Being a new dad, I can definitely relate to the parenting advice about living in the moment now. As much as I want my boys to be old enough to sleep through the night (so I can sleep through the night), I will never be able to get this current moment back. I need to soak it all in while I can 😭
I feel like you really glossed over Bridges saying he wanted to do an Iornman without training for it. That is insane to think of doing it period, but to do it without training is insane. I would have loved to hear more about that. Loved the interview overall.
Craig, you should listen to the Tim Ferriss podcast when you are able, specifically to focus on questions and follow-up questions. I have noticed you improving as you go along, but this might take you to another level. «You're only as good as the questions you ask», Tim Ferriss once said.

You always ask what keeps these people focused when they're being mentally strained by a workout. I'm not sure where or exactly when, but I saw a video of JB years ago and he was asked some kind of the same question. His answer, and don't quote me, was "never turn away from the barbell or the box..or whatever it is you're doing. Mentally, if you're faced away from your challenge, it's beaten you." That basically sums up what he said. That still sticks with me in each workout I do. "Never turn your back to your enemy or your goal and you'll never be defeated."
