I find it sad that the anonymity of social media allows people to expose their base cruelty, in abusive, rude, nasty behaviour toward anyone and everyone. People who troll others, and get their kicks from criticizing and tearing other people down. Doing so exposes their insecurity in having to feel superior to others. It’s an incredibly sad state. Why can’t people be happy that someone is being successful? Just do the work and find out what works for you and not tear other people down who try things differently.

I'm at 20 grams of carbs because I have avocados in my diet. My ancestors left me with a gene that required avocados...lol Still working on eliminating dairy just to see if it makes a difference. This is a big improvement from my old way of eating where I used to eat 4 pieces of French toast with syrup as a normal breakfast.

  • @ErinCRN
    @ErinCRN 28 дней назад +19

In my mind keto is high fat and less than 20gms of carbs a day. So if you are a combo of keto and carnivore (Ketovore) you are very high fat, animal based, and less than 20gms of carbs a day. So, if that’s the definition, I am that. I eat high fat carnivore the two times I eat a day. I drink coffee. The only non carnivore food I eat are pickles, rare spices, and pistachios. I love pistachios and I’m not giving them up. They are my salty snack if I need one. I don’t eat pickles or pistachios every day. I tried to add back some fruit this past summer and had disastrous results- belly bloat, acne, depression, weight gain of 8 pounds. I’ve tried to eat a few vegetables with disastrous results as well. So none for me.

In a scientific experiment the N is used to indicate the number of subjects in the study. In Neisha's science experiment she is the Only subject being studied so her N is 1. So we are being challenged to be scientific, carefully and with integrity, with the goal of learning what is best for our single selves, not anyone else. We all have many things in common with how our bodies work but we are each unique, depending on genetics strengths and weaknesses, past experience, past damages and nutrition patterns, and toxins and injuries and insults we have experienced along the way. The only way to know for You what is best for your goals is to try different things out. And the only way to not waste a lot of time experimenting randomly is to use a properly executed elimination diet. Neisha has the Best! Thanks Neisha. It is a LOT of work to put all that into a program and pattern than anyone can follow.

I think on this journey you find what fits you best. I started keto with meat and green veg only, that got old so I started following people online making all these keto elaborate meals that was exhausting and I missed the flavors of my old meals, then I started making my old recipes with replacement ingredients making it Keto. That all worked I lost lots of weight and reversed/eliminated many health issues. But as I got 9 months into it I started wanting just meat and more simple meal plans. Now I do Ketovore because I refuse to give up avocado, sauces and some spices. I only really eat a vegetable if I am out with a group at a restaurant. And I kinda eat the same few dishes over and over. I feel fantastic look so much better and am just very happy where the journey has taken me. You have to do what fits for you and your goals . Because eating any form of a proper diet is a win!

Once I realized how addicted I was to sugar, I was able to push harder to get the crap out of my food choices. It can be very hard to change, as in my case, when the others in my life don’t agree with the choices I’m making to improve my health. I just keep moving forward and making better choices daily. I totally fall somewhere in the "ketovore" realm, what I eat doesn't follow any rules but is what makes me feel my best and that just happens to be animals and few veg and fruit here and there. It's hard being real with yourself, I fell for the whole Ray Peet, you can fix your metabolism by eating fruit, honey and copious amount of milk, sour dough, potatoes, masa, ect. Gained ALL 80lbs I had lost on ketovore previously plus 20 more 😢. I was so hard for me to come to terms with what I had done and that it wasn't working for me. Even with the constant pain, chronic migraines, rage, ridiculous insomnia it took me some time before I consented back to ketovore. But I'm back here and slowly taking off again, slowly resolving what I did. I've been watching you and Dr B from the behind and appreciate how kind and real you are❤ love you!

I think the personalized approach is excellent. N/1 to me says that carnivore is the perfect elimination diet. Start with ruminant meats for a month or two, add one by one other animal fats and proteins and see which ones make you feel best, maintain that for a couple of months to solidify your knowledge. Once solidly healthy and at desired weight add ONE AT A TIME low oxalate, lectin and Fodmap foods and see what makes you feel at least as good as you feel on carnivore or better. Yes, this takes time, but well worth it to get in touch with your body and what makes you feel optimal. Learning what makes you feel icky is an important component of getting healthy and no longer yo-yoing between health and illness.

Meantime, huuuge thanks to you for recommending iodine drops for helping with foot pain/plantar fasciitis- massive life changer for me to walk around for 5-6 hours a day at a theme park this weekend with no pain!

I thought when you coined the word ketovore. I loved it. Just like keto, ketovore, carnivore there is levels in each. N=1 is what type and level is successful for “you”. You are helping so many people. Keep up the good work.

I just think people are dense. I totally understand the terms and I think they fit perfectly for each lifestyle. To each his own you make this diet way of eating according to your body and what you need. It doesn't have to be exactly what everybody is doing. I always say you have to cut it down to what works for you. If it works you feel good and your your test results come back good then there is no problem. I love the word ketovore.

Neisha, Ketovore is a fine way to describe a 95% carnivore diet. That how I eat. Some people just can't function without being asses. Just block those jerks. 😉🥰

Most of my meals are- bacon strips and avocado slices or hamburger/steak with mushrooms/onions or salmon and broccoli. I I’m feeling good with this. Also have Greek plain yogurt with berries on occasion or Macadamia nuts for “dessert”. This is pretty much my life long way of eating . I could lose those last 10 pounds, if I went a bit stricter, not sure if it’s “worth it”. 😁 have been maintaining on this WOE for a couple years now.

I like the name. It describes me better. I was pure Carnivore and am still 95% Carnivore after 15 months. However, I have started to reintroduce a small amount of select vegetables every other day or so and I also eat a bit of berries when in season. So far it agrees with me and none of my chronic health problems have come back. People need to do what's right for them. Thanks for your video...keep up the good work.

Update on LMNT Ingredients: Only their Raw version is clean. All of their flavored ones have a small amount of Malodextrin. This is disclosed on their website, but it's not on the product packaging because the FDA does not require disclosure/transpareny on the product packing when the amount is below a certain amount. From a Type 2 Diabetes pov, I would rather product packages were transparent. There are other brands that have similar amounts of electrylytes with no bad ingredients in them.
Keto under 30grms of carbs daily is my chosen lifestyle and has helped me to reverse my symptoms and off all meds ;-) Some meals are carnivore and most days I am under 20grms of carbs. Thank you for all you do ;-)

Every BODY is individual. So each person must figure out what works best for their BODY.. it is trial and error. It takes time and effort to learn what you need. And no one has judgement rights. It’s hard enough of figure out what I need to eat. And I don’t have the time or energy to judge others for what they eat.

I use Ketovore because I eat meat based , steaks, FB, butter, bacon, I do consume isopure zero carb protein powder, heavy cream, coffee, primal kitchen sauces and seasonings. I'm 56 yo and want to be more fit and get rid of my metabolic disease symptoms. I was becoming pre diabetic and high blood pressure and the doctor wanted to put me on BP, Cholesterol, Diabetes meds etc. I'm on TRT replacement and 7 weeks into Ketovore I'm feeling stronger and my body composition is beginning to change for the better. I like the red yellow green food approach it makes sense once I reach my body composition goals of a size 34 waist and minimal body fat

As far as Carnivore is concerned I absolutely love it and have been doing it for 3 years

I've tried them all-keto, carnivore, ketovore, etc. I never got on with red meats, then other meats... Anyhow, after six months of adaptation and elimination, I avoid starches and plants. I now eat maybe one or two light meals per day, skip breakfast, and don't eat past 7 p.m. If I am hungry, I eat a boiled egg, which does wonders. The key is not to follow someone else's diet but to find your own that works for you. I am 5 stone lighter with my own diet.

Thanks for such an honest perspective on diet and the mindset necessary. I fluctuate between low carb and keto but mainly meat based. I’ve lost 30 pounds and feel great. No brain fog and lots of energy. I do have Hashimoto’s. I’m seriously considering the carnivore elimination diet just to see if it makes any difference in anything else. I do know I can’t eat bread ever as I break out into a rash on my neck and feel like crap the next day. Thanks for sharing your journey, you are a great encouragement 💙Cheryl
