- Here we are teaching you the process of cleaning a Quick Mill Rubino coffee machine which has an E61 style group head. The process of cleaning this really is the same as cleaning any other coffee machine with an E61 style group head such as a La Marzocco Linea Mini or a Giotto Rocket for example.
To keep your machine in great condition and your coffee tasting amazing, as a general rule we recommend cleaning your domestic coffee machine after every kilogram of coffee that you put through it. This is a simple way to get in the habit of doing it on a regular basis and making sure the machine is getting the TLC it deserves.
If you have any questions about cleaning your coffee machine or need some advice be sure to get in touch or leave a comment below.

Great video and explanation by Luke , I’m guilty of using a pinch but will use 1tsp now haha. Thanks
Cheers buddy
I've been told you should only use a 1quater of a tea spoon of cleaner ,is this correct ?
Nope, it won’t do anything to clean your machine. Read the instructions on the container, it will never say a 1/4 of chemical
Ok thanks for that,
I bought a Lelit Bianco Machine from Jet Black and their cleaner .They have customer care instructions on how to clean the machine, mentions to use a quarter of a tea spoon .
I don't think this is enough, definitely will start
Using 1 teaspoon make a lot more sense.
make a lot more sense
Does frequent use of the cleaning chemical degrade the seals/lubricant on on the E61 lever?
It can do, but getting it in an flushing it out correctly will be fine. It would take a lot of chemicals to wreck a home machine
I actually have to set a schedule. You said once each time you add a bag of beans. I assume you mean to the grinder. Those of us with one dose grinders would be doing this after each drink. Based on your description. I clean once a week.
Can you compare your cleaner to biocaf? biocaf appears to be decent. It is free of dangerous chemicals. I still flush out the cleaner but feel safe to know any chemical left should not be harmful.
Each time you buy a bag and weight out your single doses, it has to be regular, that’s the key. Sorry I have not come across that brand of chemical, any will do, Cafetto is a major brand in Oz doing a great product
Never descale a machine as Rocket advise
Good filtering is the key! Check out our other video that covers this
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Where can i find the video covering filtering? Thanks a lot!
