    Watching from Thailand! So fun to see Worcester, would have been fun to run this one.
    Great to see a pb for you! Congrats!
    Also refreshing to see running videos with running times that is more like most of us watching!
    Can totally relate to going out to fast and getting overtaken the whole race!
    Well done Andy! Keep up the good running and videos.

      Legend Martin thanks! It was a varied course, but can't complain as there was hardly any elevation.

    Great race video and well done on the PB. For the GNR, make sure you have your name printed big on your vest so you get loads of cheers. Stay near the 1:45 pacer (not too close as it gets too crowded) so you don't go off too fast. Don't worry about time, just take in the atmosphere. When you get to 9-10 miles push on if you can, if not you'll still have a great day. Good luck.

    Well done Andy on the PB. Must be great running on your doorstep. I spent my Sept 4th driving at 4am from Brum down to London to do the very disappointing Big Half. Your course looked very random but interesting. I should have done that instead as only 20 odd mins down the road on a Sunday morning

    • @itsonandy
      @itsonandy  2 года назад

      I've heard so many people said the sme about BH! Gutted that it wasn't the experience that you wanted. Worcester is always a good shout! The one in May around the villages is a very different story...

    • @mrtwostrike
      @mrtwostrike 2 года назад

      Why was it disappointing? I was meant to run it but couldn’t because of work

    • @mrk2450
      @mrk2450 2 года назад +1

      @@mrtwostrike Apart from Tower Bridge and Cutty Sark, the turnout from the locals was really disappointing. It seems they were not interested in the race and rather annoyed with the inconvenience of road closures. It is the reverse half of the worst bits of the London Marathon with alot of time running around the very uninspiring Canary Wharf and those big tall buildings screwing with the GPS. It had me doing 1km in 1 and a half mins on the Garmin 😂. I had already done nearly 2km from bag drop to start line. I waited for around half hour to get into the "start pen" at my allocated time only to find out when I got there, once the elites had gone, I could have started when I wanted too, without that hanging around. Great communication break down there. Then, on finish, it was probably another 2 km to get my bag, which I then changed clothes, then another 1km to get my tee shirt, which was a very uninspired design, but I spent another 5 mins unpacking my bag because they wanted to see my race bib, which was attached to my tee shirt I had put away before they would give me the tee shirt. I had heard that it is not the best if running in London, but I gave it the benefit, but I can safely say I will not be doing that one again.
      The only positive, it was my second fastest half with a chip time of 1:41.41

      @@mrk2450 congrats on your time and thanks for the info. Sounds like a typical London affair. I usually try to stay clear of it as much as I can tbh 😂

    Just enjoy the GNR - it’s so big unless you have an early wave start it’s not really a PB course as you spend half your time dodging people. Defo don’t go off too fast as first 5k is the quickest and you will suffer on the John Reid Road if you have over cooked it
