- This is my Hackney Half Marathon Race Vlog. Probably one of my favourite vlogs so far.
Hackney Half Marathon is one of the biggest half marathons in the UK and I was privileged to take part In it as I attempted a half marathon PB. The streets of Hackney are simply unmatched because the support for runners is electric.

It was an amazingly hot day day. So… this was my first time running it but I meant a faster time than my last half marathon (London landmarks)

Good job Aubrey! Don't listen to elitists that certain shoe is not good for you because you don't fit certain the body type profile. What a crap! If you feel good, you deserve to wear that shoe. Only you can judge that. If you never try you would never know.

Okay...I see you...putting in that work. Respect. Now I gotta keep it real. That's a ball/forefoot striker shoe for BMI's of 24 or less. For you that shoe lacks stability and has a mid foot lateral sway behavior due to the two-layer PEBA midsole - and I don't think Hoka would deny that. The Skyward X would have kept your mechanics proper, better supported your frame & style of running - and you would have performed at even a high level. On race day for the M and Half distance, the best shoe is the least fatiguing, no matter the weight. Check it out.
I will check this out for sure. I enjoyed running in the Cielo X1 but it’s always a possibility that another shoe could help me even be more efficient
