages, fatalities, endings, and bring back two fighting styles again. It can be called Ultimate Mortal Kombat Armageddon and have an arcade mode similar to Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition.
gameplay of the eyeballistic version is out there. WB canned both of these, Ed brought eyeballistic to them.
People really hate mortal kombat 4 for no reason I wish for a recreation for mk4 and adding online, mk4 had one of the most up to ur face aggressive playstyle which was the greatest for me atleast
No, it's just that every game that shao kahn wasn't the big bad in, just wasn't as good. With the exception of the original mk1. Shao kahn kinda makes the game. Mk9 was the best fighting game ever made.
Just leave out those awful PS1 endings 😅. But seriously I still bust out my Dreamcast every now and then just to play MK4 and MVC2. MVC2 coming to PS4 will probably soon retire my Dreamcast since most worthwhile titles have been ported.
They should call it Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remaster. Include everything from stages, characters, endings, fatalities/babalities/animalities/brutalities/friendships and stage fatalities. Include every song, character silhouette from MK1-MK3 like having MK1 Raiden and MK2 Raiden, MK2 Kung Lao and MK3 Kung Lao and Jax. Polish and smoother gameplay like MK2. This game also needs an arcade mode similar to Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition. Make the game like Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and MK: Armageddon pretty much but remake and remaster MK Trilogy but include the Ultimate title. New characters, stages, and finishers would be nice like how Ultra Street Fighter 2 did adding a new fighter. Also include the N64 exclusive features in it as well. Also an enhanced difficulty should happen for newcomers and next generation players and add 1 button fatalities, etc. a graphic swap like Halo: MCC would be nice. And bring back classic mk music as a toggle. I think Mythologies sub-zero and Shaolin monks remake should happen and both games be combined as two stories in one game.
mk1, 1990s movie, the game, wont sell well, but us fans would love it, all the stages and characters from the movie, be amaizing

I was bad at the original MK games but it's what I grew up with so I'd be down for a remaster. And I don't mind them using AI but I think it would maybe make more sense to get someone to do a film remaster on the original footage they used for the sprites and then go from there. Might be more work but it would look better and then maybe they could use AI to tighten it up. Though tbh I'm more interested in the possible Shaolin Monks thing
I still play MK 2 on the Saturn, SNES, 32X, and Sega Genesis whenever I get the itch to play them.
It's nice to have them, but it's a helluva' lot of wire-wrangling just to fire up each intro screen.
Netherealm is not exactly honoring the fans who've paved this franchise's success in the first place...

The mortal kombat arcade kollection is on ps3 or 360. Just get a used console for cheap and play it there. And might as well get mk9 as well!

It’s a legal issue, the OG cast never got royalties for MK1-3 and so on. That’s why Johnny cage isn’t on the arcade 1up cab
Original MK Trilogy deserve ports to current gen just as much as Resident Evil 1,2 & 3 Nemesis do. Game preservation matters and both trilogies deserve to be enjoy by both old and new generations.
Not a port, but a re-assembling of the old 2D assets. The PSX version of Trilogy was terrible, as it was missing content and suffered from downgraded graphics and audio quality. They just need to do what they did in 1996 all over again....But better.
Mortal Kombat 9 needs a remastered with fully playable bosses & MK Trilogy needs a remastered IMO.

9 was the last true mk game. Minimal DLC, the challenge tower....it is the best modern MK game by miles. The classics? Easily MK2, no game has gotta close to that.

Considering that the FGC is more hyped for the MVC collection, WB and NRS might want to start taking notes.
Mortal kombat doesn't need the fgc it's popular on it's own. Mk fans don't care about the fgc. We want the old games.
FGC has nothing to do with classic MK, unlike old SF games they were fundamentally broken and unbalanced, so without a total rework and rebalance, OG MK will never go even remotely close to fighting community scene except some nostalgia feels.
It baffles me how we actually managed to get a Marvel Vs Capcom collection before an MK collection. Bringing Marvel back required the empossible to happen like 3 times in a row; first somebody had to actually sway Disney, then they had to negotiate all the licenses, then they had to get all those games ported. Meanwhile, there's Mortal Kombat, which despite the entire franchise being under one rights holder, still hasn't gotten a port for modern systems.
They saw they are releasing Marvel Vs Capcom series again and NetherRealm studios would probably want in that action as well for the top 3 MK games of the arcades

I mean if NRS and WB were smart they would give us MK 1, MK 2, MK3, UMK4, MKT, MK4, and MK 9 in one collection for every console with cross-play for everything it would be amazing. Look at the success Konami had with the TMNT Cowabunga Collection and Capcom with their recent Fighting game collections. It's a no-brainer at this point if WB likes money, I'm sure MK 1 would take a hit but would any MK fan be disappointed about that?
We could only hope for something as sexy as that. Although mk9 would have to have freddy and Kratos out of the game
@@ThePolishman87 Freddy should be fine since he was in all versions but Kratos I can see causing an issue with every version except PS. I doubt Sony would ok him in every other version, on the bright side he wasn't that great to use but that's another story lol

@@ThePolishman87 Right, but I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem since Freddy is New Line Cinema, they're still affiliated with WB. New Line also does the MK movies (besides WB now) If it was someone else entirely Universal or something then it would be a pain. If you're curious You can also still get MK9 on Steam via a key or physical version then install and Steam does the rest.

Anyone can make a 3d rendered 'HD Remake' there are a lot of modders out there.
I am more interested in a remake with actual high resolution digitized sprites with martial arts actors.

I would love to see this happen. I feel so bad for poor MK4, because it's been ignored for so long. Left out in the cold for so long. Mortal Kombat 4 needs to be included.

In the early version, MK4 was included in MK Arcade Kollection for PS3 and Xbox when Ed Boon posted it on Twitter in 2011, but they removed MK4 because the problem with getting MK4 for the arcade emulated was that there was practically no documentation for the Zeus hardware. The Zeus chip was used for arcades only. All the MK games so far in MAT (Midway Arcade Treasure 2) have been emulated with MK1 on the Premium MK disc and MK2/MK3 on MAT2 and Ultimate MK3 on Premium - MK Armageddon, and MK2 was added on MK: Shaolin Monks. It still doesn't work on MK4 because of the Zeus hardware. Midway confirmed it a long time ago. They simply don't know what to do with the ROM's check. If they don't emulate MK4 arcade, they can put MK Gold.

The arcade edition on the 360 glitched out for me as well. What I did was delete it and went to my purchase history on my profile and redownloaded it. The full version was back.

TBH i prefer the older ones ,i grew up play the first 3 in a arcade . the MK's on ps4 &5 just seems like to many things to remember button wise , i like fighting games to be simple and fun that's why i played them in the first place or it could be a nostalgic thing .but yah ive been wanting them to just give us a mk trilogy with better graphics

At the least give us a collection, MK, 2, 3, UMK3 (+variants), MKT both versions, 4, Gold, DA, Dec, Unchained, Arm w/ Khameleon. Maybe the 3 spinoff.
Then come at some point later with MK Kollection 2 with VDC, 9, XL.
11 and 1 if online is a must, Idc to have them. That really goes for all of them. If internet access is needed to play them, then I really don't want them.

A arcade mode like Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition would be good with these ideas of selecting a game but it is still MK: Trilogy like the third MK3 Update.
I would be happy with Trilogy with rollback netcode. That's all I want.

I think WB is allergic to money. Put a mk 1, 2, 3, umk3, and something random like the grid and put it on all systems. It's a simple recipe for them to get paid but they're either too scared or stupid to pull the trigger
MK is a rotting corpse which most are walking away due to the stench. MKX was the last good game. If they wish to rise like a phoenix, they’re going to have to do something drastically different.

Mk3, ultimate mk3, mk3 trilogy is my jam.
Releasing the original arcade ports of Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3 holds little interest to me, as we have purchased these titles multiple times and they are readily accessible nowadays. What myself and many others desire are high-definition ports of Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3. This is the priority. I remain skeptical that NetherRealm will undertake this endeavor, given their focus on developing new Mortal Kombat games that are perceived as declining in quality. Please prioritize the release of HD ports for Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3, Boon and NetherRealm.

Fans need to fight for it plan and simple. If we can fight for characters being in these different MK games then we can fight for an MK Kollection game for new consoles.
My inner child would jump out and just start bawling his eyes out. Back when life was simple, I always imagined how much potential MK had and how it could be so much more. I couldn't even imagine MK Trilogy looking this awesome. I really hope they pick this up and run with it. Maybe add new moves, revamp animations, and so on. There's so much they can do now compared to what they couldn't back then 'cause of the lack of space. I need this so bad 😵💫🤞

I’d love to see a 3D MK Kollection. Deadly alliance, Deception, Armageddon in one with upgraded graphics. This would be a great time to do it as MK1 has focused more on 3D era Fighters this time around. It would be a good way to get people who never got to experience the 3D mk’s back in the day to experience it now.
One thing NRS is scared to do a remaster or remake of games because of one thing Splitting the player base well not just NRS but other gaming studios

At the time little people didn't know mortal Kombat 1 2 and 3 were on sale on PlayStation 3 once upon a Time.. I have the collection and played it online with friends.. I also have a PS2 to play deadly alliance and deception and Armageddon and Shaolin monks and also MK versus DC... I practically have every mortal Kombat game... But this is why I don't give up consoles and games I collect them I will never give them up.. newer generations are going to want to play 360 games super Nintendo old school Nintendo Sega etc in the long run it's better to collect these rather than give them up for a better deal for the newer generation console...

I'd kill for a MKSM remake/remaster on PC, or a MKSM-style game exploring the new realms after Liu Kang's restart.
MKSM holds such a special place in my heart. I've always been an MK fan, I played the original trilogy on a SNES emulator on the family computer (too poor to buy an actual SNES), and MKSM was my first (and only) PS2 game.
We were going through some really hard times back then, it didn't help that I live in Honduras (my third-world country fellas will understand), but somehow my parents managed to buy me a PS2 and only one game, MKSM. I didn't even have a memory card, so I know that game better than the back of my hand lol. It's such a shame they've done nothing similar in recent years.
God, I miss that PS2, it died after my cousin tripped on the cables and it hit the ground, corner first. The console literally split horizontally and the disk flew across the room.
Screw the action adventure stuff, give us the first 3. If Capcom can, NRS ca…oh wait, WB wouldn’t be able to ram microtransactions down our throats. Oh wait, we can unlock the bosses for an extra $15 in an in-collection shop.
None of these will happen. They couldn't even give us anything special for the MK 30th anniversary so I don't think they will any other way. The only other thing they gave us is that mobile gacha game Mortal Kombat Onslaught.
I had the mk (1,2,3) kollection on PS3, and i think i still own it but not sure if online works. It wasnt re-rendered though. It was like ps1 visual with a sharpening filter or something.

mmmmm.....NO! 3D is the problem. Give us the enhanced version and art style of old with today's inputs. NOW THAT would be trill!! Just like the MVC SNK CAPCOM fighting games of old, that art style just has some ....potent wisdom in it. It was so ambitious....yeah give us that art style. Incorporate some of the peeps of old that help dev the first, if they still alive...and make THAT SHIZ happen...but a 3d reimagine......NA.
Another kart game would be amazing.. Loads of characters to choose from.. Each with special token moves and classic stages with traps and deaths etc plus online play

I just ended up grabbing an Arcade1Up MKII Cab here in Australia ($699) from BigW. Sounds great but the resolution doesn't feel quite as good as the original Arcade... I like it but it's not something everyone has room for. I don't.
